We’re so grateful to Noora Kadhim for her support throughout what turned out to be a particularly stressful sale. She brought warmth and a personal touch to the process, and we always felt she genuinely cared about us and our move.<br><br>Even after the sale, she checked in to see how we were settling in and offered to help with anything we needed, which we really appreciated.<br><br>A special shout-out to Nadim too, who was always available on the phone to answer our queries and offer helpful suggestions—even about properties that weren’t being sold through Ellis & Co. Moved into a property managed by them 2 days ago. Issues with the flat that were promised to be fixed by the time I moved in were not fixed. Broken windows, dirty flat overall and on top of that the shower doesn't work properly. They sent someone on the friday who did not fix the issue. They said that someone would contact me to arrange a visit on Saturday and it did not happen. Now it is a sunday and I can only hope that I can have a decent shower on Monday at least.<br>It looks like it will be a long tenancy....<br><br>Turns our they did send someone yesterday just didn't tell me the outcome until I contacted them today.<br>Making it even worse a whole pipe work will need to be done in the flat and I won't be able to shower in the meantime!<br>How would you let someone move into a flat that is not ready for basic needs??? This is inhumane. Might need to get citizens advice involved as Kier Hawkins ignores questions about compensations or solutions for the meantime. Appaling.<br><br>Update: going to the 6th day without a shower in the property I just moved into with no alternative offered in the meantime.

We chose Ellis & Co Kenton as the agency for our first rented property. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing.
Within three months of moving in, several maintenance issues began to arise. Although one or two minor issues were addressed, many others remained unresolved despite repeated requests. Some repairs were promised within a week of moving in, but even after a full year, they were never completed.
When it came time to renew the tenancy, the agency wanted to increase the rent. We agreed to the increase on the condition that the outstanding maintenance issues would finally be resolved. Instead, we were informed that the landlord wanted the property back for renovation and were given notice to leave.
While I understand that landlords have the right to regain possession of their property, being asked to leave after only one year was extremely stressful for my wife and me. We had settled into the property and invested in furniture, expecting to stay much longer.
Having to search for a new home during Ramadan while fasting was particularly difficult. As both of us work full-time during the week, we only had weekends available to view properties. The sudden need to find a new home, move out, and settle elsewhere caused significant stress and emotional distress. My wife's health was affected by the situation and she continues to experience issues related to the stress it caused.
We repeatedly asked the agency to discuss our concerns with the landlord, but we felt that they consistently sided with the landlord and provided very little support to us as tenants.
Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, and we did not feel valued or supported as tenants.
