16th Feb 2026 (30 days ago)The staff on the phone did not know what a reserve/sinking fund is in the context of a leasehold apartment. I have tried to explain it several times to no effect.<br><br>I later got a reply through email from the manager, stating they do not have the information.<br><br>I have not been abusive in any way.<br><br>Viewings I booked have now been cancelled by them.<br><br>Edited because their Manager has formally notified me that I might be at risk of future escalation through legal channels.<br><br>Just to confirm, they have not threatened me with legal actions.

29th Nov 2024 (1 year ago)I was a tenant via this letting agency for 18 months, while waiting to buy a new home, and had a series of negative experiences. 1) The home I rented was in poor condition throughout. 2) The garden was overgrown and it was my responsibility to address upon moving in. 3) When I raised an issue with poor ventilation leading to mould in the bathroom, I was asked if I could just 'live with it' (despite pointing out I had two young children). 4) A leaking roof took 2 months to repair. 5) A dryer took 2 months to replace. 6) It would take weeks for Dobson's to reply to e-mails, yet harassing e-mails for rent would be received several days before it was due (despite the fact my direct debit was always scheduled for the same time every single month) 7) When I attempted to serve notice at the end of my tenancy, an attempt was made to 'haggle' me into staying longer. 8) Following moving out, the estate agent retains £1230 of my deposit and has failed to even reply to requests for its return. Overall, I would strongly avoid using Dobson's.

Gail McLean has always been our contact there, and she is wonderful; approachable, knowledgeable and professional. Gail and the Sanderson Young team have ensured that our property has been let quickly and to high quality tenants every time. Highly recommend (thanks Gail!)
7th Aug 2021 (4 years ago)Excellent experience overall. Bailey & Co were involved in both the selling and purchase sides of my chain. They managed to negotiate a great selling price on my flat in a very challenging market and always let me know straight away when appropriate properties for me came up buy. Which led to us finding our ideal house. Their sales progression team also did a great job of keeping me up to date on status of the chain and communicating with all parties quickly and efficiently when issues arose. I would definitely use them again. Thanks again to all the team at Bailey & Co for your hard work.

The whole team was professional, efficient and very easy to communicate with from start to finish. I would especially like to highlight Wendy, who was incredibly helpful and professional hroughout the process – always patient, proactive and clear in her updates. She consistently followed up on my questions, kept me informed at every stage and really helped to reduce the stress of buying a property. Sarah and Lorna were also very supportive and responsive whenever I had questions or needed clarification. From viewings and negotiations through to completion, everything felt well organised and well managed. This was my first purchase through a limited company, and their guidance and coordination made a real difference. I am very grateful for all their efforts and would be more than happy to work with Next2buy again in the future. Highly recommended!

The service I gained has been second to none and the girls in the office have been the real deal for me. From now onwards I will exclusively deal with Newcastle lettings for any letting issue.

Any emails were responded to very quickly and any issues dealt with - the property was very new and there were some things the builders had to sort but Catherine kept chasing them to ensure things were fixed. All in all they made the process so easy and efficient and were always so pleasant as well. Deposit was returned the day after I moved out which was fantastic.

We had tried to sell our period home a few years ago, but despite Rob Symonds' best efforts at that time getting prospective buyers through and enthusing them about our home we were let down by a couple of dubious surveyors being unfairly negative about the house. After a few years renting it out, we went to sell again. Selling a home is always stressful but we felt we would be in good hands from our previous experience, and we were not wrong. Claire and Rob provided an efficient, pleasant and 'personal' advice and service throughout, and steered the sale through with little fuss. Thank you!!
