Michael at HW is an estate agent who really does do what he says he is going to for his clients; from my experience this is a rarity amongst estate agents. He is genuine, tells you it straight, and always has a strategy whatever the issue, never letting you forget You are his client. He makes the highly complicated process of moving much more bearable. Just try him out and you'll see what I mean.

My partner hired this agency to rent our property in the Brighton and Hove area and they placed a tenant with 4 CCJs who hasn't paid any rent in over 12 months. We are following the legal route to have the tenant removed, however, the conduct of HW has been disgraceful. The Goodlord referencing platform warned the agency to fail all applications, they ignored all the signs, and failed to advise us of the risks.

I had a very poor experience with HW Estate Agents. From the very first day I moved in, the boiler was not working. This was in January, during extremely cold weather, and my heater also stopped working at the same time.
I immediately informed the agency and clearly explained the situation, but I received no response at all. I sent multiple emails and made phone calls, but they were ignored. With no support and no choice, I had to pay for the repairs myself.
Over the last two years, this has been a repeated issue. HW Estate Agents have not helped even once with repairs in the property. Every problem has been left to me to handle and pay for on my own.
I also want to mention Liam, who I dealt with directly. In my experience, he was consistently arrogant and spoke very rudely, which made an already stressful situation even worse. There was no professionalism or basic respect shown.
Overall, the agency shows no care or responsibility towards their clients. Based on my experience, I would not recommend HW Estate Agents to anyone.

I have just completed the purchase of a commercial property in Hove though HW, Will was their representative. I first met Will on the first viewing of property, not rushed and was very knowledgeable on the property details, as I had lots of questions, a couple he didn't know he took away to seek the answer v quickly.
Will kept me updated throughout the process to ensure smooth process to completion. Even now completed is has offered to assist if he can with any post questions or concerns I might have .

I can't say enough wonderful things about HW and specifically Michael (special mention also to Will). I had an exceptionally difficult time selling my house with a previous agent and it was like chalk and cheese. Michael kept in constant contact with me, was supportive and went totally above and beyond. Not least when he worked all day on his day off to make my very tricky exchange happen. In the end after a year of disasters, he pushed through my sale in 6 weeks and worked on my case every single day to make that happen. Nothing was too much for him. I honestly would have lost my mind without him (and Will who took over if Michael was out). This firm is outstanding. Thank you so much.

I just wanted to say what an asset Adam Nazarko is to your sales team. He does things right and it is refreshing to see. Arriving at properties, in advance and ensuring they look their best (such as opening bi-folding doors or lighting candles). He also has a print out of the property details, which not all agents have. He regularly kept me informed of properties and those that were yet to go on the market - Well done.

100% recommend, Adam from HW Estates went above and beyond, fought our corner, battled the solicitors on all sides, worked late into the night and kept us sane through a particularly difficult sale. We were lucky to have Adam manage both our sale and purchase, he was personable, professional and kept communication high at all times. It's a little thing, but the Sale/Sold boards they use also look very smart, doesn't feel like they just put your house into an auction. Kyle showed us around the property and was so friendly. He was also really knowledgeable and able to answer all our questions on the spot, it really helped us to make a quick decision. Everyone we’ve met and spoken to at HW has been so friendly and a pleasure to deal with. They really went out of their way to help us find somewhere to rent and the place we’ve ended up in was one they actually suggested for us based off our needs and wants. They helped make what I was anticipating to be a stressful process very easy and pleasant. As a tenant I would feel comfortable to pick up the phone to them if there was an issue because of their friendly nature. If you want a stress free, easy going, positive experience HW are the people!

A good estate agent. Responsive, friendly, with a straight forward set of procedures for every situation. Mainly online or through an app/website, although available via phone during office hours. So if you prefer a different approach, take that into consideration.

We have been tenants of a property managed by HW for 3 years now and cannot praise them enough. Ella, Finlay, Liam and the whole team have always been helpful, friendly supportive and thoroughly amazing at their jobs. Any issues or queries are dealt with immediately and they’re always happy to help if needed. The rent they propose is fair and the service they offer through the tenancy is unbeatable. Above all you really do feel they value you as tenants and people rather than you just being another name on the books. I can’t recommend them enough.

My partner and I just bought our first house - HW were the seller's agents. Their manager Adam proved to be a prompt and honest point of contact and very personable. He helped us through when the sale seemed to be at risk of collapse. We're under no illusion that an agent's first responsibility is to their client (the seller), but even as buyers we came out of this inevitably-stressful process feeling that we'd been in good hands. If we were in the market to sell (or rent!) a property in Brighton & Hove, based on our experience HW would be our first choice...

I have to say i have endured some bad letting agencies in my time these guys are up there in the top three the tenants have been shocking through out. If you don't care about your neighbours or YOUR property then i suggest you use these guys, i fairness they do get you tenants quickly, probably because nobody else will touch them.
