28th Jun 2024 (1 year ago)The house we are selling is my mums and as I don’t still live in the area it was my brother who was the initial point of contact with Abode. They advised him to put the property on the market for an unrealistically high price and not surprisingly there was little or no interest. So, after weeks of little or no communication with Abode my brother went to see them . He was told the price was too high by someone other than the initial valuer.? So, price reduced to a more realistic level but still poor communication from Abode. We have since found a new agent.

4th Mar 2026 (14 days ago)We put our house up for sale 3 years ago with an estate agent, frustratingly after over a year we had very few viewings and zero offers. we took our house down and re listed with Bridgefords in Penketh. The difference was absolutely astounding, Bridgefords took ownership and responsibility for all the viewings, they worked with us, to give us the best possible chance at sale with over 25 viewings in the space of 3 weeks we were astounded. The house was sold and finally completed last week, the support and help from the team at Bridgefords Penketh was amazing and i would recommend them to anyone needing to sell there property. A Fabulous team of individuals, thank you all.
18th Dec 2023 (2 years ago)From viewing a property to signing for it took a week, the team at lilac were excellent from start to finish, I was always kept up to date with how the process was going and always made to feel like a valued customer, I can't rate them highly enough, certainly deserving of the 5 stars. It was a pleasure doing business with them.
29th Feb 2024 (2 years ago)Considerable over valuation of the property contributed to a long and unsuccessful sale process. They also favoured the seller’s needs over my own. Communication method are old fashioned (phone calls and voice messages with no content) all made for a very unsatisfactory experience. Avoid!
7th Aug 2025 (7 mo. ago)We had a great experience with Barrow & Coon Solicitors recently when buying our first house. We had Marie as our Solicitor & Sue as her Secretary, both absolutely amazing. They were always on hand to deal with any big or small query that I had & kept me in the loop with every little detail. I would 100% recommend them to anyone & I will absolutely be using them again in the future if we buy another property. Thank you both so much for making such a stressful experience so enjoyable.

Guy Owen in the building surveying team was very professional and responsive throughout, providing us with a detailed report and offering advice in a timely manner. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Guy.

They are hands on with getting a buyer but also hands on with conveyancing ensuring no delays between the two solicitors which takes the stress away from the sake as the communication and updates are timely.
