Very disappointed, first they overvalued the property and told me in a matter of a fortnight I needed to reduce the price which I did, I then heard nothing for almost 2 months . Went to a different agent who sold the property within a week. When I looked at their marketing it was so much better and more professional than Bowyers. I do not like leaving negative reviews, however this reflects my experience with them.... Read more

We are a buyer, we placed a bid in November on a property that had been up since October. We called this morning and a Mike answered. We proceeded to ask had the sellers position changed as it's still on the Market, we asked a few questions, given that it's still not sold, mentioned the pending Stamp Changes etc. Mike was insisting that the seller wasn't desperate to sell (despite not speaking to them again) when pushed for any further information he then ranted that it's his first day back, he wasn't prepared to get into an argument (my wife hadn't been rude or raised her voice just asked some questions). I then took the phone asked why he was being the way he was when all my wife was doing was asking questions and trying to establish if the sellers position had changed, he then said I was being an arse, and wasn't prepared to deal with us anymore. I told him to do his job properly. Literally 5 minutes later he called back to say the seller is going to reduce the price by £25k (but apparently not desperate to sell) Lazy, rude miserable man, if you're thinking of selling stay clear we used Chalk Street, they were brilliant, Informative, honest and actually work for you. If you're a buyer, don't hold your breath in trying to push the seller or dig to see if there is any room for negotiation, they just seem happy to have the property on the market and do nothing else.... This is an abysmal estate agent. Tried to make an appointment to view a property, the agents were extremely rude, did not book an appointment claiming the appointments were gone, asked to call back, left a message and no reply. Bad communication, having to chase up and others that had an appointment were slightly late, a woman from this agent was at the property but refused to let them view the house, even though they were there and she stood there talking instead of a normal person that would let them have a look around the property in that time. Extremely rude woman and this agent has a knack for employing rude, arrogant (for no reason) and miserable poor excuses for staff.... Read more

Need to improve with communication. Poor response times and having to chase up constantly, which was ironic as they were pretty persistent for my documents when our offer got accepted. House fell through after 6 months which admittedly is not down to them but never got the impression we were as important to them as the sellers. As a first time experience with an estate agent, we definitely did not enjoy the process as potential buyers.... Read more

Horrible experience. Horrible service. If you have 2 months to loose, go ahead. Otherwise, be smart and go elsewhere. They are extremely incompetent. The pictures that they take are all dull. We tried to sell our house with them, and all candidate buyers told that they've lost for at least 1 week to arrange a viewing despite we were doing viewings ourselves and we were always home. Mark is also extremely annoying and grumpy guy. I hope he retires soon so that he doesn't annoy other people.... Read more
