This is one of the worst estate agencies I've ever dealt with. They take your money then refuse to reply to you for weeks coming up with excuse after excuse. Ever day it's a different excuse about why they are so useless and unprofessional. Total scam. They will cost you money in wasted time.

Ellis Matthews at the Ryton branch has been an absolute god send ?????? she's been lovely, professional and extremely patient with me as this has been my first time buying and she never hesitated to help when I called up with questions or to help me chase my own solicitors when I couldn't get a response from them. Had a great experience with RMS. They made the process as easy and smooth as it could possibly be from the very beginning. The whole team in Forest Hall were helpful every step of the way, providing updates and patiently answering my questions, and towards the end Nicola really went above and beyond to get my sale over the line. Rook Matthews Sayer (Jesmond) have managed my property for the last 17 years, including around 15 years as a rental property and the last 2 years while it was on the market for sale.
Throughout the rental period they were generally reliable and easy to deal with. Whenever maintenance issues arose, they would contact me promptly and arrange local contractors to carry out the work at reasonable cost. Over a long period of ownership, there were no major problems and I felt the property was looked after well.
During the sales process there were a few challenges, including a complicated issue involving a neighbouring property which resulted in the power being disconnected to the building. Although this took some time to resolve, RMS were able to provide the information I needed and the sale was ultimately completed successfully.
Communication was mainly via email rather than phone calls, but I found the team responsive and helpful whenever I needed assistance. Managing a property from a distance can be difficult, so I appreciated having an agent who could deal with issues on my behalf over many years.
Overall, I would like to thank the team at RMS Jesmond for their support over the last 17 years and wish them all the best for the future.
