5 stars all the way for this small , fast growing company called Thomas James Estate Agent.
I came across them one night back in March when I couldn’t sleep and I was scrolling through Instagram. Up popped a snazzy , vibrant recording of a beautiful house that I fell in love with and stirred my curiosity.
Five months later what was simply an idea has now turned into our home and we moved in on the 11th of August 2025 .
Years of talking about downsizing as both our children had flown the nest and made beautiful homes for themselves my husband and I decided to bite the bullet and sell our wonderful home of 40 years .A house which had been in our family for 75 years . We entrusted both Tom and James to do the job for us so we stood the chance of purchasing our new home ???? Meeting both Tom and James was an absolute pleasure . Both are warm , extremely friendly and yet professional.We sold with them and bought with them .
Their marketing strategy was spot on, and the photos of our property were stunning. Jame’s negotiation skills were impressive, and he managed to secure a great price for our property.

We lost our buyer just before exchange with no valid reason given while in a chain and you can imagine the tension for a typical working parent with young child. We have made the bold decision to invite Thomas James to step in to help us with the sell while keeping the same seller and they have proofed us right. Thomas James was professional in all aspect especially great at communication. From the speed of organising photoshoot/surveys etc. to launching the sales online, not just on typical property websites but on Instagram with videos which attracted huge amount of interest. We had since received multiple offers with final offer agreed at 5% higher than previous sale. Everything was transparent and we felt comfortable reaching decision with their expert advice.
Thomas James didn't stop there like most property agents. Their dedicated team continued to monitor the legal process and help close the gap within the chain. Overall, we managed to complete in two months from appointing Thomas James. A seemingly high-pressure timing however Thomas James makes it as smoothly as possible for us.
Thank you very much for your great job to help us to secure our dream home. We would not hesitate to recommend Thomas James to anyone who is looking to sell their property.

This was the first time I had used the English system to sell a property. Unfortunately initially I didn't listen to my son in law who achieved a higher rent that he expected for a property in Palmers Green by using Thomas James. He said that they were really professional and achieved great results in a short period.
In fact given my experience in selling a property at a distance, they were more than professional. James Mulvee was the lead in our sale.
They care, are absolutely diligent , their marketing is brilliant, videoing the flat, actively chasing up leads, visits and providing prompt feedback. Their buyer relationship is active and smooths out any issues during the period when the legals are being completed. In the back office, Elliot is adept at updating and communicating with all parties including the solicitor, managing agent and the seller. Their assistance also extends to helping manage the tenant relationship too.
I wish them all the best and hope that they can maintain their unique service and culture as their business expands. On the basis of the excellent service we had then they will be gaining awards.
In my view, Thomas James are a cut above the average estate agent by going well above and beyond expectations. ( How do I know? - I founded a management consultancy)

1st class service from the beginning when photographing and marketing the property, right to the end when we completed the sale.
We mainly dealt with James who was excellent throughout and a lovely person to deal with too.
He dealt with every stage of the sale with commitment and enthusiasm and always communicated effectively with everyone involved in the sale resolving any problems immediately.
He was very focused and promptly answered all messages no matter what time it was, we were never left to stress or worry.

The guys understood the assignment— they worked hard to present the flat properly and secured a fantastic buyer. Overall, this was an A++ experience. There are so many estate agents around these days, but Tom & James are doing everything differently— it’s a young fresh approach to buying and selling property in a way I’ve never seen before. Wow what can i say i never write reviews but on this occasion i feel compelled to tell everyone who is contemplating selling their house to go with these guys.
From the beginning they did pictures (photographer arrived like they were doing a movie) that were so beautiful..anyone would of wanted to buy my house ( i didnt even know my house looked like that!).
Mostly I liaised with James and at every difficult stage he was calm and friendly negotiating between myself the buyers and solicitors. Ive never known Estate Agents to be so involved before..at every difficult spot ..putting my mind at rest. The sale took a while because of a chain however James very skillfully managed to negotiate a deal to keep the sale on track. He was there all the time working and liaising at 10.30pm on occasions.. working to get the sale over the line.
Maybe its becuase they are independent they dont have the laid back attitude of a chain estate agent but their professionalsm for me has excelled other estate agents above and beyond.

Working with Tom and James has been fantastic.
They gave us great quality early stage advice which then helped us determine which parts of the house needed upgrading before putting on the market.
After a few weeks of work from us, they then arranged the spaces to look amazing for the photos.
They put the property out on the market in many directions, garnered a lot of interest for a single day of back-to-back viewings to keep the interest high. We ended the day with two offers.
After some back and forth by the guys, we had offer accepted a couple of days later.
During the conveyancing process, they were quick to respond and stayed on-it helping to make sure both buyer and seller were not getting stuck of frustrated.
Then on the final day, they were there to facilitate keys and make sure everything was running smoothly.
A note on fees, they charge a bit more than average, but I think we got that back in both the stress free sale process and the final purchase price.
We will be working with them again.

When I first met Tom I wasn’t sure if he was the estate agent or a very friendly neighbour who was going to show me the property .He didn’t have any of the usual banter you get, he just open and honest. He was also always available on WhatsApp for any questions I had. I would say he went over and above to help me make the purchase work for all parties.

I called James Mulvee when I really needed info to get my flat sale over the line. James didn’t sell my property due to location however he was more than happy to help when I gave him a call (he is someone I’ve known for a while through a business contact). There were a couple of issues around lease renewal and tenants which James solved immediately. He was able to recommend a Section 42 Notice which our own estate agent hadn’t mentioned at all. This allowed the rest of the process to follow. If this is how this company acts when it isn’t their direct customer then I imagine it is an even better service when they working with you directly. I completed my flat sale today and I’m currently in my new home.
