17th Sep 2026 (6 weeks ago)We had ongoing issues with the honesty and support we received from this agency during our purchase. Our independently arranged snagging inspector had a failed visit because the developer forgot the appointment and the property wasn't ready. We were charged £399 by the inspector, in line with his standard terms for a missed visit. Rather than holding the developer accountable, a staff member phoned our inspector and questioned his honesty about how the booking was made. The inspector later told us this in writing himself, describing it as "concerning." Only after he pushed back with a clear account of events did the agency admit in writing that we "certainly shouldn't be charged for a service that wasn't carried out," but no resolution was actually offered. Separately, when we queried being asked to cover the developer's solicitor's fees, our own solicitor had already explained the general process to us. Our concern was that the developer wasn't following up as agreed to justify the specific charge. Despite this, we were told the agency was "surprised our solicitor hadn't explained it", which wasn't accurate, since it had been explained. Our actual query was never properly addressed. Our experience was that when we raised legitimate concerns, the agency's instinct was to defend the developer rather than engage honestly with what we were telling them.

29th Dec 2020 (5 years ago)Fine and Country we ok but I feel they could have been better........ The photos were taken in the winter but the house didn't get marked until June because of the pandemic. We felt that the external photographs did not show the house at its best, this was also commented on by a couple of viewings, therefore we discussed this with Fine and Country - their response was "well you approved the photos" . In light of this and having a limited viewings I took it upon myself to take my own photographys with my iPad which I emailed to Fine and Country and requested the pictures to be swapped.

I wanted a quick sale so that my aunt could move into a care home and he achieved this, His recommendations for a solicitor and a house clearer were also very good. I am very grateful to him and would recommend the firm

Everything was sorted within 2 weeks and we didn’t have to do much , lovely staff really supportive and genuine. From the moment we dealt with Aidan Flynn, the Branch Manager, and Angela Morse, that feeling completely changed.<br><br>Aidan was absolutely fantastic in going through so much relevant data to help us get set up. He was professional, approachable and, most importantly, genuinely cared about getting the best possible outcome for us. Angela was equally brilliant and went above and beyond to help us find our onward move, which took a huge amount of pressure off our shoulders.<br><br>There were moments when the whole process felt overwhelming with some solicitor/chain delays, but having Aidan and Angela there made us feel like we weren’t dealing with everything alone. They kept us informed, listened to us and always did everything they could to move things forward.<br><br>After the experience we’d had previously, we had honestly lost a lot of faith in estate agents. Aidan and Angela completely restored that faith. They treated us like people rather than just another transaction, and that meant more to us than they probably realise.<br><br>We are genuinely so grateful to both of them for helping us sell our home and, just as importantly, helping us find our next one.<br><br>Thank you, Aidan and Angela, for your patience, kindness, hard work and for being there when we really needed you. 7th Oct 2026 (20 days ago)We have just sold and bought through Godwin Curtis, and Jordan was our amazing estate agent. She gave a realistic valuation and our property sold to the first viewers for the asking price. She also swiftly and professionally negotiated the purchase of our next home. She was extremely approachable, responsive and pro-active, but never pushy. She managed to handle every potential hitch so that we all came out feeling we had been fairly and respectfully treated, and that really is an achievement, given what a long and stressful process buying and selling is. Please don’t choose an agent that overvalues your property just to get it on their books, then lets it (and you) stagnate for months, even years. If you are serious about selling your property, then I would 100% recommend Godwin Curtis, and Jordan specifically – she is experienced, professional, a brilliant negotiator and will be with you every step of the way. Thank you, Jordan, and Godwin Curtis – you have literally made our dreams come true!

Email times and callbacks have been stellar, I've had all my issues and questions seen to, and I would highly recommend them to anybody looking to sell, rent or be a tennant. It was Mica Fant that helped me the most during this process, she was amazing when it came to answering my questions, and getting everything sorted!<br><br>Thanks you guys!

Communication was handled promptly, and I found everyone helpful whenever I needed clarification or assistance. Their organised and friendly approach made the overall experience feel smooth and reassuring. I would happily recommend Burnap + Abel Dover to anyone looking for a dependable estate agent.

After I moved out, the agency made false and exaggerated damage claims — including issues like black mould that I had reported earlier and the landlord refused to fix. Despite multiple reminders, they have still not provided the final inspection report, which is unacceptable and unprofessional. I have full proof of all conversations and the property’s condition. Their handling of the deposit and communication has been extremely poor. I do not recommend this agency.
