I made an enquiry relating to the recent successful sale of my (non UK resident) brother's apartment by MIles & Barr's Birchington Office. It was for Capital Gains Tax purposes, and I was anticipating a laborious process, as with most things these days. My call was taken by Tom, a Senior Branch Manager, who explained what he could do. Within a very short time, he emailed the information requested, in the format required. I was very pleased with this rapid and efficient response for what was a 'non mainstream' question on a very hot August day. He is truly an asset to the business, so helpful and a pleasure to deal with. We have used Miles & Barr for a number of transactions now and they have always been very successful.

It has been an absolute pleasure meeting & dealing with Bobby (Mahon) from the Herne Bay branch.<br>He first showed us round a property which wasn't quite right for us but then suggested another, that hadn't made it to market at the time.<br>He swiftly arranged a viewing that same afternoon & it turned out to be the one we're now proceeding with! I can't thank him enough for getting us to be the first & only viewers!<br>We met for a revisit yesterday with Bobby at the property & he gave us all the time we needed to take everything in. He answered all our questions & if he didn't know the answers himself, he found out quickly from the vendor.<br>He is polite, knowledgeable & everything you would want your estate agent to be.<br>If he keeps up the good work he will have a great career ahead of him :).<br>Many thanks<br>Sandra & Phil

Steve came to value our house today and was excellent throughout. He was friendly and informative and took the time to explain everything clearly. He offered honest, helpful advice, even though we’re not looking to sell at the moment. We really appreciated the time he spent with us and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him.

Fran showed us around a house this week and she was incredible. I was viewing on my own with two small children and she accommodated us fantastically and kept my eldest entertained so I could focus on the property. She was incredibly caring and no questions were too much to ask.

Not a completely awful experience. But despite explaining at the valuation that they worked for us and not the buyer, they seemed to be more interested in the buyers needs than ours, trying to get us to accept rubbish offers. In the end, we didn’t listen to them and got a better deal because of it. They also were constant with communication, which could be helpful except they updated us with essentially no update.
However, they were quick in listing and had a great online set up with photos etc and were on target with initial valuation.
Definitely feels like part of a big firm now, which has it’s benefits and drawbacks.
