Avoid at all costs. The properties are not inspected before new tennents move in, we moved into the house over a month ago now 14th May 24 and it has been confirmed by Faye when we visited the office the other week that it was last inspected August 23. There was damp in the spare bedroom which we were told would be sorted asap it took a month to arrange this to be addressed, when we moved in we found damp and fluffy mould in the kitchen which we reported and is still outstanding and a number of other repairs which have been outstanding since before we moved into the property which the agents and the landlord don't seem to have any intention of dealing with and have simply been removed from the outstanding repairs on our account - the damp in the spare roon being the only one that anything is finally being done about. It takes days for them to respond to emails and furthermore I sent a formal complaint about this to the assistant manager Caitlin over a month ago now - the complaints procedure states that you should get an acknowledgement within 3 working days, I sent this 24/5/24 it is now 27/6/24 and I have had no response to date. Do not rent with Martin & Co all you will get is stress and I will continue to let everyone I know know that this is the sort of experience they can expect if they do.

???? I can not fault how Great the team at Martin & Co have been. I’ve rented with agencies before and it’s been very stressful and lots of paperwork. Nothing like that here! Amazing service from first viewing to getting the Keys to our beautiful new rental home.

Me and my husband been calling Blackpool office for a few days to arrange a house viewing on Ramsey Avenue. My husband even made online enquiry and left his mobile no. We keep on calling the office more than a few times but no one pick up the call. That’s shocking and made us wonder how do they sell the house without picking up the call and arranging the viewing with potential buyers.

Do not go with this letting agent, absolute shocking. I have mould and damp all over my bathroom and bedroom. Can't even wash as shower is unusable, got paint falling of walls in kitchen. They don't do anything apart from sit in office twiddling there thumbs. Stay away from these at all costs. Put a review on before about them got asked by staff to take it of. Not this time.

Really disappointed maybe because I'm on benefits they dont respond to emails or messages paid a holding deposit, waiting for reference checks to come through. The day after the come they put the property back on the market. Homelet tell me I've got a provisional moving date of September 22nd, yet cannot contact martin & co. I dont think they even look at emails or they just put into bin. Once they have taken the deposit they dont care. The customer service is not good. If a customet has lost out on a house or the reference checks are not accepted then shouldn't you contact the person in question. I've worked in customer service in the past and this is not how you treat people. Going to update because I recall something that happened. I received a phone call from this place and it was from the boss who acted like it was a mistake phone call. Only found out when I googled the number back. Like I said rip off company staff are only interested with taking your money and afterwards no customer service at all. The member of staff I was dealing with at the time left the job and was working somewhere else according to her email to me. Do not rent from these people con artists. I never got my money back or ever a phone call or email back after me trying to speak to someone. Everytime i was told nobody in office or I would get a call back. It lived over an hour away at the time so it wasn’t a case of I could pop into the office when I could.

Moved into this property with my partner to find it was a complete and utter state. When I viewed the property over 1 month prior to moving in, they said that they would clean the black mould from the bathroom which was fine. What a shock when we moved in to find the black mould was still there and the entire flat was a mess and hadn't been cleaned at all. My partner had to take 2 days off work because of stress and physical exhaustion from all the cleaning.
There was no sense of urgency from their side when we called to stress how bad the flat was. They've still not resolved the issue and we have been in the flat for almost 1 week now. We continuously have to wear a face mask when we use the bathroom. It just makes me wonder how they can run a business like this and don't seem care at all. The bottom line is that the flat should have been cleaned and checked over before they handed over the keys, it's not rocket science.

Martin and Co terminated my contract and left me in a complete mess because I had a dispute with the secretary about information I needed about my council payments. To ad insult to injury, I live abroad so it’s even more difficult to manage my property. Even though this company haven’t represented me for the last month they are continuing to deduct their management fees from a payment that was made to them by the council but belongs to me. They are refusing to return the money and their staff have been rude and patronizing. Also the tradesmen they sent round to do the repairs were overpriced and completely incompetent.I strongly recommend that avoid this company at all costs. I would never use them again and will continue to warn people about them at every given opportunity.

I am most impressed at how quickly new tenants were found for my property. It would appear that all the checks were done quickly and thoroughly and communicated to me. Only one slight complaint - I wish Megan had informed me when she was coming to take photos of the property as on both occasions - once when the tenants were moving their belongings out and another when I was in the middle of cleaning - it wasn't the best time and had I known I could have been more prepared. However, at the end of the day it didn't seem to affect the letting procedure. On the whole I was very impressed with Megan's professionalism and any queries and concerns were addressed promptly. Overall I am happy with the service provided by Martin's.

After trying to get through on the phone, leaving voicemails, and sending 5+ emails, I wasn't getting a response, so I decided to call into the office.
The gentleman who was sat in the main desk opposite the front door, whom I'm presuming was the director, as he was wearing a smart three piece suite made me feel extremely uncomfortable. His first suggestion was for me to "Get rid" of my dog, as there weren't many properties showing up which hit my price bracket, followed by "Can't you just get help from Mum and Dad?" for which I don't have either, but thanks for asking.
I'd steer clear of this one ladies and gents, that is unless you have zero compassion for your animals well-being or happen to enjoy being made to feel worthless.

Contacted them regarding the property next door to us which has had refurbishment done on it and is now advertising for tenants. The trades that have done the refurbishment ha e dumped all the rubbish in the garden which is a proper eyesore and filled 2 black bins with rubble and the bins have split and the bin men can't empty them because of the weight. I have rang Martin and co and had no reply . They are coming across as very unprofessional.

After months and months of searching I happened to apply for a property from Martin & co. 2 days later the details had been sorted and here I am a week later living in my new flat! Mohammed was just so incredibly helpful in sorting everything out and I could not thank him enough for what he's done for me, such a nice man and such a brilliant company.

When i needed to move home I got in touch with martin & co fylde coast. The man who helped me was called Mohammed Ahmed, and he helped me every step of the way. everything including refences, the application and even moving in to the property was done quickly. Mohammed was extremely kind and supportive through the whole application and helped me find a perfect home. He is a great professional and his kindness is perfect for customer service. Extremely unprofessional letting agents.
They've written up faulty documents, forged signatures, claim I'm in arrears when I'm not and the service from Usman Gulab is atrocious. He shouts at you down the phone and belittles you and says he doesnt have to listen to me. When we first moved in the key snapped in the door and he refused to come down and give us a spare key in the middle of winter and was prepared to leave us on the street for a night with our children. Repairs were never seen to, we had to pay £108 for a locksmith to come out to which we havent recieved the money back for it.
All I can say is thank god we moved house.

We have just finished a 12week contract with Martins Estate Agents Thornton-Cleveleys now moved to Blackpool 10 miles away .This was to sell our 4bedroom house and put our name forward to purchase a new bungalow they were marketing.The valuation agreed with David Rothwell the manger was 250k .He promised to do various things to help sell the property including a video this never happened,He also, promised a review after 6 Weeks this never happened after 7 + I went to the office and spoken to David who really was not upto speed with what was happening,he asked a colleague Richard who and what was happening anyway eventually they said they would chase up some of the showings that had happened at this time there was about 8 viewings .Another 4Weeks passed and by chance on a Friday evening I passed there office to find they had gone ,papers on floor no pictures of my or any properties in window .Next day I phone there number no reply So I phone 2 branches to find they have moved to Blackpool ,in the mean time I have had a letter through my door from people saying they have been trying to view my property for a week and could I contact them .I can not believe the poor service from this company ,I would not mind but I offered an insensitive above there top rate to sell the property so we could buy one of there bungalows .Use this firm at your peril

Been very disappointed with the level of service I have received from Martin & Co. I have to call every month to chase payments from my tenants. They are now in arrears and despite promises that they will keep me updated, they never do and only ever respond belatedly to repeated requests for information. I never speak to the same person and get passed from one to another with no answers. Hamza, the director, appears too busy to talk to anyone. They only appear to be interested in landlords with multiple properties. Very disappointing.

Absolutely atrocious, asked 2 weeks ago about a property was told no pets so Didn’t take it any further, on the Wednesday just gone I got a random call off a Samantha at the Blackpool Martin and co to say that the landlord will accept pets now and to go view the property, so we viewed it on Thursday, we absolutely loved the property and we said we will definitely take it and was ready to pay everything there and then, the lady that showed us around said they just need the written permission off the landlord which we completely understand and we can then move in, I then went onto emailing them yesterday as we didn’t hear anything and still didn’t hear anything so I decided to take the phone number off there website this morning to give them a call and that is when I found that the property said “let agreed” .... I phoned them just now to get told they have took another application just yesterday without a dog ???? why show us if there was never an intention to take dogs and build hopes up, we missed out on another property. Thankyou Samantha for nothing I’ll make sure to leave reviews on all social media accounts and all other places to make sure everyone knows how you treat people and current tenants....

Had a lovely welcome from Naomi L and she was fantastic all the way through our move, she could not do enough for us every time we rang she was very professional and answered all our questions. Sam who showed us the property was fabulous and very professional, the property she found was perfect and ticked all the boxes we requested we really could not have asked for more. The service we got from Sam and Naomi L was fantastic and we will be recommending Martin & Co Blackpool to everyone.

Linda Wilson at Martin and Co has been absolutely amazing! Cannot thank her enough for all she has done following the sale to appropriately chase the buyers solicitors and keep us informed so that things meet our non-negotiable timescales. She is one of those fantastic people who always returns calls, who always does what she says she will without having to be chased, is proactive and has made sure that everything goes much better than it would have done otherwise! She has been an absolute star! Can highly recommend Linda, you won't be disappointed!

Useless company. Had issues getting documents signed and blamed us. Waiting for roof repair for over 4 weeks now! Water in master bedroom every time it rains, do they care? No.

Absolutely disgusting. My mum's boiler broke and she asked martin and co to do something about it. The next day when the plumber was supposed to come around 12 and he didn't. We called him and he said that martin and co called him and cancelled the appointment. They didn't inform us about that. We called martin and co again and they said that the landlord wanted it that way and that the new plumber will come maybe tomorrow. MAYBE! It is winter time and my mum is freezing in her own house because of some crap excueses. They have no recpect to their clients.

I had been with my previous Letting agents for some time and my property was vacant for 6 weeks without a tenant. I Switched to Martin and co and thanks to the professional help of Hamza who took control of the whole process we had a suitable tenant within a week.

Extremely pleased with Martin & Co Blackpool's service, efficiency and professionalism. They managed to to rent my property within a week when established agents had struggled for over 2 months. I receive regular updates and have not had any issues so far thus I've transferred my portfolio to Martin & Co and as expected they are now rented.
