Utterly shocking ,
Rented 2 houses from Wilkins both in Tamworth.
We had to leave the first house as the mortgage hadn't been paid by the landlord and was therefore repossessed!
Second house -
Had multiple floods and ceilings collapse due to poor repairs and instillation.
Told by Wilkins to deal with the owner directly.
Part of the building began to collapse and was sealed shut by the owner rather than repaired.
Reported faulty plug sockets, black mould, and a hole in the roof , doors that wouldn't shut due to poorly fitted carpets, plumbing issues, lighting issues and more, was told by owner if we didn't like it we can leave. After months of waiting for his workers to return landlord is confused as to why I'm in no rush to pay him.
Had to request a gas safety certificate after 2 years of non being done.
Owner sent an extremely unskilled cash in hand (his words) worker to the property who I had to help due to his lack of knowledge.
Wilkins refused to help on all occasions of issues telling us to deal with the landlord.
Be careful as the apparent security of signing up with a supposedly reputable company only applies when their payments are affected.
Continual veiled threats of eviction and disgraceful handling of serious problems within a property housing a family with a young child.
Both Wilkins and the owner of the home should be ashamed.
Now attempting to enforce an eviction before the renters get more rights!

Sadly experienced a deteriorating level of service across a number of property sales having started with a positive engagement. Most worryingly when specific evidence of staff deliberately misleading us and misrepresenting our instructions to buyers was shared with one of the company directors they refused to discuss matters. (No doubt they will deny this) as such the matters are now being escalated to their industry bodies.

We have just purchased our first-ever home, moving from London to Tamworth. As first-time buyers, you always hear that this process is stressful, but the Wilkins team proved that wrong.
?We had our eye on a specific house but missed it initially. When it came back on the market, Alex was incredible, he kindly arranged for my parents to view the house in person while allowing me to join via Teams, as I was working away and couldn’t risk losing it again. He was responsive to every question, and we were able to offer immediately.
Jade then handled the chain progression. We hit a wall with one person in the chain, and with our mortgage offer expiring and otherd In the chain wanted to complete before Christmas, There was a lot of pressure. However, Jade worked her magic and made it happen. On December 5th, everyone got their dream homes!
At no point did I feel stressed. Alex and Jade have set a high standard for how buying a house should be handled. Thank you for making our first experience stress-free!
If you are a first-time buyer, go with Wilkins!

I can't fault the service provided by Wilkins on the sale of my property. They handled everything so professionally and were right on the ball. They got it sold subject to contract in under 2 weeks thanks to Emmerson and then Freya was the business when it came to progressing the sale. Sadly my buyers solicitors were totally useless but Freya never let them rest for a moment and, when it comes to getting a sale across the line that girl is like a Jack Russel Terrier!

I could not fault them.
They helped tremendously.
In particular with issues confronted by our buyer on the day of completion and when keys were scheduled to be handed over. Our removal van was all packed ready to go and it looked almost certain that it was not going to happen for another week. But, up pops Wilkins to make a few phone calls and as late as 4.35pm on a Friday approval for the move was given and boy could we breathe fresh air again! Then off we go, into the distance!......
10/10 for Wilkins of Tamworth. They should be known as The Wil-Kings of Tamworth ;o)

We chose to use Wilkins again due to this when selling my partners house, which is due to complete tomorrow. The whole team have been nothing short of outstanding. We had an issue with our solicitors and Grace stepped in and went above and beyond to try and plug the gap and finally bring us to a resolution. Their communication is excellent; being added to a WhatsApp group with all of the agents is so helpful, meaning information can be passed on and questions answered instantly.

Then, Jo secured us a mortgage when we had every obstacle in our way preventing it. We are first time buyers, had absolutely no clue about the process and what to expect. This might sound like a sales pitch but I’m genuinely chuffed with Wilkins!…
I’ve recently purchased a property through Wilkins. Emerson was a great help from start to finish. Was instrumental in helping us initially purchasing our property.
He was always there to speak to when needed, even out of hours.
Paul, who went out out of his way to recommend areas, and viewins was a really top bloke.
Jade, who bent over backward to get our sale over the line.. did things we never expected her to do!
After using a few estate agents, I Would definitely recommend Wilkins to anybody looking to buy or sell within the area.
Without them, I wouldn’t be in the property I’m chuffed about!

Viewed a property for sale and was contacted next morning to make a one off final offer for consideration with no chance of back and forth negotiation. Never experienced this type of practice with any other estate agent before. So, unless you offer way over the asking price you are just wasting your time viewing properties with Wilkins.

We were selling the house at a time when the market had been turned in its head. It was valued too high and when we moved to another estate agent we had to reduce it. It went for around £30,000 less than the original valuation. The quality of the images weren't too good and he seemed to whip around very quickly. He did return to improve on them.
They were a friendly team and I couldn't fault them on this

I have sold 2 properties recently with Wilkins. Estate Agents often get a bad rub but these guys are different. They were excellent from start to finish with both sales. They market your place very professionally and then they work damned hard to sell your place. They keep you fully informed at all times. A big shout out to Bek and to Emerson. They are both full of energy and are highly professional. I would highly recommend Wilkins to anyone.

Buyer beware with this estate agent. We attempted to purchase a vacant and chain free property (as they advertised and reassured us many times), but that wasn’t true. When asked if they do any due diligence checks on the sellers, we were told that’s not their job. We tried to formally complain but have been ignored. Thousands lost in fees and they don’t care.

Pleasant courteous staff. The photos were not the greatest . They vastly over valued the property and i had only four viewings in 3 months and no offers. Also i approached them after two months of very little activity, about a dual agency arrangement. I was told fairly firmly that i had a 20 week contract(too long!) and they would hold me to it. As far as i can see the bare minimum was done to market and sell my home.

Wilkins were initially excellent, they carried out all the viewings and managed to get offers quickly. Although they did over value the house, trying to win business with a divorce sale.
Amended 31/01/22 - Reduced to 2 stars. For a start the Sales Progression Manager was very helpful, we had delays and she was extremely friendly and pro-active.
BUT I have a WARNING for other potential customers, I made a stupid error, I am writing this to help other customers avoid my foolish mistake. Wilkins for some reason asked me to come in and re-sign the paperwork. I was in a rush and didn't read the document but they increased the fees from £2400 to 2% + VAT. This cost me an additional £2,160. Unfortunately I didn't have the original paperwork due to the way Wilkins were engaged, the house was due to a divorce and solicitors arranged the sale. I feel Wilkins have taken advantage of a very unfortunate situation. Congratulations on this Wilkins, I will pay but I would never use you again and advise others to BEWARE.

We sold our house before it went on the market with Wilkins and have only positive things to say about all of the team we dealt with especially Harry and Ben. The major positive with Wilkins is that they know the latest market values better than the other main estate agents in Tamworth (who coincidently have been in the town for much much longer)- this resulted in us receiving an offer that was not only full asking price but £50k more than any other agents wanted to put it on the market for!! This was backed up by our friends that sold recently via Wilkins and the gap in valuations from other agents was vastly off the mark again. My advice to anyone looking at this review - don't waste your time with any other agents in Tamworth.

I do not recommend the agency in Tamworth. I was informed about completely different rules. When we looked at the house, made an offer, we were the first viewers, we were told that there were a few more people and that if there was another offer, we would find out and we could raise the offer once. And finally it turned out that my first offer is final (and the agency does not even have to inform that there is a higher offer), we were not even informed about it, we were called after three days with information that the house was already sold to someone else. It's a waste of time for cooperation.

We had quite a bumpy ride with the sale of our house (slow solicitors on all sides and the house at the bottom of the chain fell through on the exchange date). Throughout this whole process, we really couldn't have asked for more from the Wilkins team and particularly Josh, who went over and above to support us throughout. This included regular, often daily chasing of all sides of the chain and keeping us informed throughout, driving to pick up documentation for solicitors and eventually organising the mortgage for the bottom of the chain to quicken the process up after the sale fell through. Completely unprofessional, booked a viewing at 16.00 for next day at 10.00. Turned up and found answer phone message received at 08.45 saying this property now sold. How in Gods name can that happen? Called the office to listen to a suit saying “it’s done and we don’t need you” which while technically correct is pure estate agent smarm. It is now my mission to tell everyone I know that Wilkins are a bunch of unprofessional shisters. It won’t hurt them but it’ll make me feel better!

Had Josh at Wilkins estate agents come to value my house back, in march last year, believe that Wilkens estate agents had not long started up back then, pleasent guy though reason for 2 stars is that i believe he undervalued the house for a quick sale, had another well established estate agent based in tamworth come out couple of days later, valued house at £10k more, listed with them, sold at near asking price within 4 weeks, so made an extra £8k...make of that what you will...wish Wilkins all the best though.

Great start with plenty of promises for the money you pay - unfortunately they are a young immature company that need to walk before they run.
The photo quality was disastrous, they copied the original house description from the previous sales particulars even though they were out of date due to home improvements.
When spoken to about the inaccuracies they became defensive and rude, they promised to amend and didn't in total we wasted over a month in trying to achieve a reasonal advert to sell our house.
Eventually we had to part ways after receiving the worst service ever from an Estate Agents.

I was not the impressed with their lack of communication after listing and that their excuse for not selling our house was that it was overpriced. They valued it and advised us on the price to list at! I believe they did this as they knew I spoke to several agents and they pitched well yes but I don’t think they did all they could or said they were going to do. Also we had so many viewing cancellations which I don’t think was normal and I don’t feel a lot of those who did view were qualified very well. Several were not even on the market or in a position to proceed which was something we were quite clear on as we had found the house we wanted to move to.

As first time buyers my partner and I really didn't know what to expect but I truly believe we struck gold finding a house we loved that was being sold by Wilkins.
Nothing is too much trouble for them, and Harry is absolutely amazing! He was with us on the first viewing and available for a call or whatsapp any hour of every day since.

Amazing service from Josh and his team, from my first phone call with Harry to Josh coming around to sign me up !
House was put on the mrket on the Wednesday - we had our offer of sale on the Sunday. Harry handled the viewings and I found him to be an enthusiastic and very knowledgable young man.
Meetings were arranged to suit us, which is great as we work full time, communication excellent, always on the end of the phone/message.
