We purchased a property through Brunton Residential, and the condition it was handed over in was extremely disappointing. It was far from being ready to move into. There was dust everywhere, the carpets had clearly not been vacuumed, the garden grass had not been cut, and the oven looked like it had been used for years without ever being properly cleaned.<br><br>For first-time buyers, collecting the keys to a new home is a special milestone. Unfortunately, that experience was overshadowed by the poor condition of the property.<br><br>Throughout the purchase process, Brunton Residential were very proactive in chasing us to meet deadlines and complete paperwork on time. However, they showed very little courtesy when it came to ensuring the property was handed over in a reasonable, move-in condition. At the very least, sellers should be encouraged to leave the property clean and presentable for the new owners.<br><br>When we raised our concerns, we were simply told that sellers are under no obligation to clean the property before completion. While that may be legally true, it reflects poorly on the level of customer service and care provided. A little guidance and consideration from the estate agent could have made a significant difference to our experience.<br><br>Overall, we were left feeling that once the sale was completed, customer care was no longer a priority....
