I had a solid experience with Patrick Gardner, Ashtead. The sale required careful coordination between the buyer’s solicitor and the buyer’s broker, and the team managed that very well.
Communications were clear and timely, explanations were straightforward, and when issues arose they worked hard to make sure everyone was kept updated, and the sale reached completion.
Overall, a dependable, no?nonsense team—worth considering if you want agents who stay organised, explain the situation clearly, and see a sale through competently.

Buying and selling a house is hard work, when you have a chain of 7 people that work is massively insreased, as are the stress levels. Sarah, Michelle and the team at Patrick Gardner took all of this on thier shoulders and offered us kind of service you only dream of. Without efficient, friendly and professional staff, estate agents would struggle to compete in the business of arranging the sale and purchase of property.
It would be unfair to single out a particular staff member of the Ashtead Patrick Gardner Sales Team for praise. Sufficient to say every member of the Team covered all the important items above. Especially as our sale took place at a difficult time at the end of March 2025 when tax issues complicated purchases and sales business.

Do not trust these agents, very misleading bunch. Was hesitant to put an offer on a property due to seller concerns and being gazumped, but the estate agent assured me this wouldn't happen as they knew their seller. After being lured into the offer and having it accepted, the property taken off the market, paying for solicitors and spending alot of time processing documents the agents took another offer in and ultimately gazumped us.
Will never deal directly with this office again.

All viewings were conducted by the Patrick Gardner team in liaison with us. The transaction chain wasn't very large but it became complicated; by contacting all the legal teams involved, Shelley kept everyone informed each week about status and progress (or lack of it) so that people stayed on-side throughout until exchange of contracts could take place. The staff at Patrick Gardner in Ashtead provided authentic real life contact.
If I felt anxious or socialable: I could just pop in and see them in their office on the high street at any time. If I was in a hurry: I could phone them. if I felt I needed a bit of space: I could just email them. I always received a prompt favourable useful reply. The staff always knew how to answer our questions or how to expertly reassure us.
They worked very hard too: both my husband and I work full time so they did all the viewings for us: we always got plenty of warning if they were coming, they always came on time and they always gave us feed back. Even in the long dark winter months: we had regular viewings and we are so grateful for all the work Shelley, Lorraine, Sarah, Frank, Michelle put in and for producing genuine results and then helping us negociate the process of accepting the best offer and then selling the house.
We exchange on Friday and I have to say it has been a kaleidoscope of tasks and emotions but Patrick Gardner always provided value, made the whole thing dignified and alleviated a lot of the stress and they have delivered the results: they got the balance right considering the complexity of property prices this year!

Patrick Gardner were 1 of 3 agents who valued our property and they suggested the highest price which always makes me nervous. They were £25k more than the next agent but they were RIGHT and indeed we achieved in excess of their valuation.
They are highly responsive, always offered sensible advice and I always felt that they supported us as the seller.

Patrick Gardner give estate agents a GOOD name!
A number of my friends spoke very highly of Patrick Gardner. I knew the company had sold numerous properties near my house so it seemed a logical choice. My first contact with PG was Sarah who is incredibly competent and professional. Sarah gave me advice and suggestions which either had not occurred to me or differed from what I thought was the right path. She was always absolutely correct. When the house went on the market, the brilliant PG team arranged everything continuously keeping me updated as to progress which happened remarkably quickly. The PG team did not hang around! When the house was sold STC, the process was taken over by the unbelievably resilient Julie who chivvied, cajoled and encouraged all parties involved to 'make it happen'. She has the patience of saint.
It was a pleasure to do business with them and they certainly earned every penny of their fee. I never realised just how much work is required. It's not just a case of selling the house; that is just the beginning.
I have absolutely nothing but praise for the team at Patrick Gardner in Ashtead and Leatherhead. I have made special mention of Sarah and Julie because I spoke to them the most; but that is not to diminish the input of everybody else involved. They are all professional, friendly, courteous and knowledgeable.

Patrick Gardner Ashtead have been totally brilliant with our recent purchase! Being new to buying a property meant we had lots of questions which everyone at PG was always on hand to answer (even if they were probably very stupid questions).
Massive thanks in particular to Sarah and Michelle who took the time to show us round lots of properties until we were happy and for their support the whole way through. Also to Douglas (Dougie) who spent time with me on the phone and deciding if our renovation project was the right thing for us and giving useful tips along the way.
Finally To Julie, who from an after offer perspective looked after us brilliantly. This is one aspect of what made the service so great from PG as we reguarly received updates from Julie about where we were in relation to the purchase and at times what we were waiting for. Equally Julie was also there to guide us in terms of what would happen next and answer any questions we had about the process.
Buying/selling a property can be stressful, but PG truly made the experience much more enjoyable and I really feel all individuals at PG went the extra mile to help out.

The long and protracted conveyancing process was made easier by Michelle who professionally excelled in her support,provision of factual information and maintaining contact with ourselves which helped to reduce the stress of the process. Bought my current house through Patrick Gardner, they were professional and friendly, turned up on time for viewings and stayed out of the way whilst we looked around. They only forwarded details of properties that actually matched what we were looking for ( the other agents sent through literally anything with no regard ). At the end of the process they helped with communication with the vendor and their solicitor - if we move in the area we will definitely use them again
