My experience with romans was mixed, there was a few things I weren’t happy about with e.g how I was told I shouldn’t put offers on more than 1 property at the same time etc. I understand from a business perspective romans have to stay impartial and have the best solution for both parties, but I believe that’s part of business.
However my experience with Filip Podgorski directly is what led to me to write this review.
Filip was very responsive and understanding and catered towards my needs whilst making me feel seen. Nowadays it’s hard to find people in customer service jobs that go the extra mile with empathy and Filip done just that. I hope this review is picked up by the team and he gets the recognition he deserves.

We have now completed on our second property sale through Romans. The service throughout was excellent. We were well informed at each stage. Hannah, our move manager was so patient and driven to aid communication with our purchaser's solicitor. We highly recommend the Reading sales team.

A very professional and efficient service from the Romans Lower Earley Lettings team, whom I’ve been using for 20 years. Jake looked after our most recent let from start to finish and gave great confidence to me, our outgoing tenants and new tenants. He has been attentive, and thorough with great communications, to make the whole process smooth and pleasant. Thank you again.

What can I say , I only decided to put my place on rent a few weeks ago and Swati walked me through the whole process. No question was too much as I had many with the new Laws coming in. She was always calm in her approach and always returned my calls. I also had a last min glitch and Swati was on the case straightaway and got it sorted quickly. They are rigorous in the checks and making sure everything is in place. Thank you very much and also wanted to say thank you Maryam who supported me through the process and paperwork. Great team ??????

Very good experience with Romans who we used for letting our property for many years then who helped us sell it. Jarred and Catherine were very helpful and communicative, giving us regular updates on the sale progress and keeping in touch with the other party. Would recommend ??????

We bought our house with Romans in Fleet in July 2025, after almost two years of searching and working with several agencies in different areas. Once we decided to focus on Fleet, Romans truly stood out.
Special thanks to Charlie and Matthew, who were outstanding throughout the process. Communication was fast and proactive, and their support during negotiations was excellent. Thanks to their efforts, we achieved a very good price reduction, which played a key role in making the purchase happen. They were also very helpful in arranging multiple viewings to suit our needs.
The only area that could be improved is the move manager role. Unfortunately, this part of the process was more stressful than helpful. Communication around completion and moving day (keys, meeting point, and next steps) was unclear and came very late, which caused unnecessary confusion. At such a critical stage, clearer guidance and better coordination would make a big difference.
That said, the Romans Fleet team stepped in to resolve the issues, and overall it was a genuinely positive experience. They helped facilitate the process for both buyer and seller, avoided unnecessary obstacles, and handled negotiations in a friendly, positive, and professional way.
After some very poor experiences with other agencies in Fleet, I can confidently say that Romans Fleet is one of the best agencies in the area, and I would happily recommend them.

Francesca was such a support both in trying to sell my house and finding me a property.
Her attention to detail, listening to my specific needs and working hard to find a suitable property.
She remained focused and professional throughout but was friendly and positive.
She went above and beyond to ensure I got my forever home and I would recommend Romans because of her approach to selling homes.
