I’ve had a very disappointing experience with this renting agency. Throughout the process, I was contacted by four different people, all asking for the exact same information, which makes it feel like nobody communicates internally. Their replies were consistently slow, and the overall workflow came across as disorganized and unprofessional.
In my opinion, everything took far longer than it should have, and the lack of coordination made the process unnecessarily stressful. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this agency and would advise others to avoid it if possible.

Disappointed with our experience selling a family home in NW3 through Reuben at Marsh & Parsons. Despite the location and strong interest shown by other agencies, they only managed to arrange two viewings over a number of months raising concerns about their market access. Communication was poor after signing up — I constantly had to chase for updates and eventually escalate concerns. There were repeated excuses, but the reality was clear: weak strategy, limited market knowledge, minimal experience across the team and lack of proactivity.
On top of that, the few viewings were poorly handled — lights left on, muddy boot marks in the flat, and little care shown. Their strong recommendation to significantly lower the asking price felt misguided and reactive. We moved to another estate agent and happily secured a much higher offer within 2 weeks and completed shortly after. Would not recommend Reuben and Marsh & Parsons based on our experience.
Edited to add that I have been harassed with multiple calls and messages from Reuben to ask me to remove my post because “we do really value our google ratings.” Not because the above is not correct!

I don’t usually write reviews but almost 9 months after signing a lease with Marsh & Parsons, I feel I have to. My partner and I were rushed to sign a lease, and were asked to offer over the quoted 12 month contract to ensure we were successful. We added our terms to the contract, regarding work to be completed in the property before we moved in. We then signed the contract; 24 months with an 18 month break clause. This is a nice property £2,400 /month, we chose to spend more to have a nicer property, with things in working order, safe and sanitary. We expected Marsh & Parsons to fulfil their side of the contract, as it was approved and signed by the landlord. When we moved in the work was not done, a broken window, open fireplaces letting rain, wind and bird faeces into the kitchen/living room and bedroom. There are a number of other issues but these are the most urgent, yet we’re still here, May 2024 with a broken window in the bathroom and bird faeces, wind and rain coming down the chimney. We moved in just before winter, in October 2023, and as you can imagine, we have racked up huge heating bills paying to heat the house with an open chimney in the kitchen/ living room, open chimney in the bedroom and a broken window in the bathroom (it doesn’t shut). When telling Marsh & Parsons about the bathroom window their response was: “ In terms of the bathroom window, our contractors who have attended advised that they did inform you a very small amount of air was getting through the window frame, which will aid in the bathroom mould management. Therefore, the landlord has decided not to complete any remedials for this issue.”
When we have any issues with the house - broken windows, cabinets falling off walls, shower leaking into the hall downstairs, etc. Marsh & Parsons put the job out to a number of contractors. Each contractor then contacts us directly to arrange a visit to make a quote. We have already facilitated three viewings with different contractors for the chimney alone, and countless others regarding other works. This is hugely time consuming, inconvenient and unprofessional. Considering the work should have completed before we moved in and Marsh & Parsons should have a trusted contractor to provide services, I strongly advise people against signing a lease with them. They do not honour their contacts, they do not have a contractor they trust, you will have to facilitate and organise many different contractor visits on behalf of Marsh & Parsons and have to explain yourself and the property issues over, and over again.
In addition to the above, we notified Marsh & Parsons on May 14th (10 days ago) that we have noticed a leak from our shower going into the main building hallway below. This is the hallway used by all tenants, water pours from the ceiling when the shower is used and this has caused yellow staining and large wet marks on the ceiling. I can only assume this has caused some serious issues with the flooring and may impact the floor/ceiling integrity. We facilitated a meeting with one of Marsh & Parsons’ contractors to come and take a look, so he could get a quote. The work has now been booked for May 31st, another 8 days from now. This demonstrates the lack of urgency or care on their part.

Last time I rented anywhere was over a decade ago in Manchester, so I was a bit intimidated by the prospect of entering the cut-throat world of renting in London. Fortunately, it was Gyan that answered the phone, and we couldn’t be happier with the service he provided. Gyan took the time to find out exactly what was important to us and only sent us details of properties that were the right fit, which really helped as we were both working full-time and based in Manchester meaning time was at a premium. For obvious reasons which I can fully understand - probably better career opportunities or not fitting in the new Dexter culture - Charlotte decided to leave Marsh & Parsons ( still using the old brand name.
She left me in the poor hands of some colleague who is neither effective in her communications nor in getting the job done.
So far the Tenancy Agreement renewal amendment isn’t prepared, though the tenants paid the six months advance and the new tenant got his U.K. visa stamped on his passport.
I’m not even given a date when will the amendment be prepared as well as I’m not able to get hold of as she never answer her office number - I left her a message with a colleague to call me back - while she ignored to give me her mobile number.

I’m pleased to add that since this renewal case was handed Back to Eryk???? Stepniak - senior renewal negotiator - he digested the new ingredients of the case, bearing in mind that myself & one of the tenants are here in London before she leaves on August 24, while both the second existing tenant and the new moving in tenant, are miles away, if I can only mention the different time zones.
Eryk prepared all the documents, mostly to be signed electronically, only the deed which needed my signature to be counter signed at a Marsh & Parsons branch.
Looking forward for the tenants to move in and I promptly get paid the first six months rents minus the agreed renewal commission ( 6 months rent was paid to M&S July 24 )

This was the worst renting experience I've had after ten years in London, I cannot recommend them as a tenant. The flat wasn't properly cleaned when I got it, and after a lot of back and forth they reluctantly sent a cleaner over who made zero difference. It took three months to have the deposit released when I left, despite my multiple chases. Their clear priority was the landlord, I did not feel cared for at all.

I was a first time home seller and originally put my home up with purple bricks - WHAT A MISTAKE. I paid them money up front for nothing. After realising no one was following up on positive viewings, I decided to go back to market and Marsh and Parsons seemed like the best fit for us - lots of repeat clients, keen to sell and likeable people. Many of the agents came and viewed our flat so they knew what they were talking about when showing to potential buyers. As a buyer myself, there is nothing worse than someone showing you around a property they clearly don’t know. Rishi Singh deserves a particular shout out. Very likeable, approachable and seemed to do many of the viewings on our home. I was heavily pregnant at the start and then with a newborn by the end of the process. Having to keep the flat viewing ready and vacate for viewings was made much easier by Rishi keeping me up to date via text when I should head out for a walk and most importantly, when I could get back home. Extra work for him, but so appreciated by me. He also kept me in the loop with any feedback, which was so appreciated. Ultimately Rishi sold our home quickly and was available along the process to help answer any questions as a first time seller. Rubbish experience. No help whatsoever when moving in and trying to liaise with landlord in relation to removing furniture even though they told me the landlord agreed to remove his previous furniture. Spoiler alert he didn’t agree they lied.
No support whatsoever when the landlord tried to fraudulently claim half our deposit back. Got harassed by Marsh and Parsons at work numerous times and ended up going to the tenancy deposit scheme to collect our rightful deposit. Which we eventually won.
Hardly ever respond to tenants.

Amy has given us a first class service during very extreme complications when a leading furniture store simply could not get the order right. She juggled furniture delivery (and non-delivery), wrong furniture items missing parts during the assembly process, re-delivery of the correct parts, second attempt at assembly service and removal of the faulty furniture.

Had to pop into this branch today and was met with a rude and sarcastic receptionist who oddly didn’t seem to know the properties the branch were managing or the colleagues she worked with. Having been rude for a few minutes a more helpful member of the back office staff stepped in to lend a hand. Last year I worked with in excess of 500 landlords selling property in the Camden Town area and this year I will advise each I encounter of the poor standard of service I received. Receptionist was on desk at 5pm.

We were very disappointed by the service and by the length of the process and would not recommend working with them. We started looking for a flat with M&P in mid August and by beginning of October there was still no sign of a good property that suited us. Although M&P called me roughly 50 times on my personal phone and showed me between 5 and 10 properties, there was always an issue either with the landlord or with the move in date or with the room sizes. Additionally they withdrew a holding deposit from my personal account without my consent and were unwilling to reimburse me after they realised we were looking to rent a property with another agency.

We interviewed several letting agents when deciding who to use to rent our our flat. James made our choice very easy when he anticipated our concerns before we shared them with him, as well as appreciating the details of our flat which we felt made it special. James and his team have worked out the magic of how to be warm and friendly while also demonstrating an exceptional level of competence and professionalism. We had agents from several offices come by, and each of them were really top notch. M&P are expensive and the way the company takes its fees out in rapid succession was quite a hard pill to swallow. But I would still recommend them above other letting agents. The tenants they found us are really lovely, and that feeling of security knowing you've got good people in your flat is worth the extra expense.

Will Owen is a class act. Friendly person and doesn't ask you to look at properties you're clearly not going to be interested in, which is a frustration amongst other agents. He takes the time to understand exactly what you're looking for and does his due diligence on available properties, only showing us the ones that fit our mould. Every house Will has shown us has been great, and whilst we've missed-out on a few, we continue to use Will for our search.

When I was looking to sell my 2 bedroom flat in Camden in September 2015, my former next door neighbour recommended Enna-Mae Assiter at Marsh & Parsons on Parkway to me, as he had nothing but praise for them after they had successfully sold his flat for higher than expected within a period of just 3 weeks a month before. I rang around a number of the local estate agents and got quotes, including from Marsh & Parsons, but decided to go with Portico, also on Parkway, as they said all the same things Marsh & Parsons had told me but were considerably cheaper and therefore better value (or so I thought). After 12 weeks of marketing through the autumn of 2015, Portico had not managed to generate any serious interest at all in my very well-kept, 2 bedroom flat in Camden Square (a sought-after address), they had repeatedly failed to amend errors in their online marketing details despite numerous requests from me, and needed to be chased for any information at all as regards viewings. I had to rely on information from my tenants about progress on the sale, as Portico rarely bothered to contact me. Overall Portico made the marketing of the flat a very stressful experience, and not a very successful one. Luckily, I finally remembered that Enna-Mae Assister at Marsh & Parsons had been recommended to me in glowing terms, and so I gave her a call when I still had 3 weeks left to run on my 3 month contract with Portico and she devised a plan of action for after my contract with Portico had expired (in order to stay on the right side of the law).
My experience with the more expensive Marsh & Parsons couldn’t have been better and proves that, when it comes to Camden estate agents, you really do get what you pay for. Marsh & Parsons were worth every penny. They were efficient and proactive and put everything in place, ready to go live with the marketing the day after my contract with the useless Portico expired. The same day that Marsh & Parsons went live with the marketing of my flat they managed to get an offer, and then more interest within the first week than Portico had generated in 3 months. The interest they generated and the offers they attracted were beyond my expectations and I finally accepted an offer at a level I never dreamed the flat would achieve. Marsh & Parsons kept me up to date and informed throughout the process, provided advice and guidance when I was unsure, the voice of reason when the purchasers seemed to be delaying, all the while working hard in the background to push the transaction through before the deadline of 31 March 2016 after which Stamp Duty increased. I had used solicitors recommended by estate agents in the past and vowed I would never again, having had the most appalling service elsewhere, but against my better judgement went with Sykes Anderson Perry, recommended by Marsh & Parsons, and found them to be everything Enna-Mae promised and more.
My experience with Marsh & Parsons in Camden has been first class in every respect and from every member of staff I have dealt with. They are knowledgeable, professional, personable and proactive with excellent local market intelligence and access to a fantastic network of potential purchasers. In addition, they provided me with sensible advice, as I believe a good estate agent should, rather than just acting as an information conduit.
I would urge anyone looking to sell a property in Camden to try Marsh & Parsons, despite the competition sometimes offering more attractive fee rates. Opting for the cheap option is not worth the risk, as I found to my cost, and you won’t be disappointed with Marsh & Parsons. In my opinion they are the best by far. A huge thanks to Enna-Mae and all at Marsh & Parsons.

Enna-Mae and her outstanding team have been excellent at negotiating the sale of my Camden flat. Enna-Mae's initial estimate was accurate and realistic. Her advice throughout was impeccable. In dealing with me, with solicitors and with potential purchasers she was extremely well informed, calm and diplomatic. With great efficiency she enabled both me and the final purchaser successfully to navigate the occasionally troubled waters of a sale with remarkable skill, good sense, humour and charm In short, we couldn't have managed without her.

I would definitely recommend Marsh & Parsons Camden, especially the lovely May Prior who is very helpful and polite. She's indeed friendly and patient yet works with the utmost professionalism as expected. The property is what it is and May honestly gives me advices on all the pros and cons to consider why try her best to match me with a suitable property. Above all I really appreciate her polite reminding texts and emails, rather than some agents who are bombing me with calls everyday. I would definitely keep M&P for future transactions.

May Prior was fantastic throughout our property search. She was one of the few agents we dealt with in London that was responsive to our request of having one point of contact, while other agents from different companies often called all four of us several times a day. She was both friendly and on the ball in terms of initiating contact with us and viewings always went smoothly in terms of May fitting in with our timings! Would definitely recommend Marsh and Parson's Camden.

May Prior at the Marsh and Parsons in Camden is the most wonderful estate agent I have ever come to meet. As most of us know, searching for a new flat is like a bad trip to the dentist. However, May made it enjoyable. She always met me with a smile, she even remembered details about my life that just came up in conversation such as "so how did your Developmental Psychology exam go?" I know this may be random to mention, but she always drove safely and made sure not to hit anyone crossing the road, unlike other agents. I do not usually write google reviews unless I feel very strongly about the subject. If you would like proof, you can look up my seething review on Leonard Leese (the worst of the worst). However, this review is on the opposite side of the spectrum. May Prior is hands down one of a kind, and is a shining example of what an estate agent should be.

The sale of my flat in London was handled very efficiently and professionally by Enna-Mae and her team at Marsh and Parsons in Camden. I could have never anticipated how stressful the whole process could be with a multitude of unforeseen problems along the way. It was the professionalism of the Marsh and Parsons team that kept us sane and I can not recommend them enough.
If I may give one bit of advice from my experience choose the right estate agents and legal team if you want your transaction to complete successfully.

Very smooth experience with M&P, thanks to Daniel E who helped make sure everything went according to plan and quickly. Was initially kind of intimidating by the renting experience but Daniel helped to make it painless and reassured me at every turn. He also helped me reach out to the former tenants to help make my transition into my new flat more comfortable. Would keep M&P in mind for future transactions!
