A very professional team at the Chigwell branch and easy to talk to. I did quite a few viewings with them, they kept me informed of new properties coming on, were always prompt at viewings and when they did 'open houses' they staggered the times to allow enough time to view the house without viewing at the same time as others. I've had very good service from Sean Corrigan and the team, particularly Aseena and Anita. I have a Victorian house, and Sean was clearly confident and experienced in taking a period property to market, and was knowledgeable of the buyers in this area. Evidently the marketing was successful, and Sean has taken care of negotiating multiple interested parties on my behalf. Right now (autumn 2022) when mortgage offers have been somewhat precarious, Sean's attention to getting the sale all the way to completion has been critically important to me as a seller. The agency has insisted on thorough due diligence of purchasers' financial integrity. Sean has been dogged and prudent in taking care of my interests, making no assumptions until evidence of funds and legally binding paperwork for mortgage offers are in front of him. Communication has been prompt too. Having had some poor experiences with other estate agents, it has been a relief to deal with such a meticulous professional.

Sean Corrigan, where do I start with his disgraceful service, let me start with the amount he hounded me for nine days about a survey when had confirmation from my morgage advisor in email saying that I have been excepted, then let anothe buyer get in when my offer was excepted. I put an offer in on askeing price and this was excepted then he would not stop calling me sometimes three times a day, then after I done what he had asked and sent over the excepance on the day I had the morgage excepted what was nine days after. he tell me she has found some one with a higher offer that he had put through to the vendor, and is refusing to put any other others through from me since then he hasn’t been helping me just wasted my time completely. This man’s service is unprefional and completely un loyal he will make sure I didn’t get the property because I didn’t use his morgage advisor and now I have offered more for the house he hasn’t been getting back to me at all, I believe the other buyer to be some sort of relative or friend I would not put it past this man to take some sort of back hander as it doesn’t make sense how 9 day after the vendor took more money but now he won’t put forward my offer.
Definitely would not recommend.

My wife has just competed on the sale of her property in Chigwell.
Sean and Aseena at the Chigwell branch looked after the sale of the property, and although the sale took a long time, over a year due to being a pretty niche property, once a serious buyer had been found, all went well. The communication from Sean and Aseena in Chigwell was good and informative. We sold through the online auction house, I am Sold. The team there, Zak and Ruth were exceptionally helpful, informative and on the ball. Until sale, we had weekly communication with Zak on the auction progress, and once sold, Ruth was on the phone and emailing regular updates with how both sides solicitors were doing. They set me up with all their services including taking money from me for their in house solicitor to make me think that my offer has been accepted, then later that morning told me that my offer had been rejected by the buyer although I had offered the full asking price. I had been conned by Robin and Aseena and forced to use their own services, this is bad and illegal business practice. Instead we are now dealing with Davis estates who are so much more professional.

BEST ESTATES AGENTS EVER!! My partner and I decided to go with Douglas Allen Chigwell Branch purely after our initial meeting with their manager, Robin. With Robin, we felt the sincerity straight away! He was straight to the point, honest - and we liked that. Together with his team (Aseena, Sarah, and Rachel) - they managed to sell our property at asking price within 3 weeks!! I cannot highly recommend them more. Their independent mortgage broker Will who we went with, is also really efficient, honest, and we are so glad to have chosen to go with him. If I could give more than 5 stars - I would!!!!! Recently completed on my new home with Douglas Allen Chigwell and I have to say I can’t be happier with the professional and helpful services they provided us, Aseena was wonderful and went the extra mile to find us the perfect home that met mine and my wife’s needs and stayed in contact throughout the journey and for pointing us in the direction of Will Nash who sorted the finances.. this man knows his stuff. Once again Thankyou to the Team at Douglas Allen Chigwell, myself and my wife would highly recommend using them.

Shame to their name, all they want the buyer to do is sign up for everything under one roof, they will force you to use their solicitors or you have nothing! Terrible!!

We have just completed the sale of our mother's home, just over 60 years after our parents and our family moved into the property. As such, it has been at the heart of our family for most of our lives.

Rude and Unprofessional!!
Offered a price for a house which was rejected then a week later the house is up for the offer I originally put down.
They obviously pre judge clients. Really want to be selling with them??
When I spoke with the sales agent she transfers my call right through to the manager who just blags everything!

My elderly parents signed up with them to sell their house. Douglas Allen then put it on some strange scheme of equity release. I complained and they apologised and removed it. The house was sold via Lawlors in May. We cancelled the contract with Douglas Allen twice and received confirmation They still published the house despite their wishes. We then got an e mail in early July to say they’d stopped. Today ( 3 months later) my parents got a letter saying ithey needed it be put in writing again. If you have older or vulnerable sellers please do not use this agent.

We have just bought a house through Douglas Allen, Chigwell, and we are incredibly impressed with the friendly, organised staff. They kept us informed throughout and helped to push through the completion when it got a bit stressful towards the end of the sale. Even though they were representing our sellers, it always felt as if they were on our side.

The only good thing I could say about them is they found me a buyer customer service is shocking and would not recommend them as there are loads of estate agents out there with better customer care and who are eager for a sale and they are certainly not worth the fee I paid them as I did the viewings both myself and my buyer where doing all the sale progressing chasing both solicitors ! Happy to see the back of them
