I was a tenant and I was extremely dissatisfied with Redbrik during my three years of tenancy. When I moved in the flat was disgustingly dirty and they were claiming it was cleaned! Some of their staff were very rude and they were obviously unhappy with their jobs as they really didn’t care. They totally ignored my calls about a maintenance issue. Once I scheduled an appointment with one of their maintenance team on a particular day and on another day, while I was asleep I woke up with the sound of someone trying to open my door and break in! He said it was a mistake! They never apologised. Also in my last two months in the property, they asked me to bring people to show the flat and I agreed, but they expected me to always be available or be happy to let them to come without my presence and this was very frequent like twice per week! I don’t know about their other branches but unfortunately my experience with the branch in Ecclesall road was not good at all.

Redbrik were the bridge to make mine a reality.
After a six year wait to move house, a pathway was presented to me, and it was Redbrik that I trusted with my selling and purchase to help me finally across to complete.

Overall a very positive buying experience. The vendor had used Redbrik. The Secure move purchased gave us peace of mind and was well worth the £595. One of our sales was particularly difficult but the sales progression team and in particular Lucie Appleton, kept in touch with us constantly, calmed the nerves and helped the whole process run as smoothly as it could do. I would definitely consider Redbrik if we decide to sell in the future.

Awful staff retention meaning a lot of things get lost, dropped, forgotten - poor service, left me with a leak for 3 years paying for the privilege because the constant turnover of staff I never had the same property manager for more than 2 months, it's sad because my landlords house is being damaged due to their negligence -
Update (26/11) Due to this review I received a phone call informing me that a refund for my water bill caused by the leak they neglected to fix was no longer going to be given unless I removed this review... lucky I can't be bought, especially with money that I am owed, there's a word for that

A massive thank you to Tirion for showing us around a gorgeous property for rental this week (which we were lucky enough to have been accepted for!). She was able to fit us in later in the day so we could do this after work, which we really appreciated!
She highlighted the effort the owner had put in to really make the house feel warm and inviting - small things like putting lamps on instead of overhead lighting, and making sure the heating was on really does make a difference!
Tirion also made a really great impression as an agent! She was really friendly, spoke openly about the property, and showed off all the great features. She also spoke highly of the landlord - which really bodes well for a rental! Because she was so knowledgeable about the landlord, and helpful in answering any questions about them/their service, we felt much more confident and positive about this letting, and what our experience would be like as tenants. This isn't something I'd experienced with other agencies recently.
Aside from the viewing itself - we've been really pleased with the service from Redbrik. The overall process has been really smooth and moved along at a good pace, without any delays.
The team is really responsive, consistently replying promptly to both emails and phone calls. We also found their online systems for managing holding deposits and references are really easy to use.
We also really appreciated that if our main contact (Tirion) was unavailable, another member of the team was able to access the information they needed to get up-to-date on our enquiry/status. This is really helpful!
Would highly recommend letting through this agency, particularly working with Tirion who has been fantastic! Thank you so much!

Avoid Redbrick for Rentals!
My partner and I rented a flat in Sheffield through Redbrik for two years, and the experience ended with serious disappointment. After moving out, we were ignored for over a month despite repeated emails and calls regarding our deposit.
Redbrik then tried to deduct cleaning fees, even though we left the flat cleaner than when we moved in. The claims made by Sophie Evans were completely unfounded. We challenged these through the Total Property dispute resolution process, providing photographic and written evidence, and successfully recovered our deposit back.
This review is specifically about their handling of rental properties. If you're considering renting through an estate agency, I strongly recommend avoiding Redbrik. Their lack of communication and unfair treatment made the process unnecessarily stressful. If you experience similar issues, I highly recommend using the Total Property dispute service – it was the only way we were able to resolve things fairly.
**Edit response to Redbrik comment**
I appreciate your acknowledgement regarding the delays and lack of communication about the deposit.
However, for accuracy, the £60 “light clean” deduction initially proposed by the landlord was later increased to £134 without explanation or evidence. We disputed all three of the issues listed, providing full photographic and written evidence. The dispute resolution service ultimately awarded Redbrik just 15% of the disputed amount — not a “split decision” as stated — and even then, the reasoning behind that partial award was unclear.
As this was a let-only tenancy, aside from check-in and check-out, all other communication during the tenancy was with the Landlord direct had no direct contact with Redbrik during the two years. The length of the tenancy doesn’t change the fact that the handling at the end fell well below expectations.
My review focuses on the whole experience we had with Redbrik and believe a one-star rating is a fair reflection of how the process was managed and communicated.

Rather than me slater into this business I will just leave some examples of their absolute incompetence.
In our property we rented from them, we had a huge set of windows which was quite wide to our kitchen/dining/lounge. We had one plant on the windowsill. A lot of moisture built up on the windows and began running down the windows into the kitchen floor. We explained this to Redbrik. They asked for a picture which we sent and they saw a single small plant on the window.
The estate began to tell us that plants breath and that's why all that water was being produced. I think someone failed biology and this is why they are an estate agent. I don't think one plant could have produced the sheer amount of water that was cascading down the window.
I am still not sure to this day why estate agents try to answer questions like this with no knowledge at all regarding the subject!
We had another issue where people kept parking in our spot, got told to put a sign up in the window. Kept happening. Their second solution was to park on the street parking four streets from our house. This was the same estate agent who said that planets produce enough water to feed a small village. Also we pay 500 a year for this parking spot. Why on earth would I park four streets away?!
Toward the end of our tenancy we were contacted by the estate agents by email to tell us the floor in the kitchen wasn't installed correctly, as the insulation wasn't done correctly leading to moisture on the windows ????????
Either way, they emailed around fives times, we're I booked off time off work but no one showed up.
Eventually end of tenancy came about, and they did their inventory and inspection of the flat for deposit reasons.
They tried to charge me for the no parking sign that they advised me to put up. And further tired to charge up a further £900 for the water damage to the kitchen caused by the insulation issue. Obviously we sent the DPS our emails to the estate agent and we were not charged.
MY WARNING TO YOU if you chose to rent with these absolute incompetents.
Email them everything and keep an email trail that you can submit to DPS.
Estate agents should be regulated. Con sales people with no regard for people's livelihoods. Also please don't say you can't find my email on your system like what happened last time just to try and discredit my complaint.
Have all the proof in my email still too! ????
UPDATE: What a surprise they - can't find an account linked to me. It's a very good tactic to try and discredit the review, especially since if I put the address on here, Google won't publish it- however "Pyramid Mews" may ring a bell for them.

When you are renting, the letting agent is as important as the property itself, if not more. I have dealt with many estate agents in Sheffield, mainly as a tenant, especially in the early phases of property search. I was always able to find something(s) that could be improved - I am meticulous by nature, but not with Redbrik.
They provide the service as it should be done. They are organized, proactive, and competent. As a customer, you feel the personalized experience. I can't mention names, as everyone I dealt with was super caring. I will be starting my tenancy with them soon, I expect their service to be at the same high standard they have exhibited so far.
Example of their excellence: When you call them and no one answers and you don't leave a message, they would still call you back to check what you need. This is how good they are!

I cannot thank Sophie my estate agent enough for the incredible service she provided. I had several ones before her but no one stood out like her. She was always professional, punctual, and incredibly efficient — everything was handled super fast and with such care. Even when I had to cancel or reschedule, she always made sure to accommodate me in the most timely and understanding way.
What truly stood out was her warmth and kindness. Every inspection felt comfortable and friendly, as if a friend was visiting rather than someone looking for faults. Rented with Redbrik for a tenancy of one year. Communication was poor throughout the tenancy, and maintenance issues were left for weeks-months before they were dealt with. Had an issue getting my deposit back at the end which I appealed through the deposit scheme and won, but communication with Redbrik throughout this was really poor.

Hi, I’m not sure what about addressing the maintenance issues was quick. The bathroom door handle came off at the start of October 2024, meaning the bathroom door could not be shut because it would lock me out. I raised this twice after the initial report, and it was not actioned until the 29th of November. So that was a month and a half which isn’t exactly speedy.
The other issue I reported was the shower door which happened at the end of November and again wasn’t fixed for over a month meaning I spent the remainder of my tenancy without a shower door.
The deposit fiasco was not a reflection Redbrik in itself, other than the total failure in communication leading up to the process.

I have recently sold my home in Walkley with Redbrik. Picking an estate agent to represent your home is hard! I chose Redbrik initially as I felt on meeting the team they really cared, answered all of my questions and knew about the area well. I really liked the secure move that they offer too.
Throughout the whole process I have been beyond impressed with the communication. At every stage I have been kept up to date and supported through what is a (very stressful experience selling a house!)

We have been dealing with Jen, Abi and Hayley and they have all gone above and beyond for us with the sale of our house and with help in finding a new property after a purchase fell through. We had a tight timeframe to get our property on the market and Jen had our property photographed the next day (providing tips and advice on how to present your property), on social media within 2 days and on the market within 3 working days- just outstanding! The team answer the phones quickly and if not available respond within the hour. They have an excellent app which tells you about enquiries, bookings and feedback on your property.

Terrible Experience with Redbrik Lettings - Unprofessional, Unreliable, and Untrustworthy
My experience with Redbrik Lettings at their Ecclesfield branch has been nothing short of frustrating. The communication throughout the entire process was dreadful. It was nearly impossible to get clear, accurate, or proper responses from their staff. The information I received was vague, inconsistent, and often incorrect, leading to unnecessary confusion and delays.
What was even more concerning was the misleading information I was given when initially discussing taking on my properties. I was told certain things that were later proven to be false, and this occurred after I had already signed their terms of business. It felt like they were more focused on getting my properties under management than being transparent, which was both frustrating and disappointing.
To make matters worse, Redbrik encouraged tenants to show up at the landlord’s door directly, without proper notice or communication. This not only demonstrated a lack of professionalism but was also a serious violation of privacy. The disregard for basic protocols left me feeling uncomfortable and exposed.
However, the most significant issue was their complete failure to manage rent payments properly. There were countless instances where they failed to transfer or pay the rent on time, which caused significant stress and financial uncertainty. When I tried to resolve the issue, I was met with excuses and constant delays.
When I attempted to escalate my concerns or inquire about a formal complaints process, I was informed there was no formal process in place, and the Lettings Manager was the only person I could speak to. This lack of accountability made me feel like my concerns were being completely dismissed.
Things took an even stranger turn after I left negative feedback. I was unexpectedly contacted by the Lettings Managing Director, who asked me to list all my concerns in detail. This felt disingenuous, like a last-ditch effort to salvage their reputation rather than a sincere attempt to address my issues. It only further highlighted their lack of genuine interest in customer service until it was far too late.
As if all this weren’t enough, I was subjected to rude and intimidating behavior from the staff when I tried to call them and chase for updates. Instead of taking responsibility, they acted as if I were at fault for their numerous failures.
In summary, Redbrik Lettings’ Ecclesfield branch is completely unprofessional and unreliable. Their poor communication, misleading information, failure to handle rent payments, and overall lack of customer service make them a company to avoid at all costs. I would not trust them with my property or rental needs, and I strongly recommend others look elsewhere.

I had booked a viewing for a property at 5pm, which had been confirmed that morning. However when I arrived at the property nobody was to be seen. After contacting the office I was assured that an ‘urgent’ message had been sent through to the lettings team. After half an hour of waiting in the cold no response. I then tried to contact the office again and was told to call back in the morning by the answering message. Following this I received a rude email stating that I was in the wrong, even though the team in the office had confirmed my appointment time and address was indeed correct.

When we rented with these we nearly backed out (wish we did now) because getting a response to an email took so long, questions not being acknowledged etc.
Ended up with a dodgy landlord but that’s a different story.
But when leaving the property this has also been a nightmare.
Was asked to drop the keys off at their Sheffield branch on 21st December, drove all the way down there to be told they were not expecting me and they could not take them, even though I showed the email from one of their staff members saying to drop them off on the 21st
Also with our deposit we have had no communication at all and we have chased them up several times now and not getting any response. We moved out over a month ago!

There was absolutely no confusion, leaving the tenancy early had nothing to do with this review, that was agreed between us and the landlord. Nothing to do with bills or rent, just that we weren’t happy with the state of the house.
The review is purely based on our experience and unfortunately this hasn’t been great, had an email from your staff saying to drop the key off on Saturday 21st but then was told when I got there they couldn’t take them, no liability was mentioned prior to this.
Regarding the deposit we were told by Redbrik they would chase this up and get back to us, nothing happened, we then emailed them again to be told we don’t deal with it and contact the landlord. We’ve now had an email today from the landlord saying he will contact Redbrik to arrange…

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend using Redbrik to friends and family (and already have!) as the service we’ve received has been excellent from start to finish. Jen took her time to get to know the long term family home being sold, sensitive to the context and eager to know all about the house and area to represent it in the best possible way. She quickly became an expert and handled viewings with great enthusiasm, professionalism and dedication (clocking up many steps a day across 4 floors and a steep garden!). She secured us the right buyer in a very tricky market within a short space of time. We trusted her advice on pricing and were very pleased with the way the property was marketed overall. I liked that Redbrik arrange individual viewings for the house rather than many people looking around at the same time. The service Jen provided felt tailored and personal. In terms of onward account management, Louise looked after the sale until the end and having one clear point of contact made things much easier, especially when Louise has such great people skills. I think a real test of a good estate agent is what happens when things don’t all run smoothly and what support you receive. Louise kept track of all communications, proactively chased solicitors, kept information flowing throughout the chain, kept everyone regularly briefed and without doubt saved everyone in the chain time and unnecessary stress. Unfortunately they’ve shot themselves in the foot by using an inflexible credit referencing agency. They won’t allow two newly qualified doctors to rent purely because we are technically on student loan for a few months more, even though we have jobs lined up.
Would recommend using agents who use Let Alliance as their agency if you are also in this situation. I am currently considering other options.
Change your referencing agency please as each year new FY1 doctors are looking to start their new jobs and you’re blocking yourself from a lucrative market.

I have used Redbrik for many years as a landlord renting multiple properties.
Having used other agents in the past, I have to say Redbrik are head and shoulders above the rest.
Peter Lee who heads up the letting side is a property God. What he doesn't know isn't worth knowing, and I trust him implicitly. His advice down the years has been rock solid.
Holly Green who manages the properties on a day-to-day basis has the patience of a saint. Which is a blessing really as I'm not the easiest of clients. Tenants are real pain, but Holly is a fantastic firebreak.
If you're working full time, but need a quality team to painlessly manage your portfolio, look no further!

Currently a tenant and they where really transparent and responsive to enquiries I had, as well as accomidating for some of my requests pre move in. Things were a little slow to begin with in trying to get repairs sorted, however, that's been much better since Amy Rees has taken over managing the property. Amy has quickly organised to get them actioned, answering my questions/requests, and keeping in contact to let me know what the situation is. So far one of the best letting experiences I've had.

Redbrik let and manage a number of properties for me in Sheffield and I found them to be an excellent estate agent.
Over the last five years Redbrik has grown but they have maintained their expertise in lettings and management. Each property is assigned a letting agent who I have found easy to work with, responsive and efficient.
Recently, I have been working with Holly in lettings who, in addition to the above, I have found caring and empathetic for both landlord and tenant which is essential to find best solutions to any problems.
I am also in the process of selling a property though Redbrik, and again this negotiation between seller and purchaser has been perfectly balanced by Alastair, and an exceedingly swift sale has been agreed.
To summarise, Redbrik have been great estate agents to work with, and one I can still rely on.

Useless incompetent staff had to keep chasing constantly for information when I did get something it was very vague answers. My sale was going through the crystal peaks branch they wer me TERRIBLE ????????????
So I get a response from the owner of the ecclesall road branch how that is possible I don't know when I said in the review that my sale went through the "Crystal Peaks" branch so the hell does this guy at the ecclesall road branch think he is saying that my review is inaccurate you need to mind your own business. So I will say again the staff at the Crystal Peaks branch through my entire house purchase were absolutely useless and incompetent.

Shocking experience. The company do not comply to the tenant fee ban and allow students to move into properties which are still full of the previous tenants belongings! They did not send a cleaner out so we spent the first 3 days of our tenancy removing belongings and cleaning the place in order to make it habitable. We also did not have wifi for over a month during exam season for many, we did not receive compensation for this. On top of this, they tried to take almost my full deposit for issues which I have evidence that I reported as soon as I moved in.
I had heard many good things about Redbrik as a sales agent, but they certainly haven’t done their research into student lettings before expanding! Do not use!

Liars and thieves.
DO NOT TRUST, they will try and take your deposit for things that they are aware need fixing and what you have emailed/phones them repeatedly to fix.
They will aim.tp charge you for everything on the deposit as its no skin off their nose whether they lose or not with the DPS, so even if something was damaged already, there is a chance they will be able to claim it to be fixed for rhe landlord off the deposit.
The people who work there are terrible with emails and sent my bank details and tenancy agreement to some random randomer across the city who messaged me on Facebook to tell me

I should name a shame specific people but I am not going to.
Seek legal advise and prepare yourself if you chose those estate agents. PHOTOGRAPH EVERYTHING and keep an email trail

I couldn’t fault the level of service provided by him, very efficient and professional.

Redbrik South West (the lovely Emi specifically for us) made our experience of buying a house through their company smooth and efficient. We had a few bumpy moments along the way (mainly our sale which we did through a separate company) but Emi was both professional and reassuring throughout the process making sure everything ran to schedule.
