Had an amazing experience renting out with Romans Swindon mainly down to Jason. Was extremely helpful throughout the entire process always checked up on us and made sure he knew exactly what are wants and needs were. He was extremely understanding and proactive and honestly made the experience just so much easier for us.

My experience with Romans was very stressful. The flat smelled and was very dirty when I moved in, yet I was later charged for cleaning that I disputed. There was also confusion among staff about my already agreed move out date, and I was asked to pay for 'extra days' I stayed in my own flat, despite having written confirmation that I would not be charged. Getting my deposit back then turned into a process that lasted months.<br><br>I had to send repeated emails, make phone calls, visit their office twice and eventually escalate the matter to head office before it was resolved. Communication was very poor, and I received conflicting information from different members of staff about my deposit.<br><br>If you rent through Romans, keep records of all emails and agreements, make sure everything is confirmed in writing, and be prepared to follow up repeatedly.<br><br>Based on my experience, I would not recommend renting through Romans.

Alishma was helpful and proactive. There was a last minute hitch on completion day but she jumped in to help resolve the situation, which thankfully meant we were able to complete on the day as planned.

We bought our house with Romans in Fleet in July 2025, after almost two years of searching and working with several agencies in different areas. Once we decided to focus on Fleet, Romans truly stood out.
Special thanks to Charlie and Matthew, who were outstanding throughout the process. Communication was fast and proactive, and their support during negotiations was excellent. Thanks to their efforts, we achieved a very good price reduction, which played a key role in making the purchase happen. They were also very helpful in arranging multiple viewings to suit our needs.
The only area that could be improved is the move manager role. Unfortunately, this part of the process was more stressful than helpful. Communication around completion and moving day (keys, meeting point, and next steps) was unclear and came very late, which caused unnecessary confusion. At such a critical stage, clearer guidance and better coordination would make a big difference.
That said, the Romans Fleet team stepped in to resolve the issues, and overall it was a genuinely positive experience. They helped facilitate the process for both buyer and seller, avoided unnecessary obstacles, and handled negotiations in a friendly, positive, and professional way.
After some very poor experiences with other agencies in Fleet, I can confidently say that Romans Fleet is one of the best agencies in the area, and I would happily recommend them.

Having recently completed the sale of a property with Romans, I must give a shout out to Roman's Sales Progressor, Hannah Russell. Hannah did everything she could to help progress our sale, liaising with both our own and our buyer's solicitors to help move things along and she was a pleasure to deal with.
