Jak, Fern & colleagues were genuinely so lovely. Down-to-earth advice in such a cutthroat industry is so refreshing. They didn't tell us just what we wanted to hear by placing an attractive high end valuation when they were trying to secure our instruction. But explained how the price would be set and explaining about their vast knowledge and comparable evidence and experience. Not like some agents who seemed to value quite highly, just to get a foot in the door. During the marketing they were diligent in chasing viewers for feedback; and then when a sale was agreed they regularly chased our buyers and their solicitors for up-dates on their progress. It wasn't a long chain - but it dragged on because of our purchasers delays on finance; it was hard not to feel anxious and frustrated; but Taylors did a sterling job in keeping it all on an even-keel. We would wholeheartedly recommend Taylors Estate Agents, Halesowen to sellers and buyers alike; you will be in safe hands. As an aside, we also used the services of Mark Taylor for RICS Homebuyers surveys on our prospective purchases. He was extremely thorough and the report was expedited within no-time and anything we didn't understand on the survey - he was happy to chat with us to explain his findings.

Having to sell a property in Halesowen, in the capacity of Lasting Power of Attorney for Property & Finance to a 96 year old Aunt, and living a good two hours away, I needed an Estate Agent that could take charge of the whole process; Taylors fulfilled this role completely, with speed and professionalism second to none.
I was kept informed throughout the whole process.
I have no compunction in fully recommending the Halesowen Branch of Taylors, all their staff possessed a "Can do" attitude, which has not been the case with other Estate Agents I have worked with.

Absolutely waste of estate agent , did a viewing on the house , called them to give my price and was told we will call you next day , no call made. Had a email 3 days after to say all bids need to be sent on email and asking all personal details from bank account deposits , solicitors details etc . Submitted revised offer and was told they will contact me next day . Still 3 days and no contact but house has been sold based on there website . At least call all the people who have gone out there way and notify them as we have have all made the effort and supplied personal financial statements which you now have possession of. Don’t waste your time with this estate agent .

Taylors estate agents Halesown are by far the worst company I have ever had the misfortune to contact , I phoned them today 14-10-25 to ask if they had got the right valuation on a house that they have for sale opposite myself in Rowley Regis, the person that l spoke to -Mark Taylor was very arrogant and very unhelpfull, I would advise anyone thinking of selling their house to avoid Taylors, or at least get a second opinion , also dont believe all of the 5***** reviews that you see posted on their site any one can write a review. Taylors recently valued a house on Fairbourn Ave , for £ 259.950, to calm my neighboure;s I had my house valued this morning = £280.000 how come such a difference in price for two houses that are very simular .? remember this when or if you decide to sell your house . as l have now been waiting for a call back from the solictiors that are dealing with No 3 Fairbourne Ave for almost one week . I am now going to contact all of the beneficiary's regarding the sall of this house .

From the initial enquiry to the completion of sale Taylors Halesowen were simply amazing!
Being new to the whole moving house thing we decided to get three estate agents to value our property and see who seemed to be the most professional and helpful with regards to the process and what was involved.
It was a 'no brainer' when Mark Taylor came to see us, he was an instantly likeable guy and made us feel comfortable with him and what Taylors would offer us, so we had him back to take photos and put the house on the market and waited for the phone to ring...
It did, almost immediately and this is where our journey with Taylors really became a pleasure!
We very quickly built up a good rapport with Nicki and Fern by phone and email, they couldn't have been more professional, courteous, and patient with us. They made us feel at ease with the process and genuinely couldn't have done enough to help us.
Now everyone will tell you that moving house is stressful - however when Taylors number flashed up on my phone to arrange a viewing it really was the highlight of my day!
Throughout the process they communicated effectively and efficiently with all parties concerned with the move and would never tire of our endless questions and my (sometimes) amusing phone banter.
The fee is also worth mentioning at this point, Taylors worked for us on a fixed price agreement which was way better than having to cough up a percentage of our sale proceeds and I can almost guarantee that we got way more, for less money. Something you might want to bear in mind if you are about to move house and are wondering if you should go with Taylors then consider this - They do exactly the same job as other estate agents, just way better and probably cheaper!
Bottom line, I wholeheartedly recommend Taylors Halesowen, the staff go above and beyond what I would consider to be good customer service, they absolutely smashed it for us and we will never forget the efforts they put in to get us into our new home.
Thank you very much to Mark, and especially to Nicki and Fern for all your hard work!
The saddest part of the move is that we no longer get to have our chats!

I can’t thank them enough for helping us through the buying and selling process, which can be challenging, but with their help, it was a lot better than we thought. They really did eliminate a lot of the stress that is associated with buying and selling a house.
We went through all the local estate agents and initially chose a different one to try and get a good price. This wasn’t achievable, as is the case in a lot of times like this. We decided to go to Taylor’s as we bought the house from them 14 years ago, and they were fantastic.
Arranged for them to come round , we cannot fault them. Jack really knew what he was talking about and had an idea of how he wanted to present the house.
Some of the viewers from the previous estate agents said that our house was a lot nicer than the pictures. We definitely have a house that’s awkward to show its best light in pictures alone.
Taylor’s took extra photographs and really did show the property at its best. Within less than a month, we had an agreed sale.

Taylors Halesowen have been brilliant and i would highly recommend. I have sold 2 properties and purchased a property with them over the past 12 months.
Selling my late fathers property they were respectful and supportive. We met with 3 different local estate agents. Jaks expert knowledge of the local area and to the point advice won Taylors the work. Lauren guided us through the sale process and was responsive to all enquiries (for which i had a lot). She also has experience with the conveyancing process and her knowledge of this was invaluable.
Following this they helped us sell our property and also helped us find a property. Lauren (again) and Fern has been superb throughout this all of this. Fern had a calm and reassuring approach. The property we purchased had many challenges come up (no fault of Taylors) and Fern & Lauren managed to get this completed in just over 3 months. Which was a brilliant achievement considering the circumstances.
Anything asked of Taylors was never too much.

Do NOT use would be my advice judging by my experience . Reading comments from others about poor communication etc sums the company up , in other words - they don't really seem bothered.
The story - Mark meets me on site , says all the right things, gives me a value to which I say market it £5k under that as I need it sold , his reply was yep that sounds great, it will be gone in no time , house needs nothing, lovely finish perfect family home etc etc. I had said I need it sold quickly as I had bought a second home and if it sold within 4 months I could get a decent amount of stamp duty back.
Listed on the Friday & viewings from the Monday , looking good. After some viewings I thought where is the feedback, consequently I emailed Taylor's, no response,so I mailed again, I was then told they would ask for comments etc.
So after asking more than once I get a replay saying the above and it left me feeling as though there is no hunger here.
Few weeks went by & Mark ( owner ) called and said we ve had no offers and maybe we should look at the price ?? ( Don't forget he valued it & I said market it £5k less than his valuation ) A poor salesman always wants to reduce prices .I said ok & reduced it £10k, so now we are £15k under HIS valuation.
Strangely since that reduction I have not had one viewing and only one enquiry and due to time going on and on I emailed 2 different ladies in the office and no response from either, not even an out of the office acknowledgement, so this got me thinking more so , are they even bothering with enquiries from interested parties ? ( I will never know ) It seems strange 9 viewings before reducing and nothing since.
I had Marks mobile number so I called to ask what's going on and why no answers to my mails , he apologised and said he would look into it and also look at the house traffic on the internet.
He did call back that evening when promised and said ( yes you guessed it ) what about the price ? So then we could of been £25k off his valuation, where does this stop I thought, I said this is costing me thousands pal every month in bills ( extra property ) and you seem to have put me in the market at an unrealistic figure.I said again I wasn't really happy with the property pictures and I wanted them redone & to remove some of them that he had on the internet as they were not up to my expectations.
The house is also empty so I said how about partially furnishing it to make it look more homely - his reply was good idea, I then stopped and thought that, this is all wrong and not for me and I need to change.
I gave them another few weeks and said I m going with another company and I want my keys returning this was by email to 2 of the ladies in the office. Later that day I got an email off Mark saying he would return my keys by the end of the week and apologised for the issues. Guess what - he didn't bother to return them , this is the owner & sums up the company in my eyes - He/they just aren't bothered. Another email sent asking for them.
I also got them another house to sell for a deceased friend's Son , I said look after him Mark on the price of selling it as I can get you the job on my say so, the chaps feedback was - they don't communicate well and why did he charge me £500 more that your than your listing! So he didn't get looked after ( it is sold I believe ) but dragging on.
All the above is fact and since my instruction to sell I have heard many bad things locally.
Summing up - They don't seem bothered, from the top to the bottom, obviously doesn't seem to know the market, terrible communication and will tell you what you want to hear .
Look forward to dealing with the new agent and the initial meeting with this new agent was far more professional.
Apologies and excuses & any response from the company on this review would be just to try & save face .

Proposed sale of 378 Birchfield Lane, Oldbury, B69 1AE. Extremely disappointed with this agent. Lack of verbal communication and feedback constantly having to chase after them. Agent late every time for arranged appointments and no prior notification whatsoever of delay. Did not turn up at all for one appointment with me. On chasing up it was a no show by agent. I had this confirmed in writing two days prior, no apology from agent or owner of the company was forthcoming. I had to do viewings myself they did not do one at all. Wouldn’t recommend and went elsewhere for sale of the property, who are on the ball and very courteous and respectful with constant communication, they are punctual at all times and complete all viewings. Would not recommend Taylor’s alternative company are in a different league! Still no apologies from Taylors as of posting this, just excuses.Not good enough and unprofessional will never use again. Taylors in Halesowen recently acted in the sale of my late mother's house, and I am grateful for their excellent service. Everyone involved was helpful and professional throughout the process. Although it did not sell quickly, Jak and Julie were persistent, eventually finding a first time buyer. Then while the buyer's solicitor was very slow and uncommunicative, Jak was pro-active, and maintained good communications with me and with our buyer up to completion. They sold the house within 6 weeks which during the lockdown is pretty good going. They negotiated with the buyer and did a good job. Staff are always motivated friendly approachable and efficient. Always respond to emails / contact

Things were ok until after the sale was agreed . Once sold I had no communication from them unless I called and chased them. I did ask to be kept informed on how the sale was proceeding every week but I don’t think anyone could be bothered. They have been paid a lot of money for very little work. I would not recommend them or use them again.

Worked with Taylor’s (Halesowen) previously when selling and didn’t hesitate to use them again for my recent house sale. First class service from start to finish as expected. Jack & Julie both have vast experience and more importantly are a joy to deal with. Julie in this particular instance was incredibly transparent, Honest & courteous throughout the whole process and is incredibly knowledgeable which takes away a lot of unnecessary stress which usually comes when selling. Wouldn’t hesitate for a second to recommend them to anyone else when choosing an estate agent to work with.

Dreadful for lots of reasons. Taylors valued my home at more than £20,000 LESS than another 2 agents (I went with one of the other agents and sold within a week)
Unfortunately the property I chose to buy was being sold by Taylor's. They were dishonest about other interest, stating that others were in a proceedable position and later disclosing that they were not.
After agreeing the sale nothing was done for over 6 weeks, although I was chasing constantly. I was repeatedly fobbed off, saying the draft contract from the solicitor would be sent out in the next couple of days, this went on for weeks. Eventually I spoke with the seller, who was completely unaware as Taylor's hadn't contacted them either, and they got things moving.
Eventually contracts were exchanged and a completion date agreed... 2 days before completion I received a call from Taylor's asking if my solicitor had requested searches on the property yet. I couldn't believe it. How could they be so inept?
I've been in my new home for over 2 weeks now and the SOLD board has yet to be collected.
I've given 1 star because although they were useless the staff were all very polite.

The team at Taylor’s Halesowen were absolutely outstanding from the first day to the day we moved house . It took 7 weeks and we were kept informed every step of the way , particularly by Dom . There was a long chain invovled but Dom seemed to keep it moving . He always returned a phone call or email straight away with professionalism and enthusiasm. Well done Dom . Mark , jack and scarlet played their parts too and we would have no hesitation in recommending Taylor’s . Fantastic ????????

Get Agent recommended their 3 estate agents and whist they were all very good, i instantly had a good feeling about Taylors Estate agent. They were honest and to the point with everything they said.
Every question i asked was answered with confidence They were extremely knowledgable with the house market in the Halesowen area and they were true to their word in every way with regards to the house valuation.
Taylors were the only estate agent out of the 3 recommendations that offered advertisement on Zoopla and Right Move.
Taylors were very professional when it came to house viewings, their representatives were punctual and ensured the viewings went ahead smoothly. In the event of a no show by the prospective buyer, they were very aplogetic and re-scheduled within minutes.
The offer that was accepted was handled very well and without any complications.
Now the sale is going through, they have contacted me with regular updates.
Would definitely recommend and a special thanks go to Jak Taylor, Scarlett Norrey and Julie Jones.

Difficult to explain how effective and helpful Jak has been due to the circumstances of the sale ....this is a public forum and Jak was acting through a family member hence lack of detail due to data protection.

NEVER AGAIN.
House sold through Taylors recently but things went bad on moving day. There was a delay on the buyer’s part and their solicitors regards to payment. The issue was that Julie Jones (Taylors Estate agent) told my buyers they could have the keys to my house however payment was not showing as cleared via our solicitor. It is the solicitors that should tell the sellers and the buyers when they can have the keys. I did report this to Stuart Down who is a manager at Halesowen branch. He did agree that it is the solicitors that should give the go ahead when the keys are released.
On the day of moving we were extremely stressed out; we were also exhausted and tired. We expected to be out by 12.30 but this didn't happen due to payments not cleared. We had the buyer on the door step around 2pm 'we want the keys now or we are going to call the Police, this is legally our house' I do not blame the buyers in any way as this I think anyone would do when given the wrong information. The cause was the estate agent Julie Jones. There had been no arrangement for the buyers to come directly to our house, Julie Jones had rung moving day morning and told us to drop the keys at the estate agents when we were ready! We were at this point feeling weak with the stress. She was telling the buyer to get the keys, us to give the keys over, and our solicitor saying payment is not cleared, do not give them the keys. A house is not legally owned by the buyers until payment is cleared. Our buyers were seeing red and fuming. This really is not how we wanted to leave the buyer and the house we had lived in for 20 years. We wanted to leave on friendly terms. We did everything to the house leaving it in a clean welcoming condition on the day, as if to say ‘welcome to your new home’ to the new buyers, but instead it felt that this extra attention we had made was for nothing. We really looked after the house over the years and got it to a very high standard.
Julie Jones says she has 30 years’ experience; she knew everyone in the trade, even said she knew our solicitor really well but guess what? when I asked our solicitors, they said no never heard of her.
I spoke to many other estate agents when looking for a house and they came across as professional and knew what they were doing. Taylors you need to have a complete rethink on your business. Start listening and make changes for the better.
I am left with a very bad feeling. My buyers I know think it was us that caused the issues still to this day. I did complain to Stuart Down and he did try his to smooth things over with my buyers. During one of our conversations he did start to get worked up and muttered a few words 'for goodness sake' I said 'sorry what did you say?' He then started talking like he had not said anything wrong. I think really, I should have complained to trading standards rather than a person that works for the company, after all you will never get a fair conclusion. Julie Jones was not reprimanded for any of this.
I recently had to sell my mother’s house, and the keys were with the same estate agent. On moving day I got a call from them telling me they had released the keys to the new owners as they had the call from the solicitor giving key release proving solicitors say when funds show cleared and keys are released and not individual members of staff who think they know better.
I am not one for giving negative reviews but in this case due to the stress caused it is justified.
THE REPLY FROM TAYLORS SAYS IT ALL. LIES ALL THE WAY. OUR REMOVAL VANS HAD LEFT - YES LEFT BY 12.30 THERE WERE 5 REMOVAL MEN WHO CAN CONFIRM THIS. WE WERE WAITING FOR OUR SOLICITOR TO SAY YES HAND THE KEYS OVER. YET TAYLORS SAID HAND KEYS OVER EVEN THOUGH PAYMENT HAD NOT CLEARED.
WE WERE READY AT 12.30
IT WAS ALL DOWN TO CLEARED PAYMENT FROM THE BUYERS AND HANDING THE KEYS OVER AT THE CORRECT TIME. ESTATE AGENTS CAN NOT GIVE THE GO AHEAD TO GIVE KEYS OVER - IT IS THE SOLICITORS WHO HAVE THE SAY WHEN TO DO THIS NOT TAYLORS HENCE WE SUFFERED EXTREME STRESS ON THE DAY.

If you are looking to buy OR sell a property i strongly advise you to go elsewhere.
I viewed a total of 3 apartments with Taylors in the space of a few weeks not once did they pick up the phone to me for feedback on the viewings. In fact 1 of the apartments that i viewed the couple actually said they left Taylors because of the lack of feedback they were getting from buyers (clearly because Taylors weren't calling them)
Their customer service skills were abysmal. They wouldn't call me back, they made empty promises of 'ill call you later' and it never happened. I had to chase them about offers I'd put in on properties.
At 1 point the agent i dealt with said 'we're really busy with phone calls when we have more time we will get back to you'
To say they ruined my experience as a 1st time buyer would be an understatement.
If you're thinking of selling OR buying a property i urge you go to the local zoo as a monkey could do it better.

Possibly the worst decision my wife and I made was to put our property for sale with Taylors estate agents Halesowen, we have had nothing but problems for 7 months, the office manager Stuart Down even admitted himself that we had not received the service expected of them, how they can advertise saying they are "EXPERTS" with "CONSIDERABLE EXPERIENCE" is beyond belief, we were passed between 3 different members of staff none of which we believed to be competent, we had to keep chasing them for information on our sale eventually we went with another agent and sold within 1 day. VERY VERY POOR!!! If I could post this review with a zero star rating it would be too much. Very disappointed.

Our complete experience buying a house from Taylors was awful. From the very start we had a meeting with their financial advisor who told us lots of wonderful things about using them for everything. We asked them to send us all the details so we could confirm but we were supplied nothing. The whole thing went down hill from here really. After trying to get a memorandum of sale, which by the way was incorrect 3 times! The third time there was a mistake they just said oh it would be fine... Poor quality if you ask me. we proceeded with the purchase. About 4 months went by without basically a word so I contacted them to request some communication with the vendor to talk about completion/exchange dates. No response after about 4 weeks for them to tell us there is a delay in the chain, which they would have known about previously but decided to try and delay by sticking their head in the sand. If we were told a week or so before and had open communication we could have continued our letting agreement and proceeded with the purchase but unfortunately that was not the case. We had to pull out of the purchase after a horrible 6 months of time wasting. Taylors had no interest in communicating with us and were no importance to them. AVOID! As a comparison we purchased a house with Lex Allan Grove. Completed in 6 weeks with communication constantly. Don't waste your time with Taylors.
