5th Dec 2022 (3 years ago)Disappointing experience. We unfortunately entered the market just as the economy was crashing into recession. However we chose Churchill because of their long standing local presence and thought they would provide an excellent service. We found them old fashioned and disjointed e.g. no 360 degrees online presentation of our house, we had to point out out that the published photos were originally missing a room, they was a complete lack of diversity in their agents (of which we had to deal with 3 different men although the area manager had said we would only be dealing with him) the different agents didn’t appear to have pre-read the information we had provided about our house before the viewings and there was a general lack of ongoing communication. In the end we only had two viewings before we ended the contract after 4 weeks.
13th May 2026 (10 weeks ago)Well we are coming to the end of our 2 year rental through them. We have been paying way over average for their services but that was our choice. 15pct per month for rent collection only ! That even includes the month where they forgot to pay the rent when it was due because the person was on holiday and thought it was still Sunday ! REALLY !! Zero visits to the property in 2 years for this amount of commission as well ! WOW. Anyway we are at the end of our fixed 2 year period and we want to change agents. We still have the same tenant but unlike 90pct of other agents it turns out Terra Cotta don't have a termination option and they are above Trading Standards. Long and short of it is we will go legal now but my advice is use agents who don't think they own you. We will be selling in 18 months and these people have ruled themselves out of that selection process for sure. Extortionate fees for well below average service

The staff at the Winkworth office are all very professional and work with you to achieve the right sale for the property with the right level of support throughout the process. They ARE NOT the pushy irritating Estate Agents I experienced when selecting the right one to work with. From start to finish I found the service provided by both James and Daryl first class. Thank you very much- 26th Jan 2026 (26 weeks ago)I'm posting this review here as Winkworth is trying to take my truthful review down on TrustPilot. I have hundreds of screenshots willing to prove the terrible service I received as a tenant and to prove all the harassment as they would incessantly email from multiple people from the same office. I wouldn't be posting yet another complaint if they didn't report my review for a second time, but they've forced my hand. They serve section 21 eviction notices left and right before it is entirely legal (based on the timeframe, they do it pre emptively to the 2 month threashhold, and did so in my case). They tried entering my property without giving 24 hour notice multiple times outside the 2 month allowance timeframe. It took the team 4.5 months to return my entire deposit. I had to contact TDS and even go through legal avenues in order to receive my undisputed deposit. A shoutout to the terrible Bradley Whitehead, Sibel Camci and last but certainly least as in she is the bane of the Shepherd's Bush rental market, the lazy & entitled Daisie Lander. These three are chancers at best, reaping profits off of rentals that aren't legally fit to be rented and keeping deposits to record profits. They also "heavy suggest" that tenants use only one cleaner they refer us. The fear of losing more of our deposit is real and something they regularly enforce from what I've seen. This is illegal to enforce in the UK and because of the vague way that they suggest us to use their recommended cleaner, people cannot place this forward as a formal complaint. That said, I can note that they only suggest one cleaner. This office uses every underhanded manner to torture their tenants and make upper class professionals feel like criminals who should feel so lucky to have a tenancy. I've heard multiple complaints about Daisie when finding my next rental and get why some people don't want women to work, they're all thinking of her in particular. Lazy, entitled, and constantly out of office, I can personally show all the times she was out of office when I sent her an email. Though that's just the beginning of this tale, from strange agents coming into my apartment without any warning and claiming they were "new" (high turnover I see), to receiving several emails everyday regarding rentals for 4-5 weeks straight after I received my section 21 eviction as a standard harassment tactic, this isn't the office you want to work with or be renting from.

28th Sep 2025 (9 mo. ago)A few things which we were promised which they didn’t deliver on, we went with this estate agent because they said they’d have multiple offices working on our property, but it ended up being just one office in a different area to where we were selling. We were there for some of the viewings and they didn’t know answers to basic questions which we know we had given them information for

They were instrumental in getting things over the line, and I truly cannot thank them enough. While the process itself was far from easy and not something I’d want to go through again, having the Baker and Chase team by my side made all the difference. 4th Jun 2024 (2 years ago)Slow to give feedback on viewings. I had to chase after a couple of days but improved when I complained. Some rushed viewings . One agent arrived and said it had to be quick and she had asked the buyer to come earlier. Another told a late buyer asked to come at 8.45am on arrival that they only had 15 minutes so it would be a quick look . We were told they had a large database of buyers but I wonder if just relying on the property listings and their database algorithms to find people was enough. They did offer us a premium listing months later when I asked what else could be done and this generated viewings . Unable to arrange one second viewing and blamed staff absence for not contacting the buyer when I rang up a week later and the buyer did not return their call. People not getting back to them happened a lot . We were never shown any evidence of their contacts with people . It's a shame as they understood the market and provided a lot of information about why viewings were sparse due to external factors.Pleasant staff with good local knowledge. We gave them a long period as it was a tough time to sell but did decide to find another agent in the end as they did not seem that proactive .

7th Nov 2024 (1 year ago)No. Just no. Constant trespassing on property by teens, old enough to know better, have led us to complain - to no avail.l, so must go civil, apparently. They wait until we are not home, throwing balls at house, or playing on our patio, uninvited and while we are out, until one of them gets hurt on our owned property, we are left responsible. Countless emails to this agent, and videos. Was asked by police if I wanted to file a formal report and said no, thinking this agent would be reasonable as in, how would he like it if this were happening to him? A decision I regret, but now see this is harassment of us, as two older women living together, alone, perhaps, to regard us with interpreted LGBT discrimination? Or probably seen as vulnerable? Not sure which…because I cannot understand why an agent wouldn’t want to ensure the peace and safety of surrounding properties, and their owners. Makes no sense. Also, These are Not children - teens, old enough to know better. Tried speaking, kindly, to one of the mothers of these kids only to be sworn at for all neighbourhood to hear. Sent to agent - nothing. Rules for freehold property ownership not being upheld, and intimidation and harassment of two older women living alone.

5th Sep 2023 (2 years ago)The team were very friendly and helpful. It wasn’t a good time to sell but they set our expectations and kept us in the loop an appropriate amount. We couldn’t sell so it is hard to judge the agents’ performance across the whole process. The viewings we had were not particularly productive - a few of them could have been avoided by some simple questions about budget and some information about the house and area, which would have saved us the stress of a pointless viewing.

14th Mar 2025 (1 year ago)I wanted to personally thank Toby Caufield for his assistance in resolving a dispute with the seller of a property I recently purchased in Deal. The dispute was nothing to do with Colebrook Sturrock and thus he would have been well within his rights to ignore the issue at hand but he didn't and went the extra mile to assist. I will certainly purchase from them again in the future and highly recommend to others.
