Poor communication throughout process and had to remind about promised weekly updates.
Quoted marketing price was more than £100,000 OVER actual price achieved. Get the client to sign up with an exaggerated price, then say oops, sorry but the market says no!
Isn't it the job of a real estate agency to give an accurate market valuation, not an inflated one, just to get the listing?
Clear, written contractual instructions amended to suit the convenience of the agency.
Huge issue over eventual buyers' much higher offer NOT being put to us. We only secured the sale because they turned up at our door, asking why we'd turned down their higher offer - which we knew nothing of. Langford of course denied this version of events.
As a consequence we've received several requests from the original 'buyer' (no exchange of contracts) seeking compensation. Any compensation should be paid by Langford - but won't be.
It was a stressful, horrible process from beginning to end. Deeply regret deciding to engage Langford.
The only reason we've given 4 stars, is that zero is not an option.

Terrible communication. I enquired about a studio flat to let and was sent a form I was unable to complete. I emailed about this issue and was phoned to be told they would look into it and they didn’t. As a result the flat ended up being let without me being able to view. I sent a follow up email checking what had happened and as such have had no reply.

We had fantastic experience buying a house through Jamie at Langford Russell in Chislehurst. We had a large search area so registered with a lot of agents, and Jamie was by far the most proactive. He really took the time to properly understand what we wanted and made sure that we didn’t waste time viewing houses that didn’t tick all the boxes. He didn’t pass us off to colleagues in different branches like other agents did, which was a huge help. He kept us frequently informed throughout the whole process all the way up to completion, and also resolved a few issues that came up during the legal process. We’re hoping not to move house again but, if we did, we’d be instructing Jamie to sell our house without hesitation.

The initial appointment was with Steve Mullins, the selling fees quoted were slightly higher than other agents, but we were assured their attention to detail would justify the extra. In hindsight, I can say that they were worth every penny and more, having experienced some very poor estate agents in Chislehurst when viewing properties as a buyer. I can say that I was impressed from start to finish with Langford Russell Chislehurst. Jamie Muir managed the sale on a day-to-day basis they had a number of good viewings from the beginning we received detailed feedback on the buyers and their interest in the property. We were very lucky to meet Bradley Gilchrist to show us around the property and handle our case. He gave us one of our best viewing and property introductions so far, answering all sorts of questions and giving us plenty of instructions. Even after his part was done and got our offer accepted, he was always very responsive and friendly, answering emails and phone calls within minutes! He found answers to all of our questions and was very helpful in bridging us with the landlord.
All in all it was like speaking with a very good friend throughout the process. If we could rate 6 / 5 stars, we would, cause 5 stars are not enough for the level of service we got from him!

Madeleine Davenport was the person who sold my house, and she was faultless in her communication and management of the whole process from beginning to end. The communication of the the team as a whole was superb, but naturally I dealt with her on a day to day basis. She built a high level of trust and reassured me when solicitors were not communicating. She chased every enquiry relentlessly and always came back with the answers and solutions I needed at that time. I contacted Langford Russell for a rental property I’d seen, I was quickly contacted back by Darcie Lawrence, who was very keen to show me the property, unfortunately it wasn’t right. ...but Darcie worked continuously to find me a property, grabbing quick viewings where available. I don’t know if this is Langfords way of working or just Darcie, but whatever it is it’s commendable, I applaud you. A tenant was found but unfortunately circumstances prevented us proceeding at that time. Stacey was non judgmental and compassionate to the situation.

Mark Horak was an excellent adviser and helped me in all aspects of the house rental starting from the search process till I moved in & settled down. The best part was that he would keenly listen to the requirements and address each one of those in a quick manner.
