8th Mar 2026 (17 weeks ago)Instructed Peter Heron to market by 2 bed apartment. Initially there were very few viewings and when I rang to query this I was told that I had it on the market at too high a price and asked if I wanted to reduce the asking price! At this point in time my property had only been on the market for less than a month!! I persevered and after a couple of months did reduce the asking price but still not much interest. The final straw was them marketing the flat next door to me in the same block for £10k less than my property. No courtesy heads up on this, and when I expressed my unhappiness they weren't interested, so I gave notice to remove my property from the market. I did look into whether this was a conflict of interests and apparently it can be viewed as such. Amazingly I started getting viewings, but these viewers were also viewing the lower priced neighbouring flat. Problem now was the inability of Peter Heron to obtain any feedback from these viewers except for a small minority, despite Peter Heron staff actually providing accompanied viewings for these viewers. That flat has now sold as it was reduced by a further £10k (landlord owned so able to take a lower price) so I assume they were able to gather feedback successfully for that property, and annoyingly when I went to retrieve my keys from them and mentioned that it was impossible to sell my flat with such a big price difference they were again uninterested and didn't even tell me that the neighbouring flat had been sold that day. Would never use them again or recommend them to anyone.

15th Feb 2022 (4 years ago)Booked a viewing on the Friday for, Saturday the next day. I rang the office 4 times with no response and nobody turned up for the viewing, so I travelled and paid for parking for no reason.

My appreciation goes to Scott who met me at my property and gave a very informative overview of the rental market and knowledge of the local area and also Lindsey from the Sarah Mains office who provided me with informative updates regarding the viewings and tenant. 19th Feb 2026 (19 weeks ago)They offered advice on valuation that matched our expectations, they put it on the market at the value we wanted. We had viewings constantly whilst it was on the market. They advised us to keep taking viewings after offer accepted until we were sale agreed. This resulted in a higher bid, so it was worth it. Only negative was the amount of Photoshop used in photos.

3rd Jul 2025 (1 year ago)Since this company has been taken over in 2024 it has lost its professionalism and customer service. The previous team of Brian & Neil were excellent but now the staff won't return calls or emails and still owe me £150 since last Dec which they promised to pay but never have. Very poor.

Carla is extremely good at her job, with advice and negotiation. I would recommend Hegarties at Houghton.
