We didn’t need to chase them at all and as it was a stressful time for us, they certainly took the pressure off us. Big thanks.

18th Dec 2018 (7 years ago)RedDoor have given a faultless service in the sale of this house. Unlike some estate agents they have kept me fully informed throughout and have liaised proactively with my solicitors so that I had virtually no 'chasing up' to do. Their knowledge of the sale and rental market in Medway is vast as they also manage rental properties. The team is always friendly and never too busy to return calls promptly or follow up some of my (sometimes) anxious questions. I have used other Medway estate agents and the service from RedDoor has been the best.

5th Dec 2024 (1 year ago)If I could rate 0 stars I most definitely would! DO NOT TRUST STONEWELL ESTATES AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Basically I went to see a property Stonewell estates had advertised. Karen from stonewell estates showed me around and insisted I pay a holding fee that day if I want the opportunity of getting the flat … btw this was for my mum. Once I got home I paid the holding fee. 2 weeks followed hadn’t heard anything. So i called for an update and was told to wait and they would get back in contact. Heard nothing for another month . So I called And all I can say is Karen was so rude to me on the phone just for simply asking about the property. I finally got an email saying mum hadn’t been accepted for the flat and we was like fair enough , we need our holding fee back. After numerous calls and getting nothing out of Karen either by phone or email. The last phone call I had with Karen I asked for our money back, she was stuttering and said she would call back which she didn’t! So I went to my bank yesterday and reported her for fraud and i got my money back I hope they get a good telling off.
23rd Jul 2025 (7 mo. ago)Dealing with Street Estate Agents has been one of the worst experiences I've had with a letting agency. They increased the rent on my property without giving proper notice or any form of communication beforehand. I only found out after receiving a demand for a higher payment — no explanation, no warning, nothing. Their customer service is shockingly poor. Trying to get in touch with someone who will actually help you is near impossible. Emails go unanswered, phone calls are dodged, and when you do finally get through to someone, the staff are rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful. It feels like they simply don’t care about tenants at all. To top it all off, I was served an eviction notice shortly after raising concerns, again with little to no communication or explanation. It seems they have no interest in treating tenants with fairness or respect. If you value transparency, professionalism, and being treated like a human being, steer clear of Street Estate Agents. They are untrustworthy, uncommunicative, and have zero regard for their tenants.

13th Jan 2025 (1 year ago)Value of property from P property was recommended 270 which I felt was low. Decided to sell @ 280 as thought property was worth that. Luckily that’s the price I was offered. Abbie very good at her job on attending viewing. How ever very disappointed on communication & advertising Didn’t feel enough was done to promote the property felt that it had gone stagnant. Only one viewing at first back in September & second not until this Saturday 11th January. no phone call in between to reassure me that I could possible sell my house

27th Jan 2026 (7 weeks ago)Traveled nearly 3 hours to view a property they had up for sale with my family. Only to be told half an hour before the viewing that they had received 3 offers on the property, one above the asking price and one just below. Then told there was no point coming down to see it and asked to turn back around. Not only did I waste time and effort, we scheduled our days off to come and see this place and no one had the balls to call or email day before to say there were offers on the property and there’s a chance it may not be available after they speak with the owner. Wasted fuel, time, effort and money only to be told with half an hour to go. Then they had the audacity to tell me that they had only just found out, (all three, one above the asking price and one just under + another offer all came in that morning did it? In this stagnant market! Okay) and that the property actually had structural issues and was probably no good to me anyway. Next time you make a mistake just put your hand up, say sorry we go go to call you and let you know, offer to pay atleast the bloomin dart charge as a gesture of goodwill and atleast you can make people think you care. It’s a shame because I’m looking to move specifically into the area that property is located and I’ll be avoiding this estate agent entirely now. Can’t wait to hear what excuse they come up with in their reply (if they reply).

He was always on top of things, chasing up solicitors and making sure everything ran smoothly. Brian was a pleasure to work with — friendly, professional and so helpful. 3rd Oct 2024 (1 year ago)We knew we were selling at a lower price but they found a buyer quickly and knowing there were no estate agency fees or solicitors fees brought the price closer to what we had hoped for.

15th Jul 2025 (8 mo. ago)Overpromised, Underperformed and Untrustworthy – My Costly Mistake with HSD I initially listed my property with PurpleBricks in March 2025 for £535,000. After limited viewings over a three-month period, I began exploring other options and submitted an enquiry to WeBuyAnyHouse. They quickly came back with an offer of £460,000—roughly 14% below asking—claiming it would allow for a quick sale. I immediately declined, as I was not in a rush and didn’t want to take such a significant loss. Shortly after, my details were apparently passed on to House Sales Direct (HSD), seemingly a sister company, without my explicit consent. HSD came across as professional and engaging at first. They promised a 98% success rate in selling properties within 28 days, citing a strong network of pre-approved buyers and investors who could complete within 6–8 weeks. They suggested a sale price spread of £510k–£535k, assuring me they would work to get me the best price possible. It sounded promising. Based on these assurances, I decided to proceed with HSD. I withdrew my PurpleBricks listing—costing me £300—with the understanding that HSD’s investor network would accelerate the sale. But things quickly began to unravel. Despite supposedly having investors lined up, HSD said they needed to relist my property on Rightmove first. When I questioned why investors couldn’t simply view the home, the response was vague. It took nearly two weeks for them to relist, and the new asking price was £525,000. A full week passed without any communication. Then came a call recommending the price be dropped to £499,000. I was told this was “just a marketing tactic,” and that they still aimed to get me a sale within the original £510k–£535k range. But I struggled to understand how listing a property nearly £40,000 lower would achieve that. I asked again about the investors. They finally admitted the only offer received was the same £460k I'd declined weeks earlier through WeBuyAnyHouse. This was when the red flags really began to show. Why wasn’t I told this upfront? Why present an optimistic price range if their investor offer was fixed at £460k from the beginning? Why was I encouraged to pull the property from PurpleBricks if they intended to rely on the open market anyway? I could have just reduced the price there and avoided unnecessary costs and delays. Doing more research online, I found stories from others with eerily similar experiences. It appeared HSD’s real model was to attract sellers with high expectations and then drop the price, relying on open-market tactics to force a quick sale. Despite claiming not to charge commission, they would never clearly explain how they made their money. It seems they may be negotiating higher prices with buyers while offering sellers less—profiting off the gap. No transparency, no trust. Meanwhile, they knew I was paying a high mortgage on an empty property. It became clear they were hoping I’d become desperate enough to accept the same low £460k offer I had already rejected twice. In the four weeks my property was listed with them, only four viewings were arranged. Two were no-shows. Of the remaining two, one viewer stayed for just five minutes—asked no questions and didn’t even view all the rooms. It felt performative, not serious. As expected, neither viewer submitted an offer, despite supposedly being “pre-qualified and keen.” Eventually, I told HSD I wanted to withdraw the property. That’s when I was informed—shockingly—that I had unknowingly signed up for a 52-week contract, and I’d need to pay £1,500 to exit, or £999 if paid within 7 days. I wrote to them, acknowledged that they had done some work, and offered a reasonable £699 exit fee, explaining I needed to rent the home out due to financial strain. They refused and insisted on full payment. I paid the £999 immediately—but it still took a full week and several chasers before they finally removed the property from Rightmove. By the end of the ordeal, it was clear I was no longer a priority for them. In summary: Do I regret choosing HSD? Absolutely. Would I recommend them to someone looking for a fair, transparent, and professional house sale experience? No. If your only goal is to sell quickly and you don’t care about value, they might work for you. But if you want to sell your home at a decent price with a partner you can trust, I strongly advise staying away from HSD.
