Excellent service from the whole team at Symonds and Sampson. Held our hands throughout the whole process, and saw us through to a successful completion. Nothing was too much trouble, always super responsive to phone calls and emails, and in person, everyone couldn’t have been more friendly and professional! I hope we will not be buying and selling in the near future, as we hope we’re now in our forever home, but if we ever need to, would definitely use Symonds and Sampson again, they really care, we’re supportive, professional but with a family feel. We felt nurtured throughout the process, and would highly recommend to all people looking to either buy or sell a property. 5 stars are not enough!

I used Symonds and Sampson estate agents to sell my late Father's house at auction due to its less than great state.
In all respects from the first point of contact on the phone and in person, through the roller coaster ride going through the auction process, to the final outcome of completion today, their tireless expertise has been outstanding.
In particular I dealt a great deal with Andy Wakinshaw who was always a consummate professional balanced with ease of approachability and constant, faithful assistance. Every encounter I had with Andy was so easy and confidence building since this was my very first foray into selling a property and was clueless.
Andy however was a rock with very perceptive and accurate advice the entire way through over a few months. Following his obvious groundswell of gathered knowledge and insightful advice, we were able to complete on what became a tricky situation, that he handled without fuss and instilling confident peace in what could easily have been so different.
What professionalism, friendliness, expert advice and handling, with great timing too.
Cannot recommend Andy, the team and Symonds and Sampson highly enough.
Would not give consideration to any other estate agents following such excellent service from them.

Exceptional Service from Start to Finish - We've had the pleasure of working with Symonds & Sampson twice now – first when we bought our property, and most recently when we sold it. There are estate agents and there is Symonds and Sampson.
I’ve moved house a few times but the attention and professionalism of Rickey and the whole team was the best I have experienced.
The house was priced correctly, the details looked great and the marketing worked well. The house was sold very quickly, a testament to the teams expert matching of buyers.
We had a few problems not related to the sale , but the team kept with us throughout and even put up with my sometimes odd humour.

I don't normally write reviews but due to the exemplary service received by Symonds and Sampsons at Axminster, I feel I should share. From start to finish , the service provided in selling my Grade 2 listed cottage was brilliant. The advice I was given at the outset in order to sell proved to be incredibly important and the sound advice and knowledge throughout helped enormously. They go the extra mile and work much harder than other agents I have used in the past. An Estate Agent you can trust, which is so important for your biggest asset, your home. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Ours was a long and difficult sale due to the unique nature of the property, but S&S stuck with it. They managed to find lots of interested buyers, and after a couple of disappointments the sale went through. During the whole process the staff at Axminster were superb. On the whole the office staff were polite and friendly and appeared very efficient.
The only problem we had was that being a probate sale it appeared to us that details were not listened to or conveyed to the purchaser.
Luckily probate was obtained fairly quickly but then we were put under considerable pressure to complete very rapidly.
After completion Symonds and Sampson did not contact us at all which I found surprising.

After more than 9 months of failure to sell our property even though we had 20+ viewings and 4 offers (all of which failed) we moved our account to Symonds & Sampson. They told us that they would have customers ready to go and so it proved. Within 2 weeks we had a firm buyer and completion was accomplished withing the Stamp Duty relief deadline. Throughout the sale S&S were on the ball and liaised with us and the buyers very effectively. Naturally we are very pleased with the outcome and would recommend S&S to anyone especially if you have an unusual property like ours.

If like me you have previously had poor experiences with estate agents, this is the Agent to restore your faith in the value of this service. Some good 'old fashioned' customer service with good communication and a 'can do' problem solving mentality. Without doubt they helped to keep the transaction on track by good communication and through being prepared to get involved constructively to help both parties negotiate a solution. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone!

We have just bought a house in Kilmington via Rickey at Symonds & Sampson's in Axminster. Having previously gone through a house sale that fell through at the last hurdle with another estate agency firm, I just wanted to take a moment to express how great Rickey and S&S were. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble for Rickey, every question asked was answered with respect and promptly. Even when we originally viewed the house, we rang up and asked to view it that day and Rickey met us there that afternoon. Exceptional service, we will definitely use S&S if we ever come to sell our house (although that won't be anytime soon as we love it). Buying/selling a house can be a very stressful process but that wasn't the case for us at all. Thanks so much Rickey.

Would give a zero if I could. Rented from here the previous tenants had a full repainting taken out of their deposit work wasn't carried out. I left the house cleaner than when we got it and was charged £180 for limescale removal asked for proof work had been done surprisingly never got it. Have bought now and would never trust them after this experience and therefore would not use them in future even if I loved a house that was up with them wouldn't trust them

We tried to collect the keys on behalf of a friend for a lettings property from this agent, after phoning 11 times and visiting the shop twice we eventually spoke to the agent who shouted at us down the phone. Very rude staff, very disorganized agent - unable to return phone calls, unable to be courteous to clients. Shameful!
