Unprofessional. AVOID at all costs!!!
I had a deeply upsetting experience with this agency, I can’t give it a zero, so I will give it a one. After a failed application, they attempted to unlawfully withhold my holding deposit of over £400 by misrepresenting the Tenant Fees Act 2019 and making factually incorrect claims about my guarantor’s residency status.
As a foreign person living in the UK, I felt targeted by their intimidation tactics. Kier Hawkins was incredibly rude on the phone, he screamed at me and treated me like I was "dumb" for asking legitimate questions about my application and deposit. It felt like they were banking on me not knowing the local laws.
It was only after I formally involved The Property Ombudsman in my emails that the Director finally agreed to a refund. Even then, the final correspondence from the office, including the director, was spiteful and unprofessional.
They don’t care about tenants rights.
If you are from any international background, please be very careful with this branch. They use bullying and misinformation to try and keep your money. Document everything and know your rights!... Read more
