The team at the Bishopston branch were brilliant and made the very stressful experience of buying a house on my own, as easy as it could be.
I can't thank Emily Davies enough. From the first viewing to the moment I completed, she advised me, answered my many, many questions, reassured me and advocated on my behalf.
I'm hugely grateful to her and Karly Hurcombe (who was relentless in her determination to get us to the exchange and completion stage!) and would recommend them to anyone looking to buy or sell a house

C J Hole helped me with both the letting of my property over several tenancies, and then with the sale of the property earlier this year. From the valuation through to the completion of the sale and purchase CJ Hole were amazing. We were kept informed all through the process and everyone was efficient effective and approachable. Avoid! CJ Hole have handled my tenancy deposit extremely poorly. After my tenancy ended, only part of my deposit was returned, and I was then told the remaining balance had been withheld because the new tenants had underpaid their own deposit. This is completely unacceptable and should never have involved my money.
Communication has been slow, unclear, and I have had to repeatedly chase for updates with no proper resolution seven months later. I have also discovered issues with the deposit protection records still showing previous tenants’ names long after the tenancy ended, which is very concerning.
Overall, a stressful and frustrating experience dealing with something that should have been simple and straightforward. I would not recommend based on how my deposit has been handled.

As always CJ Hole provided an excellent service selling my home from start to finish, I have previously used the Henleaze office, this time it was the Westbury-on-Trym office, and they have been equally good.

Pascha, in particular, was very helpful in advising how to get the house best presented for sale, and then the sales team as a whole were very efficient in providing details of viewings and feedback. The initial buyers pulled out at quite a late stage but the team re-sold the house quickly. Julie has been progressing the sale and keeping me well informed. It has been quite a difficult chain and some of the solicitors have been challenging but Julie has relentlessly kept on top of them all and provided regular updates. I like that most communication is by phone rather than email.
