Sadly a significant deterioration in service , attention to details since last used. The branch have no control over the social media marketing , and explained to us it was a new system, which used AI. Numerous FB posts had no info at all on the size of our house, or had the totally wrong info. We received no updates apart from 1 in a 3 month period. Our web listings had no video content, and unfortunately policing the constant mistakes became my job. It took 2 months of requests in writing, by phone , and in person before they arranged a targeted campaign. Me and my partner used the Easymover scheme through Taylor Wimpey and were given a choice of two estate agents. We went with Slater Hogg as Lisa gave us the friendly face we were looking for. Within the first week we heard nothing during the busiest point of sale. The second week, we had a viewing, I received no feedback and called multiple times and got answer machine. Eventually they did pick up the phone and Jane apologised profusely as one was on holiday and one was on sick and it’s a 3 man team. I let it slide as Jane was lovely. Within the next 4 weeks, we had maybe 2 more viewings. I didn’t feel like a priority as we weren’t paying them directly and I didn’t feel like they took us seriously when we complained about this. I was repeatedly told by Lisa ‘I don’t know what the problem is’ after me explaining it multiple times. I wouldn’t return here, as we have now been on the market 3 days and have 5 viewings, more than we got in 6 weeks with slater Hogg.... Read more

I can only speak of my experience with Slater Hogg as a buyer. When I was looking for my first property back in early 2022, I saw one sold buy them and asked for a copy of the home report. I got phoned by some pushy woman who gave me an interrogation - I must've ended up stuck with her on the phone for about 20mins. I remember distinctly as I was on the way back from the doctors and was worried about how long I was going to be AWOL from work for. I was forced to make an appointment before getting the home report. Eventually, I got the home report and decided I didn't want to view the property in the end. I could not get hold of them at all to cancel - no reply via email or phone. Fast forward to me now looking to move again in 2024 and it seems it's the same old tactics. I saw a property I liked and then saw who it was sold by and groaned. I tried twice to fill out my details on their website and didn't get any response until 3 days later. I got a phone call from a guy who told me to phone back and ask for himself. But he didn't provide any name. I wasn't feeling well and my throat was agony, so I didn't fancy having to speak to someone and going through a similar interrogation to last time. I tried emailing their office and explained the situation, but was ignored there too. So, I've given up with them and will be avoiding properties sold by them in future. I dread to imagine what dealing with their solicitors would be like during a sale given the impression so far. TLDR; buyers beware as trying to get info or a home report out of them is like pulling teeth and expect an interrogation if you do manage to speak to someone. Sellers beware as this company are extremely off-putting to potential buyers and could limit the viewers and potentially the offers you will receive on your property.... Read more
