Great service from the start to completion of sale. All the staff were really helpful with whatever enquiries I had. They explained the process at every stage and also helped me with completing and checking any paper work I had to complete.

While our own estate agent were a source of much disappointment, Sarah was the one to take the lead, engaging with all parties, moving things forward and always taking the time to update us on what was going on and if she was on a day off, Ellie ensured we were kept informed.
Even of the day of the move, Sarah was the one to ring us and let us know where we were with completion - I had to ring my own estate agent and tell him.
A bit of a unique review as we did not engage William H Brown to act for us, but I cannot fault the effort Sarah and Ellie went to in order to get us in to our new home, thank you both.

I have used William H Brown Estate Agents Dinnington twice. The first time in 2014 when I came over from Australia to buy a house for us to retire to. The team there were so helpful. They even gave me the use of a desk. I bought a beautiful house through this branch in a record time and they did everything possible to help with the purchase upon my return to Australia.
Due to a change of circumstances I had to sell the house this year, 2025, and did so without returning to the UK. They sold the house within two weeks of it being listed and went above and beyond to assist me remotely with the sale. This included security checks on the house, fixtures and fittings check lists, locating documents for proof of works carried out to the boiler and electrical systems and chasing solicitors for both myself and the buyer. The list is endless.
I am sure that there are team members that I do not know who made this happen. I have to give a special thank you to Jane who worked tirelessly to make things happen. Always cheerful and positive, without her hard work and quick rational responses, the completion of the sale would have been significantly delayed. I have to say that I cannot be happier with the service they gave me. If you are buying or selling, I cannot see how anyone would be disappointed with the excellent service provided by the team at this branch

Valuation was £130 - £140,000. Final sale price £95,400. Lots of viewings took place, very well handled. However, all viewers stated that the property was hugely overvalued. I feel that a more realistic valuation originally would have prepared me more for the final outcome. It is not helpful to overvalue.

Dinnington office (Jane and Elle) handled the sale of my Anston property. They were very professional, friendly, and always helpful through the process.
They deserve five Stars but for me they were let down by their conveyance partners, tilly bailey and irvine in Hartlepool, who from the start lacked any degree of personal communication. They used a portal online and only contacted me by email unless I phoned. Each email message was followed by a paragraph stating not to keep calling the office. All documents received stated to call the conveyance team leader with queries, but she was never available. Her team dealt with everything!
The distance involved also prevented convenient handover of documents etc.
In hindsight I would always choose my own local conveyancer. Lesson learned!!

She continually chased enquires and would very often call vendors / solicitors just to get an update to let us know how things were going without us asking. I really felt like she was on our side and genuinely cared for all parties involved. Buying a property takes team work and without Jane and Elle at William H Brown our move to relocate in Sheffield would not have been as smooth and would have been so much more stressful. They were the agents dealing with the purchase of our property and sadly we had loads of issues with our solicitor not responding and failing to give us the advice we needed to resolve very serious concerns.
Jane and Elle were the mediators between all parties and ensured that the purchase stayed on track and we completed on the date agreed. They were always so pleasant and responsive and shown such professionalism in keeping things on track. I will say we did not buy a house with WHBrown. However the service we did receive was great. Ellie called us every week with updates on houses theh had coming up. She even contacted us to see how our search was going when nothing was coming up and recommended other houses with other sellers. By far the best customer service we have had over the past year searching for a house. Honestly disapointed not to buy through them but you cant help who is selling the house you choose.

Tried to purchase a property. Put first offer in, said needed to be nearer the asking price. So i then offered full asking price. Was informed the holding company/charity selling had decided to go to best and final offer. I then put in my best offer which was the highest as informed over the phone, but they still sold to the lower offer. Blaming it on chains. My chain was ready to go it was myself holding it up due to having no property to go to.... Id think they went with the person obtaining a mortgage through there advisor in branch.
This went on for several days. In the end if its best and final it should mean BEST & FINAL. Never using again to buy or sell. Disgraceful conduct.

They were prepared to go that extra mile in ensuring access for prospective buyers and monitoring security, the property being empty and a considerable distance from my present location - a service very much appreciated. Fee-wise they are competitive with other local agents.
I used my own solicitor for the conveyancing so cannot vouch for any that Browns may recommend, but as with estate agents, solicitor's fees and services can vary considerably, so do your homework before engaging.
I would be happy to use Browns in future should the need arise, and commend their services to you.
