30th Oct 2025 (20 weeks ago)Recently bought a new build in Marton, Spicerhaart are selling on behalf of E5. Dealt with new build Sales Director Graham Lang who said he would make the process as smooth as possible. Sadly it could not have been further from the truth the process was very poor communication wise, once they had our deposit for the new build they were not interested. Graham does not respond to emails or phone calls and speaking to other occupiers on the site it seems they have all had exceptionally poor service from Graham. Avoid this agent whether buying or selling they are only interested in your money, they don’t care about you as a person.

They offered to put the house up for sale at the price 30K higher than Frank Innes and Haart suggested, and did sell the house for the asking price. Michael Sahota was very helpful and professional, and always replied to email promptly.
16th Feb 2026 (4 weeks ago)Had a viewing booked for a one bedroom furnished apartment, I took time off from work and went under pouring rain to view it. Was surprised once I got there that the flat the agent was there to show me is a 2 bedroom and unfurnished apartment. Once I told him that this isn’t the flat I enquired for he said that the other one have been rented since 3 months even though it was advertised as available 4 days ago. A complete waste of time

23rd May 2025 (9 mo. ago)Whilst the service up to sale agreed was fine after that limited if any progress, no sense of urgency, no keeping clients up to date Dates for completion kept being put back Resorted to speaking to my solicitor as MM were hopeless No update at all the week of completion so if it was left to them I wouldn’t know whether I was supposed to be completing today

8th Mar 2019 (7 years ago)Awful and a complete waste of time, we were running slightly late because of really bad traffic so had pushed our viewing back to 5pm and arrived at the property a few minutes before hand, we went to see if someone was in the property but no answer so called the agent back to which they said "we waited till 5 but we're now back at the office so we'd have to rearrange" I was curious as I said to the agent it's actually 5pm now so how did someone stick around till 5? They then hung up ..... Safe to say I feel bad for whoever is selling that property as this is horrific service. I'm not best pleased that it took us 45 mins to get there to be let down. I will not be wasting my time with that company again
3rd Jan 2022 (4 years ago)I have only very good things to say about this lovely company. If you are looking for a property to rent then I highly recommend Smith & Co. There's a lot of bad landlords out there but in my experience of renting a property from Smith & Co for many, many years now, I can truly say that you wouldn't go far wrong to rent from this caring, compassionate, understanding, professional and considerate company! I have had many wonderful, trouble free years' renting from Smith & Co. To be honest, I really wouldn't want to rent from anyone else now. Sara and her team are all so lovely! After many years I feel like I'm part of one big Smith & Co family! Top notch!

19th Nov 2023 (2 years ago)We've had a fantastic experience using the "Home Away" Company to rent a house.We recently moved to the UK and "Home Away" gave us professional and prompt service to find a house.After rental , they give excellent service and give quick response to any inquiries. I was very sceptical when I signed up to use "Home Away" because the costs involved left other rental agencies standing. The process was trouble free from start to finish. The helpful guides, reminders, prompts and signposting made for a smooth journey. You can’t go wrong using "Home Away". They far surpass my expectations. Our experience with the management team has been great since the beginning. Mr. Adithya and his team are very helpful and responsive and they are trying their very best to provide a great service

Then throughout the process Matt helped provide updates and the solicitors were great. Fantastic deal experience I will be recommending to everyone and coming back if I want to sell!

17th Nov 2021 (4 years ago)After 9 weeks on the market, 0 viewings, 0 offers. Little to no communication, I had to chase to find out what was going on. Terrible service. Abysmal! After 10 weeks, I moved to David James (emailed Belvoir to remove property and no response), within 5 DAYS I have 10 viewings. I was also advised by David James that Belvoir photos were drastically inadequate. Do not ever use Belvoir under any circumstances. They will not respond to you and when they do, they will suggest lowering price as they are too inept to do any work. My experience for my view - I am a landlord and have bought, sold and rented over 15 properties. Pretty familiar with levels of service. Please don't use them to sell.
27th Feb 2026 (20 days ago)May have been the market conditions but minimal viewings were booked. Many of which were no shows or cancellations on the day. Not the fault of the estate agent, however there was no adjustment to the online profile at any point to refresh the advert. Nothing posted on socials that I’m aware of either.

2nd Mar 2026 (17 days ago)Worked with Adam Hardcastle on a very time-sensitive deal that needed to be completed within 3 days. Adam was brilliant, highly professional, proactive, and extremely competent throughout. He has a clear understanding of more complex strategies that many agents either don’t understand or avoid, such as Rent-to-Rent, Company Let Agreements, and HMOs ect More importantly, Adam went well beyond standard working and office hours, negotiating back and forth late into the night between multiple parties to ensure the deal got over the line. We work with a lot of people in property, and it’s individuals like Adam who actually make things happen. He’s a real asset to the company — this deal simply wouldn’t have completed without him.
