7th Mar 2026 (11 days ago)AWFUL, avoid at all costs. Even if there is a house you are interested in, still avoid not worth the stress one bit. Go elsewhere. I would not even give them 1 star, but I have no choice. The stress they have caused me in my personal life is a utter joke. Never receive a call back, let alone an email response, told me the incorrect information which I have in writing but still not owning up to their mistake. Beth the 'Manager' does not know how to have a professional conversation, talks to everyone like their pal which is so incredibly off putting. Again no accountability from Will Jones, again or any call backs. I even asked for this to be passed over to a Senior Manager and still never received a call back and apparently she looks after 52 branches! They must all be awful. If I ever see the name Chancellors on anything, I will never EVER go anywhere near them and will make sure everyone knows about it. Respectfully it is like a bunch of children are running this business, which is rather sad really. They need training on multiple things and to hire new staff with a proper manner and know what they are doing. Had no choice but to leave this review, as it is IMPOSSIBLE to get hold of them. 2 weeks I have been chasing this up. I have rung 5/6 times this morning first thing when they opened (so no valid reason to not answering - I even tried the sales line too) so I am adamant they are just ignoring my calls on purpose which based on my experience so far, I am probably not wrong about. AVOID!
4th Mar 2026 (14 days ago)We have been a client (indirectly) of Gibson Lane Kingston - as tenants and recently as purchasers. The team have always been super to deal with. They are friendly, professional and diligent in every aspect of the process. We had an unusual delay on the recent purchase which was frustrating for all involved, but the Sales Progression Manager (Wendy Curtis) was simply brilliant in helping us through this. A huge thanks to Wendy and the entire team. I’m more than happy to recommend them.

3rd Mar 2026 (15 days ago)My experience of Barnard Marcus sales working with Yvette White was that she is proactive and faster than other estate agents in getting your paperwork ready and your property on the market. From start to finish, she gets things done. She kept the sale moving at every stage and did not let delays stall progress. When issues came up, she addressed them quickly and pushed for clear outcomes. She coordinated closely with the solicitors and both parties, ensuring communication stayed focused and completion stayed on track. Her persistence and drive made the process smoother and less stressful. If you want an agent who takes action and delivers results, I would highly recommend her.
21st Feb 2026 (25 days ago)Ignored my email request for a viewing.<br><br>Spammed me with unsuitable properties.<br><br>Randomly asked me if I wanted to let my house.<br><br>Went to view a house through them, agent didn't turn up, didn't answer the phone and didn't tell me the house was off the market (as I subsequently found out via Rightmove).<br><br>Clowns.

Every issue we reported, big or small, was addressed promptly, including a significant drainage problem that was resolved quickly and efficiently. We were fortunate to have not only kind and thoughtful landlords but also a team of responsive, honest and professional people at HJC to call on. A special thank you to Manique, who was always on hand to provide support and answer any queries without delay, plus it was always lovely to see her in person. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend HJC Surbiton whether you’re looking to rent a property from them, or need a reliable team to manage your own. Alex was extremely communicative and supportive, helping to navigate through some challenging complexities with HelpToBuy and the flats Management companies. This was handled with professionalism and knowledge, helping to make the process as stress free as possible. We are so grateful for both Mark and Alex for everything they did and all their hard work. 28th Feb 2026 (18 days ago)I was searching for a rental property in Surbiton for my daughter, and we had a VERY specific set of requirements that many estate agents were struggling to meet - or they they just didn't seem engaged! After speaking with Winkworth Surbiton, they stood out immediately—their customer experience was on an entirely different level, and they delivered on every detail we asked for. From the very first conversation to the final handover, the whole process was smooth, transparent, and exceptionally well?communicated. There was never a moment where I felt out of the loop or unsure of the next step. Everything was handled with a level of care detail that made everything stress free and effortless. A special mention must go to Ryan, whose professionalism and engagement were outstanding throughout. He made the entire tenancy process incredibly easy, anticipating questions before they arose and ensuring every stage was handled with precision and clarity. 18th Mar 2024 (1 year ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

We were fortunate to be assigned Mariam, she handled everything as if she were renting the home herself, not just facilitating it for us. She guided us at every step of the process with genuine care and professionalism. Even team members who weren’t directly handling our case, like Mikey and Salma, stepped in to offer guidance and support. Overall, a very positive and reassuring experience.

2nd Mar 2026 (16 days ago)I can highly recommend Foxtons Twickenham branch. After a sale with another agent fell through, Foxtons was able to secure a new buyer quickly for my freehold property in Richmond. Francis Wilson managed the sale after the offer was agreed and did so with great expertise and dedication. Complicated by the fact that I live in the Netherlands and my solicitor struggled with this sale, Francis kept stepping up, keeping things moving. Five deserved stars!

Aidan went out of his way to facilitate things, especially helping my mum who is 82, taking things round for her to sign, and visiting the property on a Sunday to make sure everything was in place.
