21st Aug 2024 (1 year ago)The house we are selling was bought through Whitegates Cleckheaton and had found them very helpful , so when we put it up for sale we went back to the them. After 10 months and a variety of "problems" [being asked to conduct viewing ourselves, not getting constructive feedback etc] we reluctantly cancelled with them .

Oliver and the team went the extra mile and even showed me a property on a Sunday as I work full time a weekends just so I didn’t miss out! I spent 5 very happy years in a home in York thanks to Stephensons would recommend them to anyone first time every time ??????

2nd Sep 2025 (10 mo. ago)I do feel that they need to have social media platforms to promote properties like most agents do. Also there is no shop to go in or for them to advertise the brochure etc. there way of working g may work for some for houses that will sell quickly but not for me.
23rd Jul 2024 (1 year ago)Knowledgeable estate agent with good understanding of local market. Valuation was spot on with offer received within 2 days. Advertising material was very good. Communication with staff members was good. Estate Agent did not always provide updates via Property Portal thus requiring chaser phone calls that could have been avoided. Fair value for money as prooerty sold so quickly and they had little work to do. Even had to conduct our own viewings as staff not available at appointment times.

Each member of the team went over and above to ensure my purchase was seamless, and kept me informed at every stage. They were professional, courteous and made my first house purchase memorable for all the right reasons. Can't thank them enough!

11th Jan 2026 (25 weeks ago)BE CAREFUL IF YOU OR YOUR NEIGHBOUR USES PAISLEY PROPERTIES - They posted a photo of our vehicle with the registration clearly visible, it appeared on the listing for a neighbouring property. It was published on their website and social media. Our vehicle was parked on our private property, not visible from the roadside and accessed via a privately owned driveway. The photo featured along with our complete address details. We had to ask several times for it to be removed, we complained in writing and their response was that they would not communicate with us about this issue.No acknowledgment of their error, no explanation as to how it had occurred and no apology. Absolutely disgusting and unprofessional and this was the business owner.

From the moment our property went on the market to the day we collected the keys to our new home, their support was incredible. Moving house can be an emotional and stressful experience, but they were there every step of the way, keeping us informed, answering our questions, and helping to keep everything moving smoothly. Their communication, professionalism, and dedication gave us real confidence throughout the entire process. What stood out most was how much they genuinely cared. We never felt like just another client; they took the time to understand our situation and were always on hand with advice, updates, and reassurance when we needed it most. Thanks to all their hard work, we are now settled into our new home and couldn’t be happier. Received an appointment to view a flat very quickly and had confirmation that we were successful in securing the flat the next morning. Very efficient, excellent service, extremely friendly and helpful!
14th May 2026 (8 weeks ago)Speaking as a seller, the service from Harvey Brooks was professional and productive, in that a buyer was already on the books and looking for a house like ours. This was great. Selling can be a painful and frustrating business but HB managed to keep us informed and our buyer onboard over what proved to be a lengthier process than expected. There was neither a downward chain nor upward but various legal difficulties emerged in the sale of an 1850's property, which proved to be extremely time consuming. My advice, choose your solicitor carefully, with experience of old, but incomplete for the modern era, title deeds. A lot of common sense would help on both or more sides. But HB helped get our sale completed by regularly liaising with all parties and that is what mattered in the end.

We were not just another house sale, Paul was supportive, informative, available even at night time when you may need answers Paul would reply.
