From the very first conversation, Tracey was nothing short of exceptional. Her warmth, professionalism, and genuine care made what was a stressful process feel reassuring and even enjoyable. Tracey’s skill as a sales negotiator is outstanding. She communicated clearly, acted with integrity, and handled everything with confidence and grace. It was obvious that she wasn’t just representing a property she was representing herself as well as well as the company name, truly every company/office needs a Tracey in it!!
May I also add, Tracey was there to answer the phone to me every step of the way while my own sales negotiator would not answer the phone, Tracey deserves the biggest congratulations from everyone!!

I had a few estate agents come out to see me and chose Barbers due to their professionalism, sensitive understanding of my situation and explaining everything clearly from the start. They really stood out above the others that had visited, and I was disappointed throughout the whole process.
The sale turned out to be a very complicated sale due to many issues we weren’t aware of initially,. Barbers supported me through the whole process. Matthew negotiated with the buyer instead of leaving it to the solicitors, which would have increased my legal costs, on many occasions. Overall a very drawn out, emotionally and stressful sale and I am so glad I chose Barbers to guide me through this. I felt they were by my side without having to ask. I would recommend them without hesitation.

I was treated really badly by the estate when viewing a house today, I was in the property for around 2 minutes to the point where i had to leave as the estate agent's customer service and overall attitude and presence was not someone i was looking to work with. I walked into the house and asked a few basic questions surrounding the house, for which i received answers such as "why would i know" or "i don't understand why you're asking so many questions" I was just trying to understand why the house was on for sale and also what the elements of the house are like, she then said "why would i waste my time asking the vendors these questions when you may not like the house." and i said "what if i do like the house and the questions i am asking you determines if i want to view again and offer." she then still decided to scoff at me asking questions. i then said i will leave this viewing here after 2 minutes of being in the property as her customer service was appalling, she was not welcoming or helpful at all, and when i was asking relevant questions she was in no position to say i'll confirm that with the office and get back to you but instead gave me rude replies. Buying a house is stressful enough and with the service i was provided with today has made me decide i will never view a house from barbers ever again as this experience as a whole was horrible, and they need to invest in some training in customer service if this is how they treat house viewers. utterly appalling.
update: 01/03/2024, after barbers said their director will contact me regarding this, its now been 5 days since that and i still haven't received any form of contact regarding how badly i have been treated. anyone who views from Barbers beware of Suzanne Fisher, worst customer service i have ever received.
i was clearly right when i said they need to invest in some customer service training and the lack of reply proves it.

I have been blown away by my experience with Barbers. From beginning to end. I saw a house I liked and I was able to view promptly. Most estate agents had huge wait lists. They were professional and always in contact.
Jane helped me navigate all the first steps as an anxious, first time buyer. The information was clear and so helpful. Once the offer was accepted I was then in contact with Tracy who was a gem. She was in weekly contact with me, chasing solicitors and there if I had any questions.

Jacqui came out to value and photograph our property and left a great impression with us and after that, Tracey took over with liasing with us about every step of the process and was fantastic.
When my moving weekend went wrong and I was worried about returning the keys on time, Tracey was so lovely and understanding and offered to give me extra time.
As it turns out, I didn’t need it and we managed to hand the keys back on time.

Tracey Butler who is the Sales Progressor in the Wellington branch looked after us and I can honestly say she made the arduous journey of selling a house as pleasant as it could be. Tracey kept us informed on a weekly basis, so we knew what was happening, which I'm sure you will agree when you're in a chain is one of the main things you want to know. Our first buyer unfortunately had to pull out in the early stages, but Tracey was very reassuring and in less than a week we had another buyer which meant we didn't lose the house that we wanted to buy. Tracey is brilliant at her job, no doubt about that, but she's also professional and cheerful whist she's doing it. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Not the best estate i have spoke to in telford.
Its took me 2 days for them to get in touch about a rental property.
Which then they were okay, sent me a video of the rental property, and i said we would like to apply. So we both filled out the applications forms and sent them back, to which they said, the landlord doesnt want shared people,
But why couldnt they said this from the start when they knew two people were applying, wasted our time on the application forums for them to turn around and say no, and the rudeness after when i asked why send them was disgusting. Very rude staff who dont know how to do there jobs.

We've tried contacting Barbers Estate agents in Wellington, Telford on multiple occasions by online requests and via phone and we've never had any response to any of our requests. When you phone it just rings and rings without answer.
Today I decided to go to the actual estate agent to ask about arranging a viewing of a property that was listed but when I got there the door was locked even though I could see someone in there. She eventually came you the door and was very rude. Basically said she couldn't do anything to help me as the lettings team don't work weekends and then closed the door on me.
I find this very odd since the website clearly says they are open sat 9am till 4pm. I feel like she was annoyed that I'd disturbed her from doing no work.

We went to Barber’s due to a bad experience with another agent but said if it didn’t work out this time we would just sell the property. What a difference we delete with Andrea and Belinder and they were amazing, so easy to talk to keeping you up to date all the time. I have just sold my Georgian farm house through Barbers. They were fabulous, especially Tracy and Imogen in the Wellington office. They are proof that it really does pay to use a local estate agent . Barbers took professional photos including drone pictures that really showed my property to its best. I had updates after each viewing by mail and call. During the sales process Tracy chased the buyers and there solicitors. I had updates all the time. My buyers used a national chain who were useless . If it wasn't for Barbers I would have pulled out. Am very happy to recommend them.

My husband and I have been extremely impressed by Barbers Wellington office who have looked after us start to finish.
All staff I spoke to were helpful and had a great attitude. I'd especially like to thank Imogen, Matthew and the amazing Tracey who I could not believe was new in role. My goodness Tracey works her absolute socks off!
I can't thank all of you at Barbers Wellington enough, your attitude to client satisfaction is second to none. You earn every penny of your fee - the amount of problems we had to overcome that you supported us with, you earned every penny believe me!

We had a first class service from start to finish, keeping us informed and chasing progression throughout the whole process. Hannah & Imogen were amazing during the whole process along with everyone else in the Wellington office. The photographer they use is exceptional, producing some very attractive pictures which reflected the property's greatest features. I would definitely recommend using Barbers professional services.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! *REVIEW WITH UPDATE*
As first time buyers we were appalled by Barbers' service. We found a property namely "12 William Ball Drive" just over a week ago, rang them and confirmed our position and arranged a viewing. During this call we confirmed we were first time buyers and looking to use the Help to Buy scheme.
When we visited the property, the estate agent hinted that it may be available for under £400,000 due to them wanting to sell. We were further advised that no one else was looking at the property therefore there was no rush to put an offer in that weekend. After using the weekend to think about it, we visited the property twice more.
When we were two minutes away from visiting for the third time we were advised that they had sold the property but we could still put an offer in. This was after paying £350 for a surveyor to survey the building for us because by their own admission, the property needed work to finish it off. We were not advised that others were interested despite having booked a surveyor.
We were then advised by Imogen that they would need over £400,000 to secure the property. It later transpired they wanted £410,000 for the sale. We were then advised that no matter what offer we put in, it would be first come first serve against the other couple whom had placed an offer. This would have meant we would have applied for a mortgage with no guarantee of winning the house if and when the mortgage came through. We were then told an immediate £10,000 deposit would be needed to secure the property. This started feeling like a scam and alarm bells started to ring.
Once we had sent in our Agreement in Principle we were then notified that Help To Buy was not an option on this property. This meant that three visits, £350 to a surveyor and a lot of time had been completely wasted by their lies, deceit and above all, rudeness. Who would apply for a mortgage formally when you know the property is not reserved and another couple/family could take it from you. This would make your credit report look negative and would waste at least a month of your time.
We were absolutely gutted this was our first proper experience on the property market and we will never use Barbers or recommend them to anyone. We would love our £350 back for the surveyor but I doubt that will happen.

*UPDATE*
Managing Director called and questioned as to why we hadn't thought to reach out to him... surely if the situation gets that bad and you have to go to the MD to try and buy a property off of the estate agent, you are just not going to buy from them? He also blamed it on us for the fact that they did not advertise the Help to Buy scheme. It is true, they did not advertise it but if you are verbally told it is there on three visits you are going to trust them aren't you. No offer of refund for the £350 spent on a survey and he barely expressed an apology. Absolute joke.
