I’ll start by saying — I hope I never have to move again (if I can help it!)… but if I ever did, I wouldn’t even consider using anyone other than David Burr.
From start to finish, the whole team was simply fantastic. Every single person in that office went above and beyond, always just a phone call away to answer our questions and calm our nerves — and trust me, there were many times we felt like pulling out of the sale! But their constant support and professionalism made all the difference.
They chased every last detail, followed up on everything, and even dealt with some incredibly difficult and unhelpful people in the process!!

David Burr were not actually the agent for the sale of my property but I wish they were! My dealings with them were all related to the purchase however, I wish they had been responsible for both. Without Richard, Tim & Gemma supporting me with the sales progression and negotiation, I do not believe things would have happened both as quickly and as smoothly as they did. My agents never called to follow up, but the team at DB were providing me weekly updates (sometimes twice weekly/daily) on what was happening with the whole chain, it was an amazing service that I was extremely grateful for considering they were making no financial gain from me. We managed to go from agreed sale to completion in 9 weeks which is unheard of these days and it's all thanks to them. This is the second occasion i have used David Burr Estate Agents in Castle Hedingham over the last 25 years and this is my assessment:
Dilligent, efficient and dedicated staff who pride themselves on a personal service; they always answer calls quickly and always return calls as soon as practicable; They have incredible knowledge and experience of properties of all types in the surrounding area and they take ownership of a sale from start to finish and will readily offer solutions to problems - you need to look no further. The staff of three, Tim, Oliver Leah and Sophie excell at all the above and I witnessed their calm heads during stressful moments!!
For me personally, they were absolutely brilliant at getting the sale of my property home after many hiccups and hurdles.
I doubt this agent will be very hard to match and as such, I strongly recommend them.
