I was very impressed with the politeness and professionalism of the two staff members I spoke to. First Saffron who helped me navigate your front door{!}, and then helped me with my enquiry, and also Dylan who helped answer some of my more detailed questions, as he had had experience with regard to these type of retirement properties. I will definitely recommend your estate agents to anyone I speak to. 27th Apr 2026 (12 days ago)I had my first interactions with Ellen Roberts who is new to the company, last week. Her responsiveness was excellent and a breath of fresh air. She promised to come back to me and she did without any follow up. She fully understood what we were trying to achieve . Look forward to working with Ellen going forwards and if this level of client service continues Ellen will definitely be a welcome addition to the team.

24th Mar 2026 (7 weeks ago)We can highly recommend Fine and Country Bishops Stortford. Our first initial contact was with Paula who was extremely professional and knowledgeable. She put us at ease and we felt confident that our sale was in the right hands. Debbie was OUTSTANDING. In what became a complex, difficult sale, she worked tirelessly to resolve all the issues that emerged. She initially introduced our buyers, who had seen our property but weren’t sold on the garden size. She encouraged them to take a look and they fell in love with it. Her communication skills are excellent and she kept us informed every step of the way. I really think that without her relentless input we may have thrown in the towel. The last few days were very stressful with mortgage offers expiring, vendors going back on original agreements and short windows of time, however, Debbie came through for us, even whilst she was ill. Thankyou so much for your effort and hardwork!!!

From start to finish, the team has been consistently punctual, professional, and incredibly supportive, making what can often be a stressful process feel smooth and well?managed. A special thank you goes to Mark, whose service has been outstanding throughout. His patience, attentiveness, and genuine willingness to help made a real difference. Mark’s deep knowledge of both the properties and the local area was invaluable, and he always took the time to answer questions thoroughly and honestly. It’s rare to come across someone so committed to ensuring you feel informed and confident at every step. Overall, Geoffrey Matthew has been fantastic to work with, and I’m truly grateful for the level of care and professionalism they’ve shown. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

12th Nov 2025 (25 weeks ago)My mother sold her house via Julian at James Hayward and we couldn't be more grateful to him and all of the team at James Hayward for the help provided during the experience. Whilst it was a difficult move due to poor solicitors on all sides, Julian went above and beyond to help get things moving through-out the process. He's who you want on your side during such a stressful time. I wouldn't hesistate to recommend them. And thanks again for all the help!

They have guided us expertly through finding tenants and advising us on realistic rental income. Further, they have a team of honest and reliable trades people to help resolve any issues and as a team are extremely well informed, helpful and friendly. On the sales side, they sold a property for us very quickly and recommended solicitors making the whole process stress free and painless. It is the best agency in Harpenden.

23rd Apr 2026 (16 days ago)Useless. They asked me to call a plumber myself when the boiler in our rental unit failed, being just one of many failures we experienced throughout our time there. Currently having to take a landlord they work with to court due to deposit claims, which has only happened because they delayed issuing returns until just after the deadline meaning the free process wasn't available to us, couple this with mistakes in basic maths and misrepresentation of facts paints a very clear painting of a company that's don't know what they're doing. Stay well clear. In response to your follow up, the email in question is from 19/02/2024 from Harvey Simpkins after a phone call. You as real estate agents if you choose to stand by and represent these landlords then this is very much a reflection of your company and values.

I met Joe at the property who was profesional and very down to earth just made the viewing very relaxed. Throughout the sale the whole team stepped in to help through any items - they were always reachable too, so if anybody was on annual leave, Ted, Ed and Peter too were all kept in the loop. Having had a bad buying experience with a previous estate agent, the difference in professional conduct by the whole Peter Cuffaro team was exceptional. Once again thank you to the team and especially Joe for getting the keys in to my hand on completion.
