Not too impressed
We had a number of viewings but never had any feedback from Bidwells. As far as I can tell they also did not follow up on the
potential buyers. Not overly impressed.
We have now taken the house of the market and will relist with another agent.... Read more

Worst experience ever!would recommend to stay away from this one. After finalizing everything with them longer than a month before move in ,suddenly came to know I can no longer rent because landlord has changed his mind.my application fee declared as non refundable went down the drain into their pockets and I no longer have a house to move in to
leaving me and my family in a desperate situation. No help or reassurance provided by the company whatsoever.EXTREMELY UNRELIABLE!... Read more

Over charging typical estate agents who seem to be more concerned in looking after the buyer instead of the interests of the person selling the house as they wanted to sell the buyer a mortgage. TALK ABOUT A CONFLICT OF INTEREST! They don't deserve any star rating what so ever!????... Read more

Seriously the Worst letting agent in the world. Rude and arrogant (especially when you need help to fix the washing machine); Wrong information (which makes you overpay to unnecessary things); Sloppy management; Terrible end-of-tenancy service; Unreasonable deduction of deposit; and no one cares about your complaint.... This has just got to be the worst letting agents in Cambridge, no I tell a lie, in the UK! They are so rude and that is to good tenants! It does not matter that you pay the rent on the day, on the dot, it makes not difference, heaven help those that don't pay on time! And if anything goes wrong in the rented property, don't bother to contact them, they just say it is your fault not matter what it is - ' the roof has fallen in...! oh you must have been dancing on it - well will send you the bill! Godawful!... Read more

Since they keep having my Glassdoors review removed I'll post it somewhere only I can remove it:
I was effectively bullied out of my role by a Partner at the company. They behaviour resulted in me going to HR and raising a formal complaint - I was actually encouraged to do so by HR. Once other senior managers found out what was happening the HR lady I was dealing with disappeared so nothing further would happen. Once I had my new contract for my new job I was basically told that I didn't need to go back tomorrow and I would be paid until the end of the month. Bidwells successfully managed to bury the issue. In total I worked for the company for 7-8 months and I was looking to leave after week 2. There was no exit interview and I was never given the chance to discuss my time with the company. They then tried to unpay me and not pay me my full notice period. I had to contact ACAS before they agreed to make the payment.
There is a 'them and us' culture in the office with administrators being spoken down to. Some people have had issued with their line managers refusing to speak to them because "they wouldn't speak to them on the street so why should they speak to them at work".
You are expected to work until the job is done and you are not paid extra time or time in lieu. This is particularly a problem for admin as you are expected to proofread document before submission and colleague like to work until the deadline - meaning that in my first week I ended up staying until 6.45pm on one occasion. When you aren't rushed off your feet you are often left twiddling your thumbs or being given really mundane tasks - such as stapling document. Rigid working hours; you are expected to work 9.00 - 5.30/ 9.00 - 5.00. The company embraces agile working but only to a point. Administrators aren't typically allowed to work from home so it's only truly agile for some - those who are fee earning.
Colleagues are IT illiterate and questions I have been asked include why aren't my screens working - surface not docked; or "how do I change the colour of an Excel cell?"
A large part of the social scene of the company revolves around food and drink - particularly drinking - so if you don't enjoy drinking or have issues with certain food and decline attending you are made to feel isolated and like you aren't part of the team.
Admin staff are given fixed desks (vs sit-stand desks) which seems silly since they are at their desks the longest out of all the different staff roles. Although it is possible to move desks for a day it's very difficult when you have equipment (ie foot pedal) which you need to do your role. This again makes administrators feel less important/ valued vs fee earners.
When asked for further training on InDesign i was told no as it wasn't necessary for my role. This is the first time I have EVER been refused a development opportunity - particularly when it is relevant for the role.... Read more
