Tracey has always been extremely responsive, hands-on, and professional. She is friendly, reliable and always prompt in replying to any queries or concerns I have. Since Tracey took over the management of our property, I have never had any issues — everything has been handled efficiently and with care.
Our usual inspector now is Ceri Jackson, who has also been amazing. She is thorough, approachable and makes us feel well looked after during inspections. The experience with both Tracey and Ceri has been consistently positive and reassuring. thank you for looking after us.

Sawyer&Co are a great letting agent with lovely staff, they all work very hard in helping you and giving the best they can, when you need it. my property manager Jess Fowler is one of the best i have had as a landlord, she is excellant, she carrys out her job in a very competent and professional manner, you never have to ask her twice or chase her for anything, she knows her job and is at the top of what she is doing, she has never let me down in anyway at all and is always there and everything is done, like a magic fairy. I could not ask for better.

We have had our Panorama Unit 5 rental managed by Sawyer for the ten years since we acquired it. We have the full management option (which includes rent collection and all maintenance management, plus securing and handling tenants).
In that time, we have found that all aspects have been handled in a fully professional manner. Tenant liaison is very good, liaison between us and the property manager is excellent, monthly rent payments are handled efficiently, and clear invoices, showing all transactions, are issued promptly. On the occasions when tenant changes have had to be made, we have found that the process has been handled to a high professional standard. The Sawyer property inspection regime is a strong element of their work.

My experience as a landlord has been that the staff at Sawyers work hard to make my life as easy as possible by staying on top of everything that needs to be done and that they also do their best to make sure that when repairs or maintenance are needed they're done quickly, to minimize inconvenience to the tenants. The Marketing Department produced a fantastic brochure to market the flat when it became vacant and there's never been more than a few weeks between tenancies.

We had the misfortune of using Sawyer & Co in Brighton to sell our property, and it has been nothing short of a nightmare. When we first approached them, they promised us they were the best, that they would handle everything, and that the process would be smooth. In reality, it was the complete opposite.
It took them months to find a buyer, and once they finally did, we were constantly misled about the timeline. They assured us completion was imminent, only for it to drag on for another four months. Throughout this time, communication was appalling – emails often went unanswered, and when they did respond, they were dismissive, unprofessional, and at times outright rude.
To make matters worse, Sawyer & Co held the only key to the property, and the day before the supposed completion, they suddenly demanded I get work done on the house. I was forced to pay to have this done within 24 hours, only to then discover that the completion had been delayed yet again.
A particularly unpleasant experience was dealing with Bob, who was often rude, unhelpful, and clearly more interested in getting paid than in providing any real service. The promises made at the start were completely abandoned once they had our business.
Overall, this has been a disgraceful experience from start to finish. If you are thinking of selling your property, I strongly recommend avoiding Sawyer & Co – save yourself the stress, wasted time, and frustration.

From the time I walked into the office of Sawyers in Hove and met Esme who showed me around my current rental property I felt totally at ease . She explained everything in detail including all costing and secured the rental for me .
From then on in everything has run smoothly and annually I’ve been able to carry on without any stress to continue the rental.
I have been looked after by the management team and would like to mention Ceri who has always managed to fall in with my somewhat busy work life when inspections are due .
Any problems which are very few and far between have been solved immediately in-fact I have never experienced such an incredibly efficient team making me feel very secure .
I have never had this attention with any other agency .Finally I have recently been working with Lizzy to secure and negotiate the next years rent for me .
Everything has been agreed and all paperwork, signed , gas safe engineers have attended my property and all certificates have been sent to me online .

I have just come out the other side of a very complicated and drawn out sale / purchase. Due to some tediously slow, archaic conveyancing, several miscommunications, and due to the fact it was a probate purchase with many beneficiaries involved - it created the perfect storm for further stress and extra legwork in order to see this one through. Along the way, Lucy Cratchley of Sawyer and Co was in my corner every step of the way, and we worked very effectively together to nudge and reassure other stakeholders. She is great at communicating and very supportive, and judging by other reviews on here has clearly delivered the same excellent customer service to other clients. Sawyer & Co managed my rental property for many years, specifically Tracey who was always so responsive and knowledgeable that I always felt in the best hands, and had complete faith in everything she advised us. We then sold the property through Kieran who always seemed very motivated to achieve a sale even during more challenging times! Then once Kieran had achieved the sale, he handed me over to Lucy who updated me on progress every week regarding the buyer, their solicitor, my solicitor, etc which is a real nice touch because a sale can take quite a long time so you always wonder what's going on, whereas thanks to Lucy's personable informative updates, I had complete peace of mind. Sawyers we're really easy to deal with from the start. Once the offer was accepted I was put in touch with Lucy Cratchley who oversaw the selling process.
Lucy kept me up to date with the sale and gave me so much information, I felt like I had nothing to be concerned about during the sale process.
Without Lucy's help and information I would have had to contact my solicitor for any updates.
However, Lucy gave me all the updates I needed. Lucy made me feel so relaxed at a time which can often be a very stressful process..

Lucy Cratchley acted as the sales progressor in the sale of a 10th floor penthouse apartment that we inherited when our uncle passed away in 2022. The sale was delayed initially due to probate and requiring a lease extension and complicated further as it then took place during the period when the new Building Safety Regulations were being introduced following Grenfell, the requirements of which were still not clearly understood by the solicitors involved in the conveyancing process let alone Estate Agencies. Lucy was very proactive in dealing with prospective buyer's solicitors, our own solicitors and in seeking to understand all the legal requirements of the new Act so as to keep the sale on-track and constantly kept us appraised of progress, issues to be resolved, potential solutions, etc. Left to the solicitors undertaking the conveyancing process, the sale would not have been completed as efficiently, certainly not within the same timescales and potentially, might not even have progressed to completion at all. Sorry for the long review but I feel if I keep it short I wont say enoughbutif I write more it's too long, here goes.
We are not actually customers of Sawyer & Co which makes the service we received all the more remarkable.
We were chain free buying a house which was empty, chain free and had gone through probate. It should have been the simplest kind of purchase. We made a mistake by going with an online solicitor in Birmingham who was monumentally inefficient and rude, and sloppy even by normal solicitor standards.
We were assured a completion date of mid august. We extended the lease on our flat and booked removals based on this advice. 3 weeks of that time were wasted by our solicitor childishly arguing with the other side because he “didn't like the way they were speaking to him.” We found this out retrospectively when begging him for an update didn't work and we had to resort to writing in all caps, underlined with the multiple exclamation marks. Thinking it was some kind of “own” against the other other side the buffoon forwarded the message thread he'd had with the other side which showed that he'd wasted 3 weeks of our extension on completely childish nonsense. He was the Head of Conveyancing by the way.
I won't say any more about him but just trust I could write pages about him, and I have the receipts for all his mistakes. If the purchase had fallen through we would have complained to the CLC (Council for Licensed Conveyancers).
That was our side.
The seller had their own reasons for being disinterested in the sale. And for privacy I wont say any more than that. We have since learned the reasons and completely understand but at the time all we knew was that the seller was very hard to reach. So much so that they only wanted to be contacted by email and would take days to respond to the simplest of questions.
Instead of moving into the house we had our hearts set on in mid august we put everything we had in storage and were technically homeless, living out of suitcases in Air B&B's (not cheap) and with friends. We still had no idea if the sale was even going to happen!
The shining light in this was Lucy! Even though we weren't her customers she gave us first class treatment and service. Her hands were tied with with her client ghosting her and when we couldn't get an update from our solicitor while we had been living out of suitcases wondering if the purchase was going to fall through, wondering if we'd made a huge mistake, and with our mortgage offer running out of time, Lucy was there for us.
She took every call with the same, calm, cheerful manner. The amount of times I'd called Lucy I would have expected to catch her in an off moment, a busy period or a down day, but she was always the same. During the toughest part of being homeless and being ghosted by our solicitor and the seller if I had detected a tone of exasperation or boredom in Lucy's voice I'd have been crushed because she was literally the only person we had faith in, in the whole process. But Lucy was so kind and patient with us we felt like we were the only sale she was dealing with!! I cannot praise and thank her,and Hass and the team at Sawyer & Co enough. The service was literally life changing and have never been happier than we are now in the perfect home....
And when we do sell in the DISTANT future Sawyers will be only firm we call.

There has been a remarkable difference in this experience vs what our own agent has given us in the sale of our house. The process of purchasing a home is often lengthy with many moving parts and requires seamless communication. Most estate agents require clients to leave a message in the office for someone to get back to you which just adds time to issues that need fast resolution. On the first visit to the property, Hassen gave us his direct line and mobile phone number which has made a massive difference on how we have communicated. He has been excellent at communicating proactively, keeping us updated, talking to other agents and solicitors up and down the chain to keep momentum, calling out any issues/blockers and working hard to get them resolved. We had tried to sell our flat with several agents before going to Sawyer & Co – each of which would promise the world and ultimately deliver disappointing results (and often straight up lying to us to the point of getting their friends to view so it looked as though they were getting interest).
Aaron and the team at S&C were a breathe of fresh air. They were entirely honest from the start, non pushy and advised us on everything we needed to know up front.
Aaron booked in viewings regularly and provided feedback promptly without us having to chase. We found a buyer during peak COVID and a lot quicker than we thought we would.
As with most sales to FTB, our buyer became a little tricky and demanded a bigger discount at the last minute and he quickly defused the situation in a professional yet effective manner and got the sale exchanged and completed the next week.
I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Aaron, Jake and the rest of the S&C team, and will certainly be using them again in the future when we come to sell.
