Nothing was too much trouble and Janet and Emily were extremely helpful in guiding us through the whole process and in particular in presenting the house for the photographs and also viewings. They continued their excellent customer service once we had sold (which was within three weeks) by proactively keeping us updated at every step of the way from the top to the bottom of the chain. We viewed a property in Bramhall with Richard from Richard Lowth & Co back in January of this year and have been thinking about leaving a review since. This was written back then but we choose to post after trying to view again with no luck. The overall experience from booking the viewing to the actual viewing was uncomfortable and unpleasant. We emailed asking if the property was still available to view and received a “it is available” reply, no Hello, no dates or times to view. After some back and forth, a time rearrangement due to “something in the diary he can’t move” we finally had a date and time. The actually viewing was painful, we felt like we were inconveniencing him as he was just not interested looking around or on his phone. Usually at viewings the agent tells us about the property but we didn’t get this and had to initiate any conversation. Questions we asked were met with scoffs and attitude. My partner asked why the vendors were selling the property, it was replied with a scoff and laugh “they want to buy one of our other properties” . The whole thing was uncomfortable and was the reason we didn’t put an offer on the house. If we were given the time during the process and were more invited during the viewing we would have considered the property differently. I hope this feedback is taken on board.... Read more

We purchased a house 2 weeks ago, through Richard Lowth and had dealings with Emily too. They were great, very helpful, responded to questions and generally were very pleasant to deal with. Richard was very helpful at the point we were offering even though we weren't his client. He has a lovely calm demeanour which is good in these situations. I felt that they were both honest with us throughout even though sometimes it wasn't the news we wanted! We are now in our new house and delighted with it. Thank you to you both. [RESPONSE, 12/9/24] The developer has shown evidence of comms that his legal team is dealing with it and there were some pending queries to be resolved before transferring the money, and the details of the developer were published on the Cheshire Planning website and was responsible for drawing the plans. The developer turns out to be our new neighbour in our commercial office hence popped by to ask if there were any restrictions on the property etc and he too was surprised that it is still open for viewing. Richard has not mentioned that there's any offer that has been made to the property and strung potential buyers along, including the developer. Using the phrase door-stepped and trying to create a false impression that we have been after the potential buyer with intention. Been caught up and making excuses to defend himself. The integrity and professionalism of this agent can be evidenced from his response below with no respect towards his client nor the potential buyers. __________ We were in the midst of arranging a viewing for a potential house and by coincidence met with another potential buyer that is already in the process of legal. Both parties were not made aware of the current situation and Richard has not been transparent at all. When questioned, he said that they will take viewings up to the 11th hour, despite the other potential buyer is already in process. And told me off for exchanging information with other buyer? Not professional, short tempered and time waster. Also, putting off a lot of genuine request for the owner as we were advised best not to view after this incident. Not great experience!... Read more

Richard, Emily and Janet were a blessing to have on our first home buying team, we had absolutely no issues and they did everything to make it a wonderful experience. Richard is incredibly genuine, very honest and trustworthy. From the first house viewing, he was great. He helped us navigate the offer process with the seller (as a first time buyer we had no idea what to do), he spoke with the neighbours before we moved in and made sure the gardens weren’t overgrown for our move in day, they all truly went above and beyond and I couldn’t recommend them enough. Had a property viewing with Richard himself who was quite rude and short. Didn’t seem interested or invested himself and made me feel like I was a waste of his time. Not to mention he didn’t know the answers to any queries I had when viewing the property. Even basic questions such as EPC and tax code. He had no clue. I had to wait over a day for such basic answers. (Which I had already found out by this point by doing a simple google search and investigation on the government web page). When initially asking for a viewing, I selected the option ‘request a viewing’ to which Richard then replied to with ‘I assume you want a viewing?’. No professionalism in his manner or approach and also evidently ignoring the fact that I had requested a viewing in my enquiry. Emailing was like talking to a brick wall. No response unless multiple emails were sent. My fiancé had to call the office just to get a response at one point. This happened on two occasions. Then I tried to contact once again to view the property again but this time with my fiancé. No response. So I call the office. Again. Then I’m told they DID get my email (decided to ignore me evidently) and that they’re actually going to give it to someone else. Once again, no communication regarding this. Considering we are a family, with a baby, it would have been good to know sooner when someone else was interested rather than stringing us along. In hindsight, I should have known in the first instance when Richard was rather rude, unprofessional and absent. I would not recommend this ‘company’ to anyone.... Read more
