30th Sep 2026 (27 days ago)Would give 0 stars if I could.<br><br>My experience with KFH has been an absolute nightmare.<br><br>I moved into a property in January and was completely unaware beforehand that it had significant damp and mould. Once I discovered it, I repeatedly reported the issues to KFH and their property management team. Despite numerous emails, follow-ups and maintenance visits, the underlying damp was never properly addressed.<br><br>I was repeatedly reassured by people connected to the landlord that there was nothing wrong with the property, despite the problems I was experiencing. Even KFH staff told me that “no one had raised it before”, despite the bedroom smelling so strongly of damp that it felt like an underground aquarium. Communication from KFH was also extremely poor, with very slow responses which left me constantly having to chase for updates.<br><br>Eventually, the property became uninhabitable and I had no choice but to move out and pay for alternative accommodation, resulting in thousands of pounds of additional costs and losses.<br><br>I paid for an independent damp and mould inspection myself, which confirmed the property had significant damp and mould. Despite this, I still had to leave the property.<br><br>What makes the situation even more frustrating is that £750 of my deposit has now been awarded to the landlord, despite everything that happened during the tenancy. I find this completely unacceptable given the circumstances and KFH made no attempt to resolve the situation and protected a very corrupt landlord.<br><br>This has been ongoing since January and has caused an enormous amount of stress. I have ultimately decided to walk away from pursuing the matter further for the sake of my own sanity.<br><br>I would never ever use KFH again based on my experience. I would STRONGLY advise anyone considering renting through them to think very carefully. The way this situation was handled was extremely disappointing, from the branch I dealt with right through to head office and area manager.<br><br>AVOID!!- 20th Aug 2026 (10 weeks ago)A huge thank you to Miles Roberts and the team. Miles helped my family and I get into our dream home in West Hampstead. Having had many estate agent experiences in the past, that were not so great, Miles was refreshing, professional and a genuinely lovely chap. Thank you once again Miles from me and my family.
16th Oct 2026 (11 days ago)Chestertons Islington is, without question, the worst company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. The sheer incompetence, appalling communication and complete lack of accountability throughout our experience have been genuinely astonishing.<br><br>Our tenancy and moving-out process was an absolute nightmare. We incurred approximately £4,000 in additional costs, spent countless hours chasing emails and attempting to resolve issues, and were subsequently faced with further disputes over what we consider to be completely unreasonable deposit deductions.<br><br>What makes this experience particularly infuriating is the apparent unwillingness to acknowledge mistakes or take meaningful responsibility for resolving them. The amount of time, money and energy we have wasted dealing with Chestertons is frankly ridiculous. For a company that markets itself as a reputable, high-end estate agency, the standard of service we received was nothing short of disgraceful.<br><br>The only exception has been Alhad, who has been helpful throughout an otherwise horrendous experience.<br><br>I cannot stress enough how strongly I would advise anyone against using Chestertons Islington- AND CHESTERTONS AS A WHOLE. I have genuinely never encountered such consistently poor service from any company. An extraordinarily expensive, stressful and exhausting experience that I would not wish on anyone.<br><br>Avoid at all costs.

I experienced him to be well mannered, professional and accommodating throughout. I would highly recommend this company to others seeking a new home.
17th Oct 2026 (10 days ago)Avoid these estate agents.<br><br>In my experience, they appear far more concerned about landlords than the tenants who pay their fees indirectly through their rent.<br><br>I moved into a supposedly luxury‘new-build’ flat that was filthy, damaged and excessively overheated. The conditions were so bad that they affected my health. Throughout my 13-month tenancy, I was repeatedly given excuses, misled and left chasing the company to resolve ongoing issues.<br><br>I had over a dozen visits from various tradesmen attempting to fix major problems with the flat, yet the whole experience was incredibly stressful and frustrating.<br><br>Despite requesting the landlord’s contact details in writing at the start of my tenancy, they refused to provide them. When it came to the return of my deposit, which should have been dealt with within 10 days under the terms of my tenancy agreement, I did not receive it until day 24, after having to chase them repeatedly.<br><br>What I find particularly frustrating is that they are very quick to send reminders when rent is due, yet getting a timely response or having legitimate tenant concerns addressed is an entirely different matter.<br><br>Based on my experience, I would strongly advise prospective tenants to think carefully before renting through this company. 12th Oct 2026 (15 days ago)1/5 – Unprofessional handling of tenant funds<br><br>Extremely disappointed with Starside Estates. I moved out nearly a month ago, yet they are delaying the refund of my rent overpayment. Despite acknowledging the issue and promising it would be treated as an urgent priority, they have failed to release the money or provide clear answers.<br><br>Avoid if you expect professional service and timely accounting.

My agent was responsive and helpful at first, but after I declined to make an offer on a property I couldn't view (the current tenants weren't allowing tours), he stopped replying entirely. I followed up several times over a few weeks and never heard back. That was disappointing, especially since I've had much better experiences with Foxtons branches elsewhere in London.
