1st May 2026 (7 days ago)We needed a valuation for probate, and West Coast properties seems very popular so we chose to ask them to do this for us. Our contact was Jack and he was very helpful and knowledgeable about the properties in our area, they have also sold many locally. We had to reschedule at first but Jack was really helpful and accommodating with another appointment. Jack attended promptly at the time agreed, had a good look around at everything, explained to me how the valuation was worked out and gave me information to have a look at regarding this. The valuation letter was emailed very quickly within an hour, we are really happy with the valuation and the service we have received from Jack and West Coast properties. Would definitely use again if and when needed, and would highly recommend.

Karen did an amazing job negotiating, Elliot wrote such a lovely write up and Stevie managed everything right up to the end and kept it all on track. Thank you to you all.

29th Oct 2025 (6 mo. ago)From the valuation right up until being SSTC (which we are at present so cannot comment any further as I don’t have a crystal ball!) Sam has been absolutely fantastic. He was very honest during the valuation, did not try to pressure sell us, and allowed us to come back to him in our own time after obtaining other valuations. We felt it was an honest and fair valuation that had market evidence to back it up. Sam set up a WhatsApp group which was so helpful for quick communication, and we managed to sell our house in 2 weeks. He also helped us with knowing what and how to offer on our next property, which we have now secured. Even still through the sale process Sam and the team are always on hand if our buyers have any questions for us, or we have any questions in general. He was also a great help in helping us find decent local solicitors. Very smooth process so far - far above expectations.

6th Jan 2019 (7 years ago)I have been letting my property as landlord through this agency for over eleven years.U live overseas and am a distance landlord but I do not feel my tenants miss out. Blocks and Barlow source me nice tenants and I respect the advice they give me.

Unfortunately I guess my property being a “Holiday flat” was not the right time to sell during the Autumn/Winter….. I have now other means of moving to my permanent property and hope to be settled soon…. This property may well be rented till we find out what we will be doing…….

We had a long drawn out buying and selling process for various reasons and we were supported all of the way by Joseph who went above and beyond and of course the rest of the team. 19th Nov 2025 (24 weeks ago)We just recently moved from Bristol to Cheddar. Laurel & Wylde weren't our estate agents but they were for our purchase. Jane May was excellent from start to finish she kept us updated (not only us the whole chain). I do believe if it wasn't for Jayne the move might not of happened. A massive thank you Jayne. If anyone is looking for help in selling & moving Laurel & Wylde are an absolute must 10 out of 10.
2nd Sep 2025 (8 mo. ago)Cooper and Tanner Lettings Ltd were employed by our Landlord to oversee the serving of a section 21 notice (submitted for no reason by the landlord other than he wanted to raise the rent by 25%). This was delayed as we had to involve environmental health due to damp, mould, rats and broken hinges on windows. Caroline Peebles-Brown was initially supportive, stating that we had done our best to maintain the property and it was in much better condition than the landlord had suggested - although the landlord (Colin Leach) had not redcorated, recarpeted or repaired any of the property for our 9 year tenure. She also confirmed that any damage to colouring of the walls was due to age and not nicotine (neither of us smoked). Her stance soon changed and we felt that she had been devious in her initial approach with us. The section 21 notice was issued as soon as possible (after a long list of jobs to be completed had been submitted by environmental health). Both my housemate and I are clased as vulnerable due to illness and this was never considered or taken into account. Having no choice but to request a subject access request regarding the use of our personal data, we received copies of specific emails between Caroline and the landlord, colluding together regarding the return of our deposit. Although this company acted as our agents for only a short period (and I believe no longer act on behalf of the landlord), they were deceitful, inconsiderate, more concerned with completing the list of jobs given to them by enviromental health than considering our mental health (we had workmen arrive at short notice and on the weekends) and were unprofessional. If you are a tenant looking to rent a property through this company, I would wait until the new legislation comes in, early next year.

His agency stands out from the rest due to his highly personal service; we spoke with or saw only him so felt super confident he was fully engaged and invested in our sale at all times. His comms were also excellent, as were his problem-solving skills and professional partners. The photography was outstanding, with much thought taken in both the planning and execution. Highly recommended!
21st Apr 2026 (17 days ago)Based on my experience, I wouldn’t recommend, especially if you are renting through them. I’m really disappointed with my experience. The people I’ve spoken to have always come across as polite and approachable, which made me feel initially reassured. However, that hasn’t been reflected in how my situation has actually been handled. My main issue is with my deposit. It has now been over 2 months, and I am still waiting for a proper response or resolution despite following up multiple times. This has been frustrating and stressful, especially as it feels like there’s a lack of urgency in dealing with something that matters a lot to me. Each time I call, I’m directed to the lettings team, but they often seem unaware of my case or any previous communication, even after I’ve been in touch repeatedly. This shows a clear lack of internal communication and coordination. It’s disappointing because the conversations themselves feel positive, but the follow-through just isn’t there. I was expecting a more efficient and transparent service.
9th Oct 2025 (6 mo. ago)If you’re a student, I’d seriously think twice before renting with this agency. From the start, the flat was handed over in a poor condition but labelled “professionally cleaned.” Then when we moved out, they tried to hit us with an absurd cleaning fee on top of everything else. When I pushed back, they shifted the blame instead of taking responsibility. Thankfully, the independent deposit adjudicator ruled in our favour, which pretty much says everything about how fair their claim really was. The whole thing was way more stressful than it needed to be. If you end up/already are renting through them, document absolutely everything, keep records and don’t be scared to challenge unfair charges. And I’m clearly not the only one — a quick look at the other 1* reviews says a lot. Honestly — if you can, just rent somewhere else.

14th Feb 2025 (1 year ago)I used House of Jackson removals (part of Charles Barnard estate agents) to transport all of my belongings to my new home. Communication before, during and after was excellent, and the team were lovely, which is what you need when dealing with the stress of moving house! They turned up at the time that was agreed and were fully equipped for the job. They treated all my belongings with respect, as well as taking care when manoeuvring around tight corners and up and down the stairs. They went above and beyond to help with my move, ensuring that everything was unloaded into the correct rooms and didn’t leave until I was happy that everything was where it was supposed to be. The cost was significantly cheaper than other companies. They provided a top quality service for a more than reasonable price. I would highly recommend House of Jackson as a removal service and will definitely be using them for all moves in the future. Thank you Luke, Marcus and Brandon!

His genuine honesty, regular updates and clear communication made a real difference during what could easily have been a stressful experience. Tom consistently went above and beyond to keep things moving and to make sure we were informed at every stage. That level of effort and professionalism does not go unnoticed, and it made the whole journey far easier for us. In the end, it was absolutely worth it, and a big part of that is down to Tom’s dedication and support throughout the process.
