Terrible property management team. For over a month there has been water backing up in my friends kitchen, he has been reporting it almost daily with little or no action. He can now not use his washing machine, his dishwasher or the kitchen sink because water backs up in the flat. The kitchen cupboards are now water damaged and he has to do washing up in his bath. He has 2 kids. A very poor service for the tenant and landlord

I'm so sorry it's taken us so long to write this review! Moving with a toddler is not for the faint hearted haha! But now that we've some what settled - I could not fault intercounty Stansted! From the very first evaluation with Peter to competition with Tom we had so much guidance and support. They were excellent especially with dealing with our buyers solicitors who were awful and extremely rude to both them and our solicitors (they were also Stansted based for anyone looking at solicitors avoid).
Incredibly friendly and not at all pushy or your "typical" estate agents. They respect you and your home and guide you rather than tell you what to do. If we ever want to move back to the area in the future they will be our first port of call for sure! We have recommended them so many times already!

What a fabulous team! ?
Thank you, Peter Telford, Tom Ruszkowski….and particularly Carol Philpott.
Together they made the whole sales process easy in a tough market, particularly for leasehold properties which can have cladding and ground rent issues often needing insurance cover and deeds of variation.
With all their help the leasehold sale took only 13 weeks from offer to completion…just shows what can be achieved with a professional estate agency team.
They were all very helpful arranging viewings to suit everyone and one of the team always accompanied potential buyers which made everyone feel comfortable.
At every stage of the sale they kept us well informed of progress, potential delays and what actions they were taking to maintain open communication and progress with all parties.
When the buyer agreed to purchase, Carol managed progress in the ‘chain’ including ensuring that the legal firms were continually moving ‘matters’ forward and assisting our buyer (who was unfamiliar with the complex paperwork) with many aspects of the sale which could have hindered progression.
We applaud Intercounty’s dedicated approach…????

We recently sold our house via Intercounty Stansted. Carol, Peter, James, Lisa and Doug (from the Stortford branch) were all amazing at keeping us up to date and trying to help us get everything over the line. Solicitors on one side of the transaction were difficult to pin down and Peter/Carol had to listen to me be stressed many a time for fear of losing our buyer and also losing our then mortgage offer, which would have seriously impacted our financials given the interest uncertainty.
If you're looking to sell your house and want a team that will support you through it as well as keep you calm just when you need to be, then look no further!

I would like to give 5 stars for the excellent service from James, Peter, Carole and Heidi. Whenever I call up nothing is too much trouble, I am always greeted by a friendly helpful voice at the end of the phone. They are constantly keeping us up to date and pushing the prices forward.
My move has been quite stressful at times but the team have been fabulous and steered us through the difficult parts and been very upbeat. They were extremely knowledgable regarding the conveyancing and understanding of grade listed properties. They have in no doubt really pushed the process of the sale of my property. Janes and the others quite often rang the solicitors to deal with issues and were extremely proactive in getting stuff done and finding solutions to problems that arose.. I am looking to buy a house for my sister, we were shown 8 houses in a well organised tour lasting approx. 3 hours by Heidi Hutchings. Aside from 2 houses which were added to the list late on (and which had already been discounted by my sister and I) the viewed properties all met our brief. Absolutely terrible rental experience. Zero awareness of basic tenancy law and their tenants’ wellbeing. Really wouldn’t recommend either letting Intercountry manage your property or renting a property managed by Intercounty. My sister has had fault after fault with ridiculous lead times waiting on the landlord to approve costs. No pressure from Intercounty to move the process along. No hot water, and some repairs taking over two months to address.

Throughout the sale process for our property they have been pro-active in communication and assumed ownership of the case, quickly answering any questions and ensuring all parties have been chased at appropriate times in order that a completion can be reached.
As a special mention I was most impressed when I called a few weeks ago and spoke with James, who to that point I'd not really spoken to. He didn't know the answer immediately to my query, but said he would chase and get back to me that day. Thinking the worst I was very surprised when James called me back within the hour having done what he said he would do.
Carol has also been very positive in making sure weekly updates have been delivered and again in chasing the relevant parties to ensure we could get to a suitable exchange and completion date.

The team were extremely helpful. Kept me in the loop at all times and updated on viewings and feedback. And if they said they would ring back , they did.
I had my house on with a different estate agent at first but Intercounty had more viewings in 6 weeks than the other estate agent had in 6 months.
The service was professional but friendly and personal.
I have no doubt in highly recommending them and have been telling my family and friends just how good they have been.

I have always know how stressful moving house could be but this was another level, however throughout the process Peter was brilliant and always at the end of the phone when I needed urgent advices and just to sound off in general. Peter went over and above what I expected of an Estate Agent taking calls at all different times of the day and I would certainly recommend Inter County and Peter to anyone looking to move in the Stansted area.
