She was always very informative with new properties that she thought might be right for us and every viewing we attended to Katie was always there waiting to greet us and ready to showcase the property to it’s full potential. Once we found are property Katie was amazing in helping us with every step of the way. She made the whole process very easy with constant support and communication between us chancellors head office and our new landlord. We truly appreciate everything Katie done for us and can only describe her as totally amazing and wonderful in her role as a chancellors letting agent . I do hope all your agents across the country are as wonderful as Katie. Thank you very much Katie you’re a star ??

Francesca and David was helpful, supportive and easy to communicate with throughout the process. They always responded quickly to my questions and made the purchase feel much smoother and less stressful. I’m very happy with the service I received and would definitely recommend them!

He is friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable, and takes the time to answer all our questions. His customer service has been excellent throughout, and we’re really pleased with how everything has been handled. Would happily recommend. Thanks Ken!
7th Feb 2025 (1 year ago)After minimal success with our first Agent in selling our house, we chose to move to 'James Gesner Estate agents' due to their knowledge of Wallingford and the surrounding area and specifically one area. Having the team represent our sale, and then to find us a property in the area we were looking to move, I would comment that James and the team were exceptional. The data (marketing report) that they provide against the sales element was informative, the viewings that they conducted, were very professional and the correspondence was always relevant, and always available. James is very knowledgeable where it matters and worked tirelessly in supporting both the house sale and purchase, and I felt that he really went above and beyond in providing a great service and doesn't seem to switch off by providing updates whilst in Mexico. James Gesner Estate Agency will certainly be first on my list for any House sales/Letting.

A consistent assurance that the right buyer was out there, one who would appreciate the property and its location, whilst adding value to what is a friendly, engaging community.
8th Aug 2026 (15 days ago)Very disappointing experience and serious concerns about transparency.<br>We applied to rent 1 Compton Manor while arranging an international move. We were accepted as tenants, paid a holding deposit, received a draft tenancy agreement and underwent referencing and credit checks.<br>We were then informed that the owner had agreed to sell the property and our tenancy would not proceed. We subsequently discovered that the property had been marketed for sale by Warmingham only 1 month before it was advertised to let.<br>We made a formal complaint because neither of us had understood that the property we were applying to rent was actively for sale. Warmingham later stated that their agent recalled verbally telling us this during the viewing. This is completely inconsistent with our recollection: we clearly remember being told that the neighbours property within the six-home development was vacant and for sale, not 1 Compton Manor.<br>After we disputed Warmingham's account in writing, we received no further response or final outcome to our formal complaint.<br>Had we known the property was actively for sale, it would have materially affected our decision to proceed with the deposit, referencing and credit checks.<br>Based on our experience, we cannot recommend Warmingham. We believe the property's dual sale/rental status should have been made absolutely clear before we were asked to commit to the rental process.<br>Prospective tenants are looking for stable homes and often have little room for uncertainty once they begin committing money, time and personal information to a property. In our view, allowing tenants to progress this far without making the risk of an ongoing sale unmistakably clear takes unfair advantage of that imbalance and falls well short of the transparency we would expect from a professional estate agent.

A number of viewings carried out speedily and feedback provided in a timely manner. All staff were friendly and approachable. Great teamwork apparent.

After meeting with several estate agents, it was clear that Luke was the right person to handle our sale. He quickly understood the property, set out a clear strategy, and impressed us with his honesty, flexibility, and ambition.<br><br>Communication was excellent throughout, with Luke always available to answer questions and offer guidance. Tiffany was also a pleasure to work with, helping with viewings and queries, while Mark provided great support whenever Luke was away.<br><br>We accepted an offer within days, and despite a few inevitable hurdles before completion, the process was smooth overall thanks to Luke and the team. We would have no hesitation in recommending Thomas Merrifield to anyone looking to move in the area.

They supported me during a very difficult and stressful period when my previous landlord served me with a Section 21 notice and I urgently needed to find suitable accommodation for my family. From the very beginning, the team was professional, understanding, and respectful. The agent took the time to listen to my circumstances, treated me with kindness and dignity, and worked hard to help me find the right property. Their communication was excellent throughout the process, and they were always available to answer questions and provide reassurance when needed.
