This experience has not only been disappointing but has also taught me a valuable lesson about due diligence and the importance of trusting my instincts. It’s disheartening to think that in a competitive industry, some companies rely on slick sales pitches rather than genuine service and support.
The discrepancy between what was promised and what was delivered is glaring. When they assured me that all potential buyers would be thoroughly vetted, I believed them. However, the reality was far from the ideal they painted. The lack of qualified and genuinely interested buyers led to wasted time and effort, which could have been better spent elsewhere.
Moreover, the absence of consistent communication is unacceptable. Waiting for days for feedback is not just inconvenient; it's a disservice to anyone trying to make informed decisions about their property. The promised weekly calls never materialized, leaving me with a sense of uncertainty and neglect. I shouldn't have to chase for information that should be proactively provided especially when paying a premium for their service compared to the local market leaders.
Feedback from potential buyers is crucial, especially when it pertains to something as significant as a property sale. To have my concerns dismissed and ignored only compounded my frustration. It’s clear that their priorities lie elsewhere, perhaps with new clients rather than those already committed. As let’s face it a house if correctly priced will sell itself.
On deciding to leave being reminded by them you are trapped in a contract that feels more like a cage than a partnership is a bitter pill to swallow. It’s a situation that fosters resentment and distrust, and I can’t help but feel that I’ve been taken advantage of. I expected professionalism and accountability, but instead, I was met with defensiveness and blatant lies when bringing up my concerns and reasons for wanting to end our contract. The lack of accountability is truly frustrating.
All being said I hope to encourage others to be vigilant and discerning when choosing who to work with. A great sales pitch should not overshadow the necessity for genuine service. I will certainly think twice before getting swept up in the charm of a well-prepared salesperson. In the future, I will prioritize companies that value their clients and prove their worth through action, not just words.

We cannot recommend WH Brown enough, a very friendly but professional service from start to finish, we dealt with Claire primarily, who was very knowledgeable and supportive. On this occasion we have withdrawn our sale but we wouldn’t hesitate to use WH Brown should our circumstances change in the future.

Anybody looking to sell their home or to buy a home? I would highly recommend that you do not use William h Brown in Rushden. The team is absolutely useless with a massive staff turnover. The office is closed more than it is open. They never answer their phones and they say one thing and do something completely different, they messed up every aspect that it’s possible and more in the process of trying to sell my house. It took them two months to sort all their mistakes out by which time I’ve had enough I moved to a better agent who seem to know what they are doing. So if you’re serious about selling your home, make sure you do your homework because these guys completely fail on communicating and professionalism

Never use this company if you are a landlord. They have been absolutely shocking. I could have managed it better myself. My property is in Rushden. Nobody takes responsibility for anything. Head office in Norwich is a joke. They pass you onto people who no longer work for the company, don't tell you when the person you were dealing with has left. You will wait 40 minutes on the phone before you get through. I told the letting agent on Monday that the boiler was leaking and it's now Friday and they haven't arranged for a plumber to fix the problem. An absoute joke of a company. They should be ashamed of themselves.

I used William H Browne to manage the sale of my Late mothers property. Like most sales these days, things were not straight forward, however I found a gem in Paige Scanlon, who was always on the case pushing the chain along. Without Paige the sale could have easily fallen through, but with her hard work and tenacity she got it over the line. Great customer service.

When viewing property staff have literally no idea about basic details of house. Never ask for feedback from viewings. Made offer on a property but NEVER heard anything back so made an offer on another property with different agent. Wouldn't recommend as if someone puts in an offer is that ever passed on?
