Belvoir has been the managing agent for my rented property for over 12 years. I have appreciated their good communication with me over any concerns with my property plus photographs taken at the property on their 6 monthly reviews . I receive monthly information about the paid rent and annual statements for tax return purposes.
As I live some distance from the property it is very useful to know Belvoir is regularly inspecting it and handling the collection of rental.

Belvoir is very professional company!Since exactly five years,ago the time I moved in my property.I never had any problems,with them! The communication between us,is always great! When I had any issue,in the flat,it’s been solved every time really very quickly! I would give you a few examples. For me, during this period, all household appliances were replaced with brand new ones!fridge,cooker, the washing machine was repaired once. brand new 150 liter boiler as well,and also the bathroom was renovated once!All their service is always on time fast nice and efficient! I’m very impressed with how professional and understanding all the staffs at Belvoir are. It is been a smooth sailing so far with them from looking for a house and settling into the place. The catch was they introducing us to all the necessary teams from media to utility to make our settling in an easy and pleasant one. Also, I love the fact that, they respect our home and us when they come round.
Their way of welcoming us into the house was cute and warming with gifts and vouchers.

This company should be approached with extreme caution. My family and I rented a property at 1 Homewood Cottages in Hawkhurst and, within a week, we noticed that there was a significant mould issue, with mould seeping through the paint. It was apparent that the landlord had merely painted over the problem and moved us in without properly addressing the issue. The landlord apologized and initially promised to fix it, but all we received a few days later was the cheapest dehumidifier available on Amazon, which predictably did not solve the problem. The landlord then resorted to injecting chemicals into the brickwork, claiming that nothing more could be done. Unfortunately, our 2-year-old son developed asthma-like symptoms and became seriously ill from the black mould. During an inspection in November 2022, the landlord told us that the cause of the mould was untraceable, and we should just accept it. In response, we purchased an expensive dehumidifier that ran all day and cost us a lot of money. When we asked about the running cost of the dehumidifier, the landlord asked us to leave the property. We were told that the landlord had merely had a change of heart and that it was unrelated to the mould issues. We couldn't blame the letting agent because it was unlikely that they knew about the landlord's prior actions. However, we now have conclusive evidence that they are complicit, specifically "Nathalie ," because the property has been relisted on Rightmove, and we know that another unsuspecting family is about to endure the same suffering.

Belvoir in Tunbridge Wells recently sold our property for us. As we have moved from away the area, we were very much reliant on our agent in dealing with all aspects of the process. Things were further complicated by the difficult circumstances we all found ourselves in last year.

It was clear that Belvoir really knows their local market and we went away with a really good idea of prices in the town & which areas are best suited to families.

I was a tenant with Belvoir for nearly 5 years and found them to be very friendly and helpful, and prompt at dealing with issues. I was unlucky enough to have issues with flooding at my flat and they arranged all the repair works quickly and with minimal upheaval.
The checkout process when I left was efficient and they offer a service to help move utilities and council tax over to your new address free of charge.
I would recommend Belvoir over other agents I have dealt with over the years. Thank you Vanessa and team!

Unfortunately I’ve not had a great experience so far. Every issue I have had, for example, there is blocked guttering at the top of the building I live in, which causes water to pool outside my porch which I logged the weekend I moved in (end of January) and it has still not been addressed, despite the pooling water freezing and icing over, causing me to slip and fall over last week. It’s extremely disappointing and has put me off renting without going directly to a landlord in future.

I found a flat I wanted and attended the offices to complete the paperwork. I had already agreed a break clause with the landlord. The staff member started trying to tell me that the let had to be for a year and if it was for less then I would have to pay the agency fees twice! I knew this to be wrong, misleading and felt the staff member was abrasive and incredibly manipulative. Clearly there was an intention to extract money from the unwary. I made my excuses and took the paperwork away to complete later. Subsequently I was told the flat would not be available to me. No adequate explanation was ever offered for this. The staff website described the staff member as having a penchant for shoes and cocktails. I can only imagine she did not feel she would be getting paid enough for her booze and shoes unless she managed to charge all the tenants twice.

Awful Agents, the most unprofessional people I have ever come across. I am writing to the Ombudsman about them as they seem to be very dodgy. They seemed fine in the first instance then switched and it was all about money, money, money. They talk about putting your offers to the Landlord for which they want money first. Never heard of such, when we are not buying. They ask for our debit card details from the start deducting money from us to undertake referencing at a cost of about £600 then pushed for us to move in early without conducting a walk-through with us to go through inventories, unheard of in all our time renting. They are SCAMMERS, Renters beware!!
