15th May 2025 (1 year ago)I found Brittons to be the better of the Estate Agents that we dealt with. The others we used were just number crunchers to make their figures look good on paper. Their communication from the start was far superior than all the others.

While I understand agents are busy, a simple text or email to acknowledge my interest would have been appreciated. Goal achieved.- 28th Apr 2026 (17 weeks ago)enquired on a shared ownership property, their advert states its available to purchase with a 5% deposit. And still does currently, this isn't the case as you can never buy a 100% share of the property there are limited lenders who would provide a mortgage and they all require a 10% deposit along with the fees. I had mortgage appointments and was told that it was available with a 5% deposit, was given figures and applied for a mortgage in principal. I was then told that the only option was now a 10% deposit, once i said i couldn't do the 10% deposit contact seized to exist. I have called Kings Lynn branch and Hunstanton branch multiple times and only been able to leave a voicemail with no call back, wrote an email of complaint and was told that the mortgage advisor would be in contact 3 weeks ago. I am still yet to receive a call or an email, i wrote another email of complaint a week ago now and have still had no response. If nothing could be done which i understand, then i would expect at the very least an apology for wasting my time. or an explanation as to why they have continued to advertise the property as being available to buy with a 5% deposit when it is not. I have tried mortgage companies elsewhere and been told the same response about the property only being available to purchase with a 10% deposit as you can never fully own the property. don't waste your time and look at other estate agents, unless you like being ignored or lied to.

6th May 2026 (16 weeks ago)Very unprofessional customer service called on the day house went on the market to request booking for viewing and got my number taking and when called back few days later been told they don’t take bookings already offer on place but couldn’t be bothered to get in touch with me to inform me .

4th Aug 2024 (2 years ago)Property went "live" and we had 2 viewings within 24 hours. Our property sold the following day. Buyers had to wait 6 months to move as we had to wait for our new property to be completed. Progress updated to buyer on regular basis and sale went through generally without bother (a few usual bumps in the road with solicitors, etc) but all completed successfully.- 14th Aug 2026 (9 days ago)Paula and the whole team at Sowerbys were fantastic throughout our house purchase. They were supportive, helpful and consistently kept things moving when the process could easily have stalled. Communication was excellent, and they went above and beyond to keep everything on track. We really appreciated their hard work and would happily recommend Sowerbys to anyone buying or selling a property.

- 14th Aug 2026 (9 days ago)We had a great experience with Alex and would definitely recommend him.<br><br>We had already fallen in love with a property and were prepared to offer £290,000. Alex not only helped us find the right mortgage for our circumstances, but also gave us some really helpful advice with the negotiation. In the end, we managed to agree the purchase for £12,000 less than we were originally prepared to pay!<br><br>What impressed us most was that Alex genuinely wanted to help us, not just arrange the mortgage. He was honest, approachable and always happy to explain things or give advice when we needed it.<br><br>We are now getting close to exchange and couldn’t be happier with how everything has gone. We will definitely recommend Alex to our friends and to anyone in the Downham Market area looking for mortgage advice.<br><br>Thanks again Alex for all your help
