1st Aug 2025 (1 year ago)Was on the market for 3 months without hearing a word from the office, nothing at all until we contacted them. Was apologised to at the point and was told would get regular updates every 4 weeks as a minimum. Another 6 weeks went by with no communication whatsoever until chasing them again. Eventually had enough and took it off the market with them.
20th Jun 2026 (18 weeks ago)Our house sold to the first viewers within the first week of being marketed so we've only had limited contact with the Estate agents so far but everyone has been extremely friendly and helpful. They had great knowledge of the house and the area and were able to provide the buyers with lots of useful information about the house when they came for the viewing. They've been very responsive in getting things moving quickly. Very pleased with the service we've received so far.

4th Sep 2025 (1 year ago)From Valuation onwards through marketing and liaison with the Sales team, the performance of the agent was exceptional. The customer service was efficient warm and friendly with attention to detail and the personal touch made it a delight using them, I got a great service and they travelled to Hunmanby from Scarborough to do the valuations, they were always there early so as not to keep the viewers waiting, whereas in my experience with some other local agents this is not a consideration. During the stressful conveyancing process with Solicitors between Exchange and Completion Tracey and her colleagues gave a massive amount of support and as I have moved numerous times over the years, I can tell you Colin Ellis are the best in North Yorkshire, also their fees too are highly competitive which helps tremendously especially when moving home. You won't be disappointed go with the best believe me my review can be verified and trusted. Many thanks Colin Ellis from Jane Hall, recently sold bungalow in Hunmanby near Filey Last week

21st Jul 2026 (14 weeks ago)Bottom line Boutique failed to sell my property and viewers were few and far between. Have changed agents and interest has picked up. I do not know if that was down to timing, price or marketing, but felt a change was needed to reset.

They dropped prices over a few weekends and gave the impression there was a problem but, the fact we sold it privately within days of making it available elsewhere only goes to show their lack of scruples.

17th Sep 2026 (6 weeks ago)Polished marketing and a “boutique” label did not translate into the service or value we expected. The photographs and brochure were well presented, but our overall experience was disappointing. We trusted their initial pricing advice. Although the starting price was proposed as a short trial, the substantial reductions that followed and the eventual sale price left us questioning, in hindsight, the realism and quality of that advice. The eventual buyers first viewed through this agency. We ended their instruction without an offer having been secured through them, and another agent subsequently negotiated the sale and handled its progression to completion. Given the high fee, we expected much more from the advice, personal support and service provided. In our view, the fee was disproportionate to their contribution to the completed sale. Based on our experience, we would not recommend them.
