We put our house on the market in March, we decided on Barnard Marcus as their valuation was the highest (out of 3). Their initial contact was good and positive but after a couple of months they suggested we drop the price from 575k. To 500k, this was a huge drop and far from their valuation of 575-600k, although viewings continued they didn’t really give any updates or feedback so we ended our contract with them when the initial 20 weeks were complete.... This is now my 8th year with Maalems estate agents and I have not had a single day without tenants in my flat. It’s such a stress free arrangement for me as I have Maalems manage my flat also, so they resolve all issues when they arise allowing me to concentrate fully on my work without ever having issues to deal with from the tenants. Maalems have always selected excellent tenants who take great care of my property and my current tenants are heading into their 4th year with me. Leah and her team always manage to get top of the market rent for me whilst their fees percentage is very low….especially for the amazing job they do for me. But for me the far more important thing than the rental income they continue to achieve for me is the great relationship I have with them. Always 100% professional but always so personable also. They really do look out for me and have my best interests at the forefront, never once have I felt like just another landlord to them. From the first day I handed Leah the keys I’ve also has an excellent relationship with the whole team, no matter who it is I deal with. And I have to mention Magda who is in charge of the day to day on my flat and with whom I have the most contact. She is the greatest trouble shooter and whenever an issue arises with work needing to be done on my flat she always gets it resolved instantly, and prevents any stresses passing down to me. And I must add the tradespeople they use to maintain my property are truly excellent. The work gets done instantly, always to an exceptional standard and the bill is always a lot lower than expected. So I couldn’t be happier with Maalems estate agents and I look forward to continuing my relationship with them for many more years... Read more
