I can't even put into words how let down and completely shocked we have been at the treatment from this man.

I found them to be very professional, knowledge and they have me some great tips in order to finally sell my home. We went ahead with Big Black Hen and there suggestions and hey presto, our house sold. Ive since recommend Big Black Hen to my friends and family. Great service

He responded promptly to all our queries and kept us updated at every stage. Oliver also communicated effectively with the sellers’ solicitors, which really helped the process move smoothly and gave us peace of mind. His professionalism and support were truly appreciated. We would definitely recommend Connells Estate Agents, especially Oliver, for anyone buying a property.
10th Mar 2026 (8 weeks ago)Robert Michael Estate Agents handled the recent sale of our house in Thundersley. They provided advice on realistic pricing and marketed the property well, securing interest and negotiating a very fair offer. When we encountered a problem with a severe water leak during the cold weather in January, our Agent, Dean Ellis, played a key role in getting the property repaired while retaining the buyer's interest. Dean really went the extra mile for us, arranging contractors, allowing contractor access to the property for us and monitoring/ emptying the dehumidifiers as it dried out. Thanks to Dean the sale was completed on 9th March.

22nd May 2021 (4 years ago)If I could of put 0 stars I would of Pointless for this place to be up and running NO ONE and I mean no one ever replies to your emails, they advertise properties yet do not reply when your requesting a viewing Rude ignorant people do not waste your time with them.
10th Jan 2026 (17 weeks ago)AVOID! Utter incompetent timewasters. They want to rent your property out without sharing RIGHT TO RENT reports of potential tenants. This report shows whether a tenant has passed the Affordability & income check. Why is this important? If the tenant decides to stop paying rent, you can claim the rent back from your Landlord insurance's Rent protection service. If the tenant failed the check and you still rented it out to them, you would be paying the mortage while getting no rent. It was frustating dealing with them. They would not share the reports of potential tenants after multiple requests and then went quiet all of a sudden. I lost out on a month's rent! Their managing director is an absolute bell end and she needs to learn some manners on how to deal with clients. Clients are paying you love, you are not doing things for free. EDIT : in response to what they have replied to my review : I did not realize that reviews could only be left at certain times! Let's talk about "it became clear that the expectations being placed on us did not align with our moral, responsible and professional standards as a regulated agency." So, a landlord has no right to see the full Right to rent report but still has to blindly sign an agreement with a tenant in your delusional universe? I am not sure which regulatory body you are a member of because I would surely love to have a word about your establishment's incompetency with them. This is the type of estate agent that will quickly get you a tenant, collect the fees and then hightail it and when the tenant stops paying rent, they then pretend they never even heard of you. I am glad things did not materialize with them. If you are a landlord, run as fast as you can.

26th Apr 2026 (12 days ago)I would recommend St George’s homes to anyone needing an estate agent - we had to sell a property in Rayleigh remotely and Darren and his team went over and above, recommending local services and going to the house for us - they were prompt responsive and super helpful throughout. .

7th May 2026 (1 day ago)Delaney's are a local agency who were able to get me a buyer quickly and I had an offer within a month of putting my property on the market. They kept me updated throughout the process and were a good link for direct contact with the buyer. Their prices were also very competitive. I would recommend them and be happy to use them again.

20th Nov 2025 (24 weeks ago)Moved out on 1st of November from a property managed by Lordsons. One month notice was given, as per my contract, and yet deposit is still to be returned by them, even if they had landlord’s confirmation to return in full. Not responding to calls or e-mails and now their website is no longer active. I suspect they never held my deposit in a protection scheme as I cannot find it on any of the main ones. Searching on the internet, it seems like they were banned by Southend Council in 2024. Stay way clear from this con agency!! I suspect a lot more people are or will be in the same position as I am!!

29th Dec 2025 (19 weeks ago)This is the only Estate Agents that i can genuinely say care about their clients as well as the landlords! Our current landlord used Oakheart when we moved into his property and the guys were so helpful, (i did a review then as I was so impressed!). We are now moving back to Surrey and our landlord has used Oakheart once again. I have been liaising with Minty regarding viewings via email; she has been so friendly, kind and considerate especially with viewings around the busy Xmas period. She hasn't been demanding and has worked around our shift work schedule (Train Driver), when it comes to booking people to view the property. It is so refreshing for existing tenants to be treated with kindness as well as possible new tenants and the landlords. Thank you Minty and Oakheart! Happy New Year x
