The flat was up with Slades for 18 months and Godsells before that for around 18 months. There were mistakes on both sides that could have resulted in an earlier sale. There were changes in agents at Slades that were handling it but we were not informed when one left.
We had many viewings which seemed to go well but nobody committing.
We had offers but then they were non contactable. Very frustrating. There were a lot of retirement flats up for sale at that time and some decided to rent . We were not in a position to do this so eventually decided to cut our loses and sell well below what it was worth.
The agent that handled it got it over the line and sold it after being up with dual agency for another 8 months . It sold after 3 years on the market

Overall great customer service, advice, communication and helped make the process as smooth as possible.
We dealt with Mark and Ben who where always available to speak to if we had questions regarding our sale and purchase.
We previously had our house for sale through a different agent which wasn’t getting is many viewings which never really progressed.
Mark came round to value our property and gave us some valuable advice of when to list and explained the process, clearly and was honest.
After viewings updates where always given and eventually had offers on the house resulting in the sale.

Excellent service from the day I first made contact when considering different estate agents for our house sale. Initial contact was polite and efficient giving a good impression. First visit reinforced the perception of knowledgeable, professional and courteous team members. The service offered compared favourably to other agents eg the drone shots of the area and the London targeting (or at least to what other agents were able to articulate as their offer). It was an easy choice to make. Promotional materials were produced quickly to a very high standard with plenty of opportunity for us influence them. After that communication with Ben P our agent was excellent throughout. Analysis on online viewing metrics were discussed with us so we understood if the strategy was working. We gained the impression he was good at turning expressions of interest or enquiries into viewings and ensuring the viewings went well. Feedback detailed at all times. He persisted in following up viewers who'd been waiting to sell their own property which paid dividends when one of the earliest viewers made a very good offer 2 months or so later, out of the blue to us. He handled negotiations well and we got a good sale price agreed. After that communication remained excellent as he interfaced between us and the buyer (who had a lot of queries and questions helping them learn about the house) right up until completion day, keeping us and the buyer confident in the purchase process and ready for the move. Basically, really impressed with Ben and Slades from start to finish. I genuinely feel out of all the house sales and purchases I've done over the years that with this one, the estate agent really worked hard with a good professional skill set and deserved their fee.

Been living in rented house for the last 2 years with Slades, so far they been great, quick response if its up to them. As property professional myself I know sometime is not up to them(most time is up to the landlord).
We had issue with our main door, this was around 1930 (after hours) and Michael came was able to sort it temporarily so we can lock the door for the night.

We got three estate agents in Christchurch to value the house we wanted to sell. Jordan from Slades was the most professional, came back to us promptly, had sold similar properties in the same road and valued the house higher than the other estate agents, and way above what we thought it might be worth.
We therefore decided to go with Slades and were very pleased we did. Jordan immediately measured up, took photos, videoed for the 360 tour, and posted the house to Rightmove. The house looked fantastic and we got an offer within a few weeks for just below the asking price but still well above the valuations of the other two estate agents.
Following the offer the purchasers asked for various surveys and minor repairs and Jordan at Slades managed all of that and kept us informed at all stages. We exchanged contracts last week, less than 8 weeks after putting the house on the market.
I can honestly say, having bought and sold a number of houses over the years, that Slades made this sale easy, enjoyable and stress free, as well as getting us an excellent prices. I thoroughly recommend Slades and Jordan.

Wow... Where do I start... Slades have been great from the onset of selling our home, to the purchase of our new home which was also listed with Slades. The professional video and sales brochure they did to market the house was 2nd to none.
We had a bumpy ride and with the chain breaking down twice, this was not through any fault of my own or Slades, and they managed the process exceptionally well. I was kept informed at all times and they liaised with the other estate agents / solicitors involved in the chain.
Jordan and Ben were both brilliant, professional and smartly dressed on all occasions. They were responsive to all communications.
Slades asked if they could create a WhatsApp chat with myself, I was doubtful at first about this, but it proved a fantastic communication tool, especially when they wanted to book viewings for the property I was selling.
I have no hesitation in recommending Slades and will most definitely be using them again in the future.
If you need a local removals company, R.H Pardy based in Christchurch were who we used, again a great service was had by them.

In March this year we made an offer on a property in Highcliffe through Slades of Christchurch. Throughout the conveyancing process we dealt with Jordan Bunce the branch manager. He was always friendly, approachable and professional. He responded to questions from us promptly and comprehensively with good grace and in an unflappable manner. He constantly liaised with the sellers, solicitors and us to ensure a smooth path through the sale and purchase procedure, even though at times this was a challenge.
When unfortunately after nearly five months the chain below us collapsed, causing our sale and purchase to fall through, he was very sympathetic and understanding and did his best to lessen the impact this had on us, which was greatly appreciated.

I sold my property through the Christchurch office to a buy to let investor. Unfortunately I wasn't given correct information about the sale from the start which led to a drawn out transaction taking too long. Not once was I updated without asking and only when I complained did I get regular updates. Then when the lettings side of Slade's wanted to show a prospective tenant round before it completed I agreed to one viewing and was assured it wasn't being advertised on-line for rent. So I was shocked to find it on Rightmove days before completion when I hadn't given authority to do so. When I spoke to them they didn't see it as a problem, saying that my buyer wanted it advertised for maximum exposure. I really don't understand why I hadn't been asked as it was my property until completion and can only assume they thought I wouldn't notice. I'm stunned at the level of service I received from both offices and would not recommend using either of them.

I could not have wished for a better estate agents. I live on the West coast of Cumbria and following the passing of my mother I needed to sell her property. From my first contact with Mark Williams who provided the initial valuation for the property through to the handing over of keys his professionalism and helpfulness were excellent.
Apart from the upsetting circumstances ,it was difficult for me to visit the property due to distance 6-7 hour journey and lock down due to Covid-19. We purchased our current home through Jordan at Slades a few years ago and he was incredible throughout, so naturally we went back to him when it came to selling; and within 3 weeks of coming onto the market, he had found us a lovely first time buyer.
A 6 month process caused by inneficency furher ahead in the chain created untold stress upon us all here at the bottom of the chain. However Jordan was helpful, empathetic, knowledgable, full of good advice, and gives you time as a client. Without his chasing the top of the chain and giving us updates when the middle wasn't forthcoming I would have gone mad long ago.
He managed to keep our buyers on side, and facillitated a sale that could have easily collapsed multiple times.
In his absence, his colleague Ben took over as was equally as helpful, and was there to get us over the final hurdle of a complicated exchange,

The journey to purchasing our first home was a rocky one to say the least, but Jordan was kind, patient and clear throughout. He explained every step of the process and communicated all updates - both positive and negative - in a way which assured us that he was always on the case. We never had to chase him. Jordan; thank you for all your hard work, persistence, patience and replies to my numerous emails over the last 6 months... you kept us sane! If we ever move again, we will be seeking you out personally to help us. We couldn’t recommend Slades more - even when Jordan was out of the office, his colleagues were just as proactive and helpful as him.

From the outset the Slades team responded to our needs. We were in the unenviable position of being at the higher end of the price spectrum. After a year of trying we hit the 'Covid' situation which might have derailed our sale. However, with regular contact & price drops to a sensible & acceptable level our agents came good. Slades 'put the work in' & I would recommend them without hesitation.

Slades were very attentive with us while selling. They found a buyer quickly and brokered a good deal. One small criticism is that they were unable to get the full truth about the financial position of our buyer's buyer and ultimately that part of the chain caused us a lot of problems by failing to have the necessary funds at the crucial moment.
