I generally had a good experience with this agency. Solving problems and making inquiries were always smooth. However, one of their agents (Ebony) brought a potential new tenant to visit my flat without my permission, when I was on holidays. I did not appreciate that and she never apologised, just ignored my emails.... I contacted Edward who apologised later. I have also explicitly asked to keep my letters during the transition period but never got any information about them, even knowing that some letters have arrived (got simultaneously by email). If I could give 0 star, I would. Absolutely unprofessional, disrespectful, cheap & discriminative service that this agency provides. Home owners pay them to have a part of full service. The tenants will have to deal with their own reference checks etc. as the agency is washing their hands when it comes to doing anything that they are getting paid for. After being passed onto a referencing agency who couldn't do their job properly, (which I now believe happened in collaboration with the agent of DPR as they didn't want to give us the flat ) we've been asked to get in touch with a 3rd party agency to sort out the problem. Why would you use two 3rd parties to do your reference checks? Later on the agent made is seem like it was all our fault (that their agency couldn't reference us properly) and they ahed contacted the landlord and suggested him not to go ahead with us. In all honesty, you guys better make a call to Trading Standards as well - I reported them already.The more of us the better.... Read more

I have been looking for an apartment in London and it hasn’t been easy given how quickly the rental market moves. I worked with Ellesse from Johns and Co. who has been lovely to work with. We’ve had a very positive experience with Waterfronts, particularly Mas. He has been involved from the outset, when he first showed us the flat, and has remained consistently engaged throughout, always included in communications and clearly overseeing matters with care and attention. The flat itself has also been excellent, which has made the whole experience all the more positive. Now, two years on, we’ve just completed an inspection with Mas, which was handled in a professional yet relaxed and friendly manner. It made what can sometimes be an uncomfortable process feel straightforward and at ease. It was also striking that he remembered small personal details about us, from meeting family members to our hobbies, something that is quite rare and much appreciated. He has always been flexible with timings and accommodating of our work schedules, which made a real difference. The wider team have also been excellent, responsive, professional, and knowledgeable. Gary was a nice guy. The apartment is beautifully presented and should draw interest. The photos had to be done twice due to quality and major plan errors- they knocked 25% off the sq footage! The whole thing felt like there was no selling strategy. Place on the portals and wait for interest, which doesn’t work in this tough market. It was myself that pushed for a price decrease, which brought in 1 viewing in 8 weeks. I was told that the market was stilted and the heatwave meant people were not buying. I believe it was priced wrongly, there was no selling or dynamic marketing strategy. When I initially advised I wanted to leave after 5 weeks, the colleague, Yusuf basically talked over me for 30 mins and finally agreed to reduce the property price. I had been pushing to reduce it from 2 weeks! There was no sense that I was a client. My partner listened in on that call and was surprised at the attitude of Yusuf- not one apology for wrong price or zero communication! I kept pushing for updates but they never really called - it’s because they were not strategically selling it I suspect and were afraid to tell me. It seems to evidence their lack of dynamism. The whole process was a waste of my time unfortunately. I have now gone on with another agent and it already feels more professional. What I don’t understand is- they came up as the top agent on this site, which does not add up- that is not my experience at all.... Read more

Ivy & Stone seem like a lovely estate agent and I really like the properties they have available. My only feedback would be regarding the website, as I personally find it quite difficult to navigate and a little unclear in places. It can sometimes feel a bit all over the place when trying to find particular information. I think a slightly simpler and more organised layout would make such a difference and make the overall experience much easier for potential tenants/buyers.
