They kept me fully informed throughout the process, always responded quickly to any questions, and made what could have been a stressful experience feel straightforward and well managed. Their knowledge and friendly attitude really stood out, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone buying or selling a property.

28th May 2024 (1 year ago)House sold for £173k after original valuation was £215k due to market conditions. Had to contact the Office at times to try and get some action. We were forgotten about at times.

14th Oct 2025 (22 weeks ago)Tried selling a flat with them and it was a drawn out and painful process. It lasted more than a year before it fell through. Going with their contractors and solicitors was the biggest mistakes I made in the sale. I thought if I went with their recommendations, they will facilitate the process, but no. One was dishonest and the other one completely incompetent. Stuart Edward was initially responsive, but then when run into problems months down the line, Lindsey stopped answering calls and the boss Stuart did not call back when messages left. I was left on my own to deal with all the technicality and mess. It was so horrible and stressful, I do not wish it on anyone. Two stars was being very generous as they were ok initially. I went with them because I wanted to support family business. Never again.

She responded promptly to my inquiries and made a significant effort to ensure that the process ran smoothly. I am very pleased with the overall experience at Dowen, particularly with Caroline's assistance. It was an outstanding experience.
8th Mar 2026 (11 days ago)Instructed Peter Heron to market by 2 bed apartment. Initially there were very few viewings and when I rang to query this I was told that I had it on the market at too high a price and asked if I wanted to reduce the asking price! At this point in time my property had only been on the market for less than a month!! I persevered and after a couple of months did reduce the asking price but still not much interest. The final straw was them marketing the flat next door to me in the same block for £10k less than my property. No courtesy heads up on this, and when I expressed my unhappiness they weren't interested, so I gave notice to remove my property from the market. I did look into whether this was a conflict of interests and apparently it can be viewed as such. Amazingly I started getting viewings, but these viewers were also viewing the lower priced neighbouring flat. Problem now was the inability of Peter Heron to obtain any feedback from these viewers except for a small minority, despite Peter Heron staff actually providing accompanied viewings for these viewers. That flat has now sold as it was reduced by a further £10k (landlord owned so able to take a lower price) so I assume they were able to gather feedback successfully for that property, and annoyingly when I went to retrieve my keys from them and mentioned that it was impossible to sell my flat with such a big price difference they were again uninterested and didn't even tell me that the neighbouring flat had been sold that day. Would never use them again or recommend them to anyone.

23rd Sep 2025 (25 weeks ago)I’ve been with DH1 Lettings and Sales for over 7 years, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better service. They managed and looked after my house while it was rented out, and more recently they successfully (and very quickly!) sold it for me – all while I was living abroad in Dubai. They’re a genuine family business who really care, not only about their landlords but also about the tenants. Communication has always been excellent, and I’ve always felt my property was in safe hands. I can’t recommend DH1 Lettings and Sales highly enough – professional, trustworthy, and truly personal service from start to finish.

The previous team of Brian & Neil were excellent but now the staff won't return calls or emails and still owe me £150 since last Dec which they promised to pay but never have. Very poor.

20th Feb 2026 (27 days ago)Useful to be invited to comment! I/we would say that it's never good to be provided with false information. Nor to suffer broken promises, or to be introduced to a buyer who definitely isn't going to be able to buy, and an agent is well aware. These things cause real damage and distress to a seller. I/we definitely don't recommend this business, it caused provable harm.
5th Sep 2025 (6 mo. ago)I have been a tenant under Everbest for a year and they have been incredibly helpful throughout the course of my tenancy. In the beginning they ensured a smooth transition into the property and were massively helpful in preparing it and ensuring we were happy. If there was ever a problem it was very easy to contact a member of the team and they always responded in a timely, respectful and judicious manner. I had no problems at all with Everbest and recommend them to anyone.
2nd Dec 2025 (15 weeks ago)John, Victoria and the team provided first class service for both the sale of our property as well as help and support to find a property to purchase. Their attention to detail and service is excellent our property sold in less than 24 hours and that was down to their level of expertise. Would look no further in the future at any other estate agent they provide support like no other.
