We have just enjoyed our first Christmas and New Year in our lovely new home in Hove, thanks to Symon and the the team at Pearson Keehan! Everyone we met from Pearson Keehan was so friendly...genuinely so...and helpful, from early on in our journey when we met Kevin for a second property viewing to later, after a stressful time in which the first property we made an offer on via different estate fell through, we had to arrange viewing more properties with Marcie and Symon and luckily we then found what finally turned out to be our new home through Pearson Keehan! Once we'd made our successful offer on this one, Symon was great at keeping everything moving, calling every week with updates and emailing back with information. He even helped out by speaking with our own estate agent dealing with the sale of our old home who caused some issues with his poor communications and seemingly lack of understanding of the process!
We are so glad we found our new home through Pearson Keehan in the end and can highly recommend doing the same, if you can find a property that suits you through them! Thanks again Kevin, Marcie, and Symon! :-)
P.S. The estate agent for the first property we made an offer on was Sawyer & Co - this review is not about them but avoid if you can as you may end up with the misfortune of having to deal with Chris Sawyer, who was pushy, unhelpful, untrustworthy, and of no understanding whatsoever when it came to the seller withdrawing after we paid for a full survey but then wanted to follow up on some issues it raised - you can hopefully draw your own conclusions from that!

Slightly unusual post as we didn’t actually buy through them but our experience, particularly with Symon Pettifer-Back was/is worthy of mention .
Symon and his team’s attitude from first phone call is always” we can help”. They are informative, punctual, knowledgeable but give you space to view properties without the hard sell.
Sadly our offer was topped by a whopping amount. Symon continued to keep us in the loop and aware of any possible properties coming his way. In fact we found what we needed through a competitor but would have dearly loved to buy through PK
In essence if you want a great team to sell your property or you are looking for a new home in Hove or Brighton you won’t do better than Pearson Keehan

I worked with Amy Newman on the sale of my house in Shirley Drive. She gave us an excellent service from a considered and thoughtful valuation with an ‘off market launch’ period as we were in the run up to Christmas in which she could really test the market and price with known buyers. When we launched the house, after an open day we had three offers and accepted one. Unfortunately late in the process our buyer pulled out due to a change in circumstances. Amy kept our spirits up, took immediate action and after a flurry of new viewings had another chain free offer at full asking price. Amy was great and I couldn’t fault her approach.
As a bonus she was always on hand to offer advice about houses that we were wishing to purchase, even if these were not through Pearson Keehan.
I would really recommend Amy if you’re looking to buy or sell.

The team has done a great job in helping my family in the recent property purchase process which had multiple challenges. Overall the service was exceptional as several rounds of viewing were needed to confirm various things and Kevin, Marcie and Chris were able to help in a timely manner. This estate agent really stands out in the market for demonstrating a proactive attitude to follow up on outstanding queries even during non working days, thereby enabling information to be communicated effectively. A lot of estate agents don't bother chasing or often tend to be one-sided, either backing the vendor or buyer only and letting their personal opinion get in the way, leading to failed transaction due to poor communication with either or both parties feeling sour. I felt Kevin was able to stay neutral and assist in the best interest of both parties, which I greatly appreciated as the buyer. This is refreshing in the market after having dealt with other estate agents who often ended up taking side of one particular party when the goal of a property transaction is really to ensure both parties are satisfied and any potential issues are resolved. The communication and service were delivered, the team is clearly able to put themselves in the shoes of the vendor/buyer. I also appreciate the gifts given by Kevin upon the key collection day - again this is very thoughtful and kind of the team to know any new buyer would appreciate best wishes for a new property purchase. Highly recommended!

I would not hesitate in recommending Pearson Keehan, they have been exceptional to deal with. I both sold and bought through them. When I had estate agents out to value the flat I was selling I found the whole thing quite overwhelming as we all know the sales pitch from them can be quite 'aggressive'. However, Kevin was a breath of fresh air. He was the only one that didn't criticise the other estate agents, he focussed on what he could do for me and that's what sold them to me. As I was selling and buying through PK, they also did an excellent job of managing the chain which included some very tricky clients. My first experience with them was when I viewed a property and my first impression was, that unlike many estate agents I have had contact with in the past, Kevin was approachable, warm and friendly as well as polite and respectful which made me feel very at ease. He was easy to talk to and came across as very genuine which was very refreshing. This encounter led me to the decision to use Pearson Keehan when it came to putting our flat on the market and it was the best decision I could have made. Throughout the process, Kevin was very efficient and had an air of calm collectedness which made what is a very stressful life event as hassle-free as possible. We were very happy with the quality of the photos and brochure produced. Aaron the photographer was very passionate and positive on his visit and the end result was exactly what we hoped for. We felt our flat, which my partner had renovated himself, was showcased to really shine and it did our hard work justice. Kevin was very thoughtful about our situation when it came to viewings. We had an open day rather than lots of individual viewings which made life a lot easier as we have a young child. We were extremely happy with the outcome of this, getting well above the asking price and I was impressed by his excellent communication, and his fair and respectful approach when it came to managing multiple offers. Kevin remained in regular contact right until completion and beyond and we received a lovely card and new home gift box of goodies which was an unexpected and thoughtful nice touch. I have dealt with Tom throughout my move to a ground floor apartment in Hove. He has been prompt with communications, very personable and patient. Tom has made the process of moving to a new area that much easier with his professionalism and ability to communicate smoothly. Since being in the property I have had one service issue that was dealt with quickly and efficiently. If you're looking for an agent that provides quality services I'd say Pearson Keehan are one of the best I've encountered.

I highly recommend using the services of Pearson Keehan. They were excellent from start to finish on the recent sale of my garden flat in Hove. From setting the correct price and finding a buyer on the first day to being there right to the end at a stressful completion. It wasn’t the easiest or shortest of transactions due to all sorts of solicitor problems but Kevin was there as the go between the whole way through. He liaised with all parties and became my font of all knowledge when it came to knowing what was happening in the process when I couldn’t get sense out of anyone else. He definitely went above and beyond what was expected and the communication was excellent including a good sense of humour when it was needed!
